I recently made the decision to drop from my doctorate of occupational therapy (OTD) program after one semester this year due to extreme burnout, anxiety buildup and a bundle of other things that made me feel miserable and lose interest from the profession completely and reconsider my career choice I felt lost before but now I'm accepting that decisions like this it's something that's needed that will have an impact to your life and I am feeling much better little by little from my overall decision and while I am scared and nervous on other things later down the road I am optimistic that at the end of day everything will be alright and this video has me feeling overall grateful for my choice thank you for sharing.
So happy you are still happy with your decision! I can relate so much, although I was not in graduate school, I was in undergrad and I am so happy I dropped out. I am so much happier now. I am in debt but honestly so happy to be done with school for good lol
I'm so sorry you had to deal with the transition of your Mother. That would've done it for me. I just started my Master's and it's HARD for me to stay motivated.
Great said, Elisabeth! The relationship between science and academia is like the relationship between faith and cult. So, no regrets. I’m sure you thrive now.
I'm very proud of you and I'm only a cyber friend! You are so mature, well beyond your years and have a wonderful head on your shoulders. It is so much better that you made the decision now rather than after years of not fulfilling your dreams, Many kids your age simply don't have the reality skills that you do, and all of your advice was SPOT ON!! Another item that I would like to add to your list is to not use marriage as an excuse, answer, or as a means to survive. One of my daughters used a boyfriend as an excuse to not continue with a grad school degree because he was Air Force and was being transferred. Naturally, you guessed it...exit the boyfriend. Even though you already had David in your plans, you were not using the MRS as a degree plan. I can't wait to see how you grow over the years. You are a joy to have on my list of friends. (but I'm never forgiving you for the Greenville incident. :-) )
Thank you so much 🥺❤️ And yesssss! Getting a "Mrs Degree" isn't something you can use as a career! Everyone deserves to have a career they're passionate about and that can keep them standing on their own two feet without having to completely depend on a spouse. And you should never let a spouse hold you back as an excuse from your dreams, having someone who 100% supports all of your crazy dreams is so important! 👏🏼
Suggestion! I think you should update the intro to your video for the next while. Since not many people can travel right now it might be a bit more marketable to make an intro featuring something else? Your photography skills? Idk!
It's actually been on my list to update my intro but I just feel like all of my non traveling clips are so *boring* compared to what I'm used to 😂 I'm hoping I can convince David to film something fun with me here in a few weeks!
I’m so glad that you don’t regret dropping out of grad school! I’m currently trying to decide if I want to get my masters!

Oh Elizabeth.... You're doing great! I'm proud of you!
Thank you so much ❤️
Why would anyone do a PhD in a practical degree like PT? I am confused.
Thank you soooo much for this video!
You’re so welcome 🥰

This video wasn't even about her traveling. It was about her dropping out of PT school and if she had any regrets about it.
