The Sig 365 XL. I first review the XL about 6 months ago, and my first though was it may be the best option currently on the market for a year round carry gun. Check out the vid to see if I still have that opinion.

I agree with you 100%....The P365XL is the perfect size carry gun, I carry mine all year long with a backup 15 round mag.
I just bought one few weeks ago. Use to carry Glock 19 for winter than switched to fns 9c for summer. Now I carry the xl for summer so thin and concealable. Love it excellent choice
@@889976889 I bought one a month ago with a romeo zero, I carry it every day now. 12+ and 15 backup mag, easier to carry than a glock 19, what more can you ask for?
My only complaint is how expensive the mags are, $50 a pop.
@ mike I carried mine in the summer time really easy to conceal. I’m a big guy the grip is a little thin for my liking but for edc great choice.
I hate Glock guys... Damn it! They all compare the Sig stock out the box with a Glock with aftermarket mags, aftermarket sights, grip tape and all the shit you put on a Glock. How is that an apples to apples comparison? Be straight and say... Sig rocks out of the box way better than Glock! And for them folks taking about reliability, please remember Sig is the military brand of choice.

Great thoughts with many valid points. The hard truth for a Glock lover like me to accept has been that Sig is doing it right out of the box. No $.25 trigger job, no sight change and no stippling which means I have about the same money and less time invested in a new, untouched Sig than I do a Glock post mods. This coming from a guy who recently did a video on the 48 as my goldilocks CCW. I would never steer anyone away from Glock, but I think Sig has a better overall product right now. I just picked up a 365XL a couple weeks ago and I can't believe how good that gun is. My 365 with the 10 round mag is assigned to deep carry and the XL will serve both carry and home defense roles.

365XL is my daily carry. All stock, 1500+ rounds thru it with zero issues. I have a second one with 500 thru it, also with zero issues.

Even to get the G48 to the point to where it’s like the XL you have to pay all this money- upgrade the sights, stipple it (or talon grips), and buy those 15 rd mags. In my opinion, XL beats it out all day right out of the box. Only thing glock has going for it in this battle is the slightly bigger frame for semi easier shootability. And after market support. It is around 100$ less than the XL but in sights alone you’ll make up that difference. I still like the glocks though, not trying to bash them. I own a 365 and a G19. Love them both.

If you want one more complication to the debate between G48 vs P365XL, Magguts has +2 spring kits out/coming out for the Sig. If we’re comparing aftermarket S15 Glock mags it’s only fair to compare to the aftermarket modified Sig mags, that give you 14+1 flush and 17+1 extended. We’re about maxed on potential capacity at this point.
Things I find suspicious: 1. left handed shooters 2. Redheads 3. Real estate agents 4. Guys wearing bowties. 3 out of 4....... not sure if I can take this video to the bank. You do sound convincing though. Might have to go after the XL.

How does it conceal under tshirt, polo shirt, or button down casual AIWB ? Thinking about the XL too.
I've handled, and shot, Glocks of various sizes. Hell, I own 2 myself. Son loves his, I never fired the first round out of either of mine until I had put P80 frames on them. I'm picking up my 365XL tomorrow, and I've heard nothing but glowing praise from any of the videos I've watched. I've handled it, and I like it a lot! did the test drill, one of my own, of make sure the weapon is clear and holster it. face your target, close your eyes, and draw. Open your eyes and see where the gun is pointed. This works with my 1911's, my P80ed Glocks, and the 365XL.
MagGuts came out with a +2 kit for the P365XL 12 round mags which bump them up to 14+1, and no negative impact on concealability. It doesn't quite add 1/8 inch to the magazine. This gun is the perfect fit for my hand, easy to conceal on my small body, and I am accurate with it. And now, with 15 rounds ready to go, plus another 14 in reserve, I am ready for about anything.
Carried a 1911 for 2 decades, then a G19 seven years, then a Sig P320cRX MS 5 years, now a Sig P365XL MS R0. Really like the P365XL, Romeo Zero, Manual Safety; easy to carry, 12+1, accurate & dependable. It’s the closest to perfect I’ve found..
I just picked this gun up today and went out on the range to shoot 200 rounds! The sights are great and out to the 25 I had great groups. For this size gun I was amazed! I have a Glock 43 and this one is just as easy to carry and has less kick back with more rounds. I am already in lve with this weapon.
FBI statistics show that a confrontation is over within three rounds. I really think 12 + 1 rounds hits the sweet spot for CCW. My S&W M&P 9 2.0 has 17 + 1 however the extra rounds makes the pistol heavy to carry with out extra holster support. I use my S&W M&P 9c with the 17 round 2.0 magazines for annual qualifying. The Sig p365 XL is my EDC pistol.
my first gun purchase and i am in love , slapped a holosun, tlr 7 sub , talon grips, and theres some aftermarket mag springs that allow u to carry an extra 2 rounds i believe
I’ve been a deputy for 16 years, an old timer told me when I qualified with my 3.5” 1911 .45. He said if you put 2 well placed rounds to the threats head there’s no need for 15 rounds. Lol
You forgot that you can get 365 XL with a 15 rd Mag and it’s only about an 1/8 of an inch longer than the G48 flush fit mags
I usually carry mine with it. Until I get to wearing lighter shirts in the summer. Then I go to the 12

