Two books that I like for this are "The Body Keeps the Score" by Kolk and "30 Days to Reduce Anxiety" by Harper Daniels a mindfulness guide. They've helped me learn some things to relax my mind and body. Also...decreasing caffeine a lot and taking cold showers has had a great benefit in helping me learn to cope with nervousness.
Is it common for the adrenals to feel flared and itching to occur as a traumatic memory comes up to be processed? As if the body is excreting it? Along with actually feeling the intense physical pain of a past injury that obviously may have not been processed?
So.. you're the mckeever of pod casting, @the weekend university. I watched one show and subbed. Im about any channel that is seeking light. Just know that you are a light being made in the image of our creator and placed into a temple of flesh. This realm is not a trap. We aren't even trapped in the flesh. We are powerful.. we are the ability to make a decision... to choose. Once we finally make a choice to seek Yeshua with our mind and heart, we create a connection. Once we finally begin to ask the correct questions, we begin to receive answers. Before that, we're just a cog in this learning game. A sincere question asked by the mind and heart like, 'show me the truth of things and how they work. Give me your knowledge and wisdom with the understanding to use it. ' , angels rejoice.
Oh, behavior can be changed. But the person with the behavior has to first actually realize that the behavior is wrong and why. Then that person has to actually want to change that behavior. Then they have to use their will, intention, and focus. These last 3 things are the keys to everything. A person who smokes first has to actually want to quit. Then they must engage the 3. They must also find their smoking triggers, including the desire of the flesh to have a cigarette. If you never work on overcoming the desires of the flesh, then you will be led around by your flesh temple always wondering why you do the things you do. The interesting part is you may not even like the things your flesh does, yet you continue...
A path well worth exploring. Thank you, Niall, for bringing Irene on.
I love how you say "apprenticeship" when referring to learning co-regulation as young humans 🥰

At 23 min mark, very important mention of spiritual bypass is actually fawning
