Not only do they have to live in their father's shadow on a daily basis, but they were KIDS getting scorched by ESPN commentators on what was then one of the most watched channels, and are still having videos made about how they got beat on 14 years later.

In Michael Jordan’s hall of fame speech, he said “I wouldn’t want to be my kids playing basketball”. That says it all. Jordan played because of his nature. He had the right ingredients growing up among his brothers, and guidance from his father. His kids, loved a luxurious life and had a legacy to up to… but wasn’t necessary. They didn’t need to prove the Jordan name. Their father did it already.

Indeed, in an interview which is available on TH-cam MJ was asked did he want to coach or he had coached in past or he is planning for one? he replied that he doesn't want a kid to go through with the way he sees the game, MJ had his own reasons to be so competetive, easily offended and using it as a fuel to be better every time, the man was that kind of a player due to his circumstances, may be thats why he wouldn't have cared how good or bad his sons would turn out as a basketball players