XL: the manual safety and no trigger pull field strip did it for me.
I usually carry an XL with the 15rd mag in it. When I get to wearing lighter stuff and want a little more conealment I put the 12 in there.
15 rounds is P320 subcompact. Although I much prefer the 365 XL for daily carry. Literally no thought, just jam it in and go. T-shirt=no problem. Shorts=no problem. You should factor in a red dot and Sig pulls ahead IMO.
I carry. The XL love it. I also carry the P01 Omega in the winter sometimes and it’s about the Size of the G19 (which I also own) I love to mix up my carry options but the P365 XL is kinda the perfect niche gun for carrying anytime. To each their own they are all fabulous firearms, stay safe everyone!
Sig 365xl comes with 2x 12 mags. And you can buy a 15 round mag for it. I bought one. Look forward to shooting it

Plus stipling can be a big deal. Ultimately though, it will come down to trigger. XL has an okay trigger, abd glock is still shit so it would seem still evenly matched
Sam Sam, I like the regular P365 trigger better. And for the Glock, a Ghost connector is a very good and cheap “fix”.
And the 43x and 48 have a rail from the factory. I'm still going to stick with the regular 365 and just throw the 12 or 15 rounds in when needed. I like the fact I can take it down to a 10 rounder for EDC.

Real winners carry a P365-XL with a standard P365 grip module with an enhanced floor plate. It has the same grip profile as an XL, but retains the option to run 10 round mags if needed, comes RDS ready and has a longer slide (better sight radius and less muzzle flip). With my XL I can run a really compact 10 round mag, the standard 12 round XL mag or the 15 round mag (which is amazeballs with the Tactical Dev aftermarket floor plate. Check out my short video on it. DO IT. Or don't, whatevs.
Warrior Works Training, very good scenario!! I personally like the opposite option, with the short slide and larger grip. It’s more comfortable for AIWB and for my grip. But that’s the beauty of the P365 platform, you can have the configuration you want! There is even metal aftermarket grips out there...
I carry my XL with the 15 round mag. And two extra 15 rounders on my other hip. Year round. But I also live in the south where our winters aren’t that cold.
Thank you for being honest about printing. Hate people that claim you can carry anything in summer without printing.

I'm more excited to see guns designed around the Shield S15 than I am about the 43x and 48--I think we've reached max efficiency when it comes to 9mm magazines. Just imagine a P365XL frame or CZ P10 series gun designed around the S15 magazine.
My EDC is a full size 226 Legion. I have carried for several years now and it has become my security blanket. I carry it every day, everywhere, even when she has been a pain in the ass to carry, she has become my soulmate. Like a marriage, she gets on my nerves, I hate that she is ALWAYS with me, never leaves me alone, always on my ass and yet I cannot leave her behind. I don't feel complete if I don't feel her on my hip. I do own a XL. I love it. I have carried it when I just could not carry my 226. My problem is that even though I love my XL and have tried SO HARD to convert to carrying it and leaving my 226 at home, I just can't do it. Many times, I have started walking out to my car with my XL on my hip and just before getting in my car, I stop, go back inside and put my XL away and strap my 226 to my hip. WHY CAN'T I CONVERT??? I want to, so bad but I can't.
Of coarse it’s all subjective but the vid still a valuable insight & worth hearing. I was having a hunch about the same thing -the XL as perfect size but he confirmed my instinct. (I also think the Shield w extended mag is the perfect “Goldilocks of size” as Gunsmoke calls it.

If you go with shield arms you have to get the plus power springs for the magazine. Out 6 I ve been around theyre 100% with plus power and 90% reliable without. The downside is you will not be able to use the slide
Release to chamber a round. I ve got strong hands and can’t, with factory slide catch. I am playing with some aftermarkets if anyone is interested. Suarez International has been mounting RMRs to the 43 slides for 2 years. I ve got 5000 rounds thru one. It’s holding up great.
365XL all day
Slight thing to keep in mind, you can pop out the polymer frame from the SIG and replace it with the frame from the smaller 365. The frame is like 30 bucks. It gives you options.

