Drove past as you were filming (didn't want to bother you). Can't miss a blue R32 parked sideways with that backdrop, that thing looked stunning on a rare sunny day in Auckland.
great video from a fellow kiwi. Bought an 04 Mk4 R32 from a guy in Auckland a few months ago after the Cyclone wasnt prepared to drive it back to the Bay with all of the road damage but what a fabulous car. The previous owner spent a fortune on upgrades like Nuburgring alloys, cat back, coils etc and is just a pleasure to drive
I live in Wolfsburg, Germany And bought mine in Deepblueperleffect 2003 and still own it today. Still a dream car which I will take with me to the grave.
I've had mine since 2015.. bought at 75k nw on 110k absolutely amazing car the engineering excellent and its a well built tough car VW made.. powerful engine especially once torque come in around 2500k feels like a mini turbo or supercharger then pulls strong and again around 4k gets even faster.. feels superior this cat bcuz of the 3.2 VR6
Great review, I run a mint 2004 A3 3.2 Quattro DSG in the UK with the same engine but 250PS, gorgeous sound & very usable real world power for a near 20 year old car. I used to own a V6 4Motion Golf Mark 4 with the 205PS 2.8 VR6, also very characterful. And prior to that I ran a 170bhp VR5 Golf Mark 4, probably my favourite for that incredible warble! I am addicted to that VR sound! Wish I had kept them all now, be quite a garage! Greetings from the UK.
Sitting in one as I write this comment haha. Legacy is faster, but tbh I think the golf is more well rounded. I dunno you’d have to drive both, they’re excellent cars in their own unique way
Mk4 was popular, but Mk4 also had a limited production, so there were only so many to go around. They produced a lot more Mk5, that's why there were more going around.
ah yes the wookie with the typical saggy roof hehe, and the reason having a saggy, owner windows down driving too much listening to the wookie exhaust note
How can anyone not love the vr6 sound?
It's awesome aye!

Haha should have said gidday!
Yeah, well said. I'll drive mine to my end. That VR is addictive. Great to see you enjoyed it.
Good vehicle

all in a hatchback
Yeah man so cool aye

Yeah man they're epic cars
Turboing these become weapons
Oh I imagine
What a lovely example! So clean! I'd love to have one but most of them are super beat up now. Seats usually trashed.
Yeah well they’re old cars now!

Nice man! Good selection
Great review once again, how would you find it compare to H6 Legacy?

That’s true, and mk4 more available in manual
Yeah I kinda regret selling my old Audi A3 with the same engine and trans as the r32. Truly a fun car
Good vehicle
VR5s are something! VR6 yes but VR5?
I’ve also reviewed a VR5 it was excellent
wookie sounds, that headliner almost fell on your head, time to get that sorted mate
lol yeah he has now haha
_a Golf with character_ 👏🏼😬
Yes
how woould you compare it to Integra Type-R in terms of power delivery because power is +- same when K20A from JP
Quite different, much more linear delivery and more torque, different sound
You should review a mk1 audit tt 3.2 vr6
Maybe
magnificent car whether TT or R32
Good vehicle
They're not boring, it's just the chassis which are not as good as the honda's.
Different strokes for different folks
There is 5dr r32 golf 4?
Yep!
im as suprised as you mate
ah yes the wookie with the typical saggy roof hehe, and the reason having a saggy, owner windows down driving too much listening to the wookie exhaust note
Haha that could be the case!
Love mine too. Funny how this beautiful car also has a sagging headliner. 🤣. Fucking VW.
Classic euro car problem aye
Na, they are boring - just make a decent noise
Having driven one I’d strongly disagree
You obviously haven't sat in one, let alone drove one around mate.
@@yndsu used to have one. Classic VAG...
Your not well
