You need to learn the power of your hand when crossing the road in Malaysia 😂 btw it's only work when the car is slow.. do it at your own risk.

I think Malaysian drivers could just take better care of pedestrians. It’s free to be kind and consider each others safety 🥰

@welikemalaysia malaysian kindness and consideration are mostly when it's involved in foods. When they drive, it's like another spirit possess them 🫠 especially after working hour or Friday. Do you know we have more accidents on Friday?

@@welikemalaysia Actually its became a culture in Malaysia where the road belong to motor vehicles only which is very bad culture.
The sharing road attitude is not there yet.
This need huge intervention from local authority. From promoting road safety till enforcement.
We live in society, to solve the problem need collectively integrated solution from local authorities, laws till enforcement.
Telling Malaysian to be kind to other road user will not work 😂
Don't get me wrong, I teach my family members to be good to all road user, respect other road user as they are as your family members. I am cycling, running, pedestrian, riding motorbike, car, scooter, so I know very well this problematic attitude regarding Malaysian's motorist driver & rider 😂
Actually you can search why people so inferior when they start driving. It is global issue & Malaysia is one of the worst 😂
Again, must change this bad driver's attitude but need local authorities to take action at full scale.

I am from Singapore and usually drive to KL. You got it wrong about the zebra crossing. The zebra crossing is in yellow and black stripes usually in front of a kindergarten or primary school allowing kids to cross a street easily and there is a signboard saying "Beri Laluan" meaning "Give Way". The white stripes in your video means you can cross it lawfully without following the pedestrian traffic light when there is no cars but the cars don't have to stop for you. The yellow stripes means you can cross it lawfully without following the traffic light. The difference is the driver can't stop his car on this yellow stripes when there is a heavy traffic jam where cars line up in a nose to tail situation The yellow line on the side of the road means you can't pull over and wait on the yellow line. The same goes to a yellow box in a T junction. So during a heavy traffic jam, there is a gap in the yellow box or stripes for the pedestrians to cross the street lawfully. I have seen policeman giving summons to drivers who fail to follow this rule. However in a junction where there is a traffic light but without any stripes, you are not allowed to cross the street when there is no cars until the pedestrian light turns green but in Malaysia pedestrians usually don't follow this rule unlike in Singapore offenders would be prosecuted like in China CCTVs are everywhere. Have a nice adventure!

You're wrong about the zebra crossing. I am Malaysian. White stripes mean vehicles MUST STOP when there are pedestrians trying to cross. Yellow stripes mean who ever comes first has the right of way. In both situations cars actually need to stop but as usual the majority of drivers won't stop at all

@@spalderz The definition of a Zebra crossing is always to give priority to pedestrians to cross as you have said and in Singapore we follow this rule but in Malaysia, you have several definitions. You have the zebra crossing with the signboard "Beri Laluan or Give Way" and the ones without this signboard. Then you have the zebra crossings together with the traffic lights. My first experience driving in Bukit Bintang area in KL has thought me that I must follow the common motorist's rule. In front of Wolo, Lot 10 and Mc Donalds, there are many zebra crossings. My experience : When the traffic light turned green for the motorists to go, I did not go because there is a zebra crossing just in front of me with an army of pedestrians waiting to cross the zebra path. The rest of the vehicles were charging forward and I was the only one waiting there and the motorist behind me was really mad because I had blocked him. Later, I found out that motorists and pedestrians follow the traffic light rule and not the zebra crossing rule. The purpose of the zebra crossing in front of the Mc Donalds is just an indication of the right path to walk and in conclusion, when the traffic light is green for me as a motorist, I MUST NOT STOP in front of the zebra crossing unless the pedestrian uses the power of the hand. This is my Malaysian adventure as a Singaporean businessman driving from Singapore to KL.

The food portions in restaurants are huge
Cigarettes and alcohol in pubs are super expensive
Drivers actually follow the speed limit

As a Malaysian I am sad that you're correct. Motorbikers don't care about safety & law at all, car drivers are selfish & cutting queues all the time, too much plactics are being used & people litter on the ground, beach, drain & rivers. We're still a 3rd world country no matter how great are our KLCC, Bukit Bintang & shopping malls

You need to spend more time in Malaysia, cause you're only getting things half right.
The first one, you're walking on the area designated for motorcycle, bicycle and pedestrian, cause you're on a bridge while you're recording it.
The second, you're obviously are referring to jaywalkers... They never used the proper crossing.
You're correct on the third one though.