Just about to pick up a XL. I look forward to switching out the frame for something smaller in the summer, and larger in the winter. Its exactly what I wanted to do with a Glock in a slimmer packgae.
Heres a bit of info. MagGuts spring kit for 365xl= 14+1 capasity. Very well made and easy to install.
Can we get a "meet & greet" with your dog? Doesn't have to take a bunch of time. He/she looks super chill.

I have a P365 that is my primary carry. Always use the 12 rounder for full grip and of course capacity. Prints less and I forget that it's there.
My other carry is a 43x with SA 15 mags an XS big dot. I am also disappointed about the MOS thing, but I'm not even sure if I'd use a red dot. I'd like to try a TLR7 Sub though.
If I was going to buy a carry gun today, it'd probably be a P365xl Tac Pac. Can be had for $550 plus $20 FFL. Probably get my fav Vedder holster anyway, but still a good value with the mags.
With a light, it could maybe even replace my nightstand G19/TLR1 HL.
The xl comes with everything you need instead of having to spend 500 dollars on the Glock just to make it like the xl
If you’re a veteran or LEO you can get the 365xl for around $500 from GT Distributors. Even if you pay full price at $600 it’s still easily worth it when you compare it to any other pistol. Out of the box it has more features than anything. Glock 85% Perfection 😢
First of all it's fun to watch the movie. Secondly. I also carry Glock for many years, however, the main advantage of Sig is that unlike Glock I do not have to invest beyond what I paid at the time of purchase. what does it mean? Sights, anyone who has bought a Glock knows that they must be replaced because they are simply broken. Cartridges/mags, cost extra. In other words, the purchase is more expensive and less worthwhile. Third, the feeling. Like I said I'm a man of Glock, but when I held Sig in my hands, wow !!! It's comfortable! The only thing that i might change, is to make the trigger gourd more similar to the Glock because I use it at a finger support point for my support hand, to increase accuracy. Besides, nothing!
I carry a Hybrid....a SIG P365 with a P365XL grip module and flat trigger,,,,the perfect compromise!!
Most self defense situations are 3 shots at 3 feet . Red dots are are beyond useless at that range and for that matter even iron sights are . Red dots are for impressing your friends at the range stop pretending theyre good for self defense thats not really why you run them lol
Been looking hard at 365xl. Then for some reason the other day I started looking at smith &Wesson m&p sheild plus 13 +1 capacity. Really like the looks of that pistol as well. Decisions, Decisions.....

I just bought the 365 xl for my summer carry gun. I live in a midwestern state and am a taller person (so concealing a full size isn't a problem but not something i want to do in the summer). My Winter carry is a p226 legion in 365 sig. (sig makes p226 40 s&w/357 sig mags in 12 or 15 rounds as well).
For me, I shoot sig better, the glocks.. that grip angle just doesn't do it for me. Also I am buying the 15 round mags for the 365 xl and will potentially put a red dot on it.

I have a p365 and seen sooooo many with failure to return to battery in the past year in the p365 xl. That's the only issue holding me back from purchasing it. Just trying to get feedback from those who own one, regarding whether this is still an issue, thanks!

P365 XL for the win
I like the P365. I believe for a CCW the Glock 36 is my choice for now. Bothe a kick ass guns i'd trust with my life.
Boils down to when you need a bit more gun for an EDC yet you wish to still be comfortable and with minimal possibilities of printing while conceal the XL is the one. Just the Sig X-Ray3 Day/Night sights alone with the 3.7 barrel seal the deal. The icing on the cake is the flat trigger and that it’s red dot optics ready. Lastly that you can carry an extended spare magazine that carries 15rds giving you a total of 28 rounds is more than comforting to handle just about anything. Living in South Florida with light leisure casual wear year round due to the sub tropic weather the Sig Sauer p365 XL hits the sweet spot as he says.

If we considered which gun is better stock, I’d probably go with the 365xl. If money was no object, a g48 from agency arms with a 507k and 15rd mags from shield arms with the +10% springs would be my choice.

Yeah the grip on the 48/43X just sticks out way too much when you have the mag in. The P365 XL is basically the same size as an M&P Shield, but with 12 rounds.

Let me throw the CZ P-10S into the conversation. Almost identical in size to the G48 with the option of 12 +1 or 14 +1 capacity. I’m testing one at this time. BTW, my two carry pistols are the regular P365 with the XL grip module and a G48 with Ameriglo sights and the S-15 mag. Thanks for the video.

