      the greatest news ever! ⬇️
      In the very beginning of time God created all & it was good, His plan was to have Him & His creation live in utopia. the satan deceived God’s creation so that wouldn’t happen, we choose evil. Evil has its consequences, death & hell separation from God for eternity is the consequence for disobeying an everlasting God. God doesn’t want that for any of His creation so He sent His Son Jesus(God in the flesh) & Jesus lived the perfect life. Died the death as a criminal, & resurrected, all so that we could have eternal life if we have faith in His beautiful sacrifice. This is God’s plan!!!!

    The problem with Cliff was that he wasn’t that good of a player. In scouting him, I noticed all he do was dunk or score on put backs. He didn’t have the skill set as this narrator has said. He was ineffective outside of 8 feet. He was super raw and needed to improve every aspect of his game with the exception of rebounding. He is a guy who needed 3 years at least before he even sniffed a NBA court, whether it was college or G League. Notice that his “highlight” package was all dunks. When he got to Kansas, everyone found out how much work he needed. He went undrafted after that one college year because NBA scouts realized he couldn’t play. I likened him to Thomas Robinson and Derrick Williams, two other PFs who were high picks but couldn’t play. Both of them had a good NCAA tourney and teams got enamored.

    • @gmoney8399
      @gmoney8399 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      100% right. Die hard Jayhawk here. Ya he wasn’t very skilled. He needed at least 3 years to develop his shooting, passing, and dribbling. T Rob is a great comparison. Cliff’s high school highlight reel was all dunks and as soon as he matched up with plays his size or bigger he was completely neutralized. Had some potential though. KU has had a lot of great big men, but also a lot of big men that didn’t live up to the their hype…. Cliff, Diallo, Bragg, Preston, and De Souza to name a few

    Cliff Alexander wasn't the first big flop. There was Reggie Harding from Detroit Eastern in 1961, and Les Cason from East Rutherford NJ in 1971. Cason, the unanimous preseason #1 player in 1971, didn't even make it through the season as the #1 player. And his replacement, Campy Russell from Pontiac Central Michigan, also fell by the wayside. Has anybody ever heard of these guys?

  • @jamieprocino8462

    I recall him being #2 and finished around 4. Wasn’t that strong of a class- he was a tweener with very little ball skill that dominated being bigger and more aggressive then his competition. He did play in the Nba though and is still playing overseas I believe. Simply rated higher then he should have been

      He was ranked No.1 in his position but his last ranking by ESPN was No. 3 overall. That ranking may have fluctuated from what I remember.

    This guy's only 26, lots of guys get moved from NBA team to NBA team to D-League to overseas. I wouldn't recommend any recruit to go to KU, they overstack talent and underachieve consistently.

    Love the vids just one small critique if you're not completely aware you just can't say something rarely happen or didn't happen for a time period especially if you weren't there or old enough to remember for example the hat fake out commitment been happening since the early 00s and possibly before then or notion that it wasn't common for freshmen to go crazy in college before 2014 I can easily rattle off a whole list of ones I've personally witness it's been happening since the beginning of basketball

    Tragic story. . And unnecessary. The kid undoubtedly had unlimited potential. Signing with a school with that much talent, there is always the possibility playing time is an issue. But, I feel that there is more to this situation. As you pointed out, it seems Cliff never gained the trust of the head coach. He had other options. This is where it is a valuable commodity to have people in your corner to monitor and advise you in these situations. Apparently this was a bad situation in all respects for the young man. Additionally, his confidence was likely eroding. What I’m saying is that if this is my guy, he should have transferred, point blank.

    Great video but there's 100s of guys with a similar story..they were top 100 in highschool but after highschool they didn't live up to expectations and bounced around the G League and different NBA rosters, had a cpl injuries that set them back but still had the resilience to push forward and still get paid of wut they love to do.
