When grilling, I kindly suggest leaving some distance between items so that air flow isn't blocked. Otherwise embers may suffocate. A handheld fan makes huge difference. Great one Chris - thanks. I’ve got all that kit (although I think my kettle is slightly smaller?). But I’ve never actually used it in anger - only pottering with it in the garden. You’ve given me inspiration to dig it out Mate !!! You did really well to get that video done in such appalling conditions - the tarp setup did you proud. Appreciate all the hard work there Chris 😊👍

@@northernembersoutdoors1045 Thanks to your video Chris, I ordered a Kelly Kettle. It just arrived. Excellent piece of kit! A water boiler, cooker, rocket cooker all in one.
Yes, it's one method of cooking but I personally don't like that part because you have to use it with water and when it starts boiling it shakes, so thats why I just reheated up some food rather than cooking from scratch, much quicker, there's no need to cook like that as you can use the hobo accessory but you need to buy that as part of the kit, so cost's extra. Thanks
@@northernembersoutdoors1045 thanks that's really good perspective. It sounds like it's top role is heating water but that's the main reason I'm interested in it because there's many a time you just want a hot cuppa and it looks like this thing can cook it up cheap and quick. I presume it's a good accessory just for that.
@@neilgulati7918 Hi again. There are also different sizes so this is the base camp one and you can get a smaller one called the scout, so that could be better if it's primary role is just for boiling water. I dont have the other sizes but I think the accessories on this would fit them if they are universal. the hobo accessory is what I use the most.