Was the best until the Hellcat Pro recently! I sold my 365XL. Didn’t like how the mag doesn’t have that positive ejection, had to grab and strip the magazine out each time. And the magazine release button is in an awkward front-facing position and is almost flush to the frame. Wasn’t a fan of the sights either. Overall a great shooting gun. But the minor details made it a no for me. I’ll pick up the Hellcat Pro!

Those Sigs are pretty awesome, but have you put a 43X in your hands? Unlike the P365, it does NOT feel too small, and with those Shield Arms magazines, you get that 15+1 capacity. This is my EDC, and it's amazing. I'd have to say, it is the perfect carry gun. Still, if you go with Sig, I can't fault you on that. Like I said, they're pretty awesome.
Love my G19, but picked up a P365 a while back and finally realizing how much I love it. I can wear swim trunks and a tank top and still conceal being 5’7 and a twig. Getting an XL grip for it ($59) and rolling with that all year round

Carry an XL now but that's definitely been an option I've looked at.
I'm new to your channel, but it looks like you are a lefthanded shooter. I will caution you, currently the Shield arms mags do not have the cutout to accommodate the mag release to be reversed for a lefthanded shooter. I am a lefthanded shooter, and with most lefties, we've become very proficient at working the mag release with the middle finger of our shooting hand. I have both a 48 and a 43X, as well as about 6 or 7 of the Shield Arms mags. I have yet to have an issue with one. I did install their metal mag release, but they have worked flawlessly for me. Good luck.

@@1911syndicate I've carried both of mine at times. I find the 43X so easy to shoot, that I don't feel like the longer slide gives me enough of a benefit to offset the additional size. I've settled on the 43X. Enjoy
Size of the gun doesn’t really matter; the name of the game is shot placement . I definitely don’t like shorter barrels, because it often means shorter sight picture / easier to miss. But I don’t understand this concept of “undergunned.”
I agree 💯%...I carry mine 365. I’ll take a Sig over a Glock even though both are great...plus the XL handles the recoil very well

A couple things... I don't think you mentioned the 15 round sig mag. It's a bit klunky though. Check out Tactical Development's website. They have base odds for the 12 and 15 round mags that really improve the feel of both. They also have a cool rail adapter that allows use of picatinny mount devices. But if you get the rail adapter you'll need a new holster. They have a list of holster makers that are compatible. I'm running an Olight Baldr Mini on the adapter on a 365XL with a McKenna Tech AIWB holster. Stay safe. Keep making vids. I get a kick out of your attitude...

This is the best carry gun there is!! I can’t explain how awesome this gun is. The XL is my favorite gun even being a smaller gun!! Glocks suck!

Nobody ever gives any love to the G26, i mean its a very versatile ccw gun. Feels like a full size gun and it takes G17 and G19 mags. I own the p365 and a G26 and the one im keeping for ccw classes is the G26 based on shooting feel alone and ease of use. Not saying the P365 is a bad choice but personally having shot them side by side i shoot the glock better. The problem you run into when making the gun thinner and thinner is that when you go to draw it under stress. There just isnt much to grab onto, which could ( if not trained for properly ) complicate your draw.
G26 is the devil's gun
The shield arms mags are great, but since they are aftermarket(seems everything on glocks is these days) the mag catch then needs to be changed. Now your stuck using shield mags only and if some become unreliable your kind of up a creek.

Glock 43x customized with a custom, trigger, threaded barrel, comp and 15 round shield arms magazine plus a backup 20 round shield arms mag you keep in your pocket is the best carry gun IMO.

@ 1:30 in.. you need to research the effectiveness of the modern 9mm round. It is the same round out of both the sig 365 and the Glock 19. Makes very little difference!

XL without after market purchases ALL DAMN DAY LONG it isn’t even close. Better trigger, better capacity, comes with night sights, stippled grip, and optic ready. Funny how you say you’re “waiting” for another 48 to release this is where Glock disappoints me so much.

I love my 365 XL and my standard 365. Check out Tactical Development. They make rail adapters for both guns. I put one on my XL. Fits great and the Inforce APL C works well with the gun. Great video. Keep up the great work.

All of the new Subcompact options are awesome, M&P 2.0, FN 509 SC, P10-S, PPQ SC etc.
All a tad larger/heavier, but you wouldn't feel under gunned. I'm on the verge of jumping on the 2.0. Size, Grip angle, reliability and price. I have the std 365 and love it for the same reasons. However, I have shot the XL several times and feels like a high intensity vibration runs thru it.
