aaahhh, getting curious of old Nightwish ? "The Pharaoh sails to Orion" , 2001 live please , followed by "Beauty *OF* the Beast" Studio Version you will love it for sure
tarja have the phantom of the opera, i like a lot anette in storytime and floor in ghost love score, all singers in Nightwish have a great performance, but the heart of Nightwish is the drummer =)
Vc tem q ver a Tarja cantando Ever Dream, a segunda música do primeiro vídeo, pra ter total noção de como é inacreditável 😅😅😅😅 A Floor é muito talentosa mas, a única música das antigas q, não me faz ficar surpreso nem emocionado, é The Phantom of the Opera, pq nas outras ela manda muito bem...
Storytime is your first song from the 2nd lead singer ,Anette Olzon, era. Anette has more of a pop/rock style, but didn't do operatic vocals. That operatic part was done by a choir then. Floor can, so she took over those parts herself. Tuomas ( keyboards and primary songwriter) likes themes of stories and childhood innocence. Stroytime here, was song #6 in a 15 song set. Yes , original lead singer Tarja Turunen. Your pronunciation of Tarja is pretty good. She is the most operatic. She's awesome in this, and Marko kills it too. Andrew Lloyd Weber loved this version of Phantom as well. The performance is from the 2005 concert in Helsinki (End of an Era DVD). It was Tarja's last Nightwish show, although she didn't know it,. After the concert , the guys gave her the open letter dismissing her from the band after 9 years and 5 albums. She has gone on to a long and successful solo career. Henk Poort is a Dutch stage performer, he has played the Phantom many times. Floor and Henk first performed this together in on the Dutch TV show Beste Zangers. He agreed to that if he could join Nightwish to perform it in The Netherlands. They finally got to do it this past fall , after postponements due to Covid restrictions. Nightwish didn't think they would ever perform it again after the Tarja and Marko version you watched, until Floor made the promise. You don't need to pick, you can watch and enjoy both. lol
my favorite albums are those of anette olzon, in fact they are the best sellers, although many fans criticized her very unfairly, even though my favorite singer of all "nighwish" is "FLOOR", I can't stop loving "anette" , for their 2 wonderful albums, in which "floor" interpreted them in 2013 in a spectacular way
@@johanmelv0gue595 Well Anette had range limitations so basically she couldnt fit in Floor or Tarja, I also think the error was Tuomas' as he should have made a more suitable choice, Anette did nothing wrong, she did what she could basically and she still holds the title for best performance in Scarytale. I take this opportunity to also wish Anette the best in her nurse career, which she is now having. :D
I'm 74. People can talk about all the good singers from the past, no matter what genre of music, but Floor has floored me since I found her and Nightwish 3.5 years ago. I have checked everything about her from when she started at 16 years old thru now. No female artist I've seen and heard in my life, and I've seen tons and liked tons of them, brings the total package like Floor has done. No doubt in my mind.
Utopia, I know, but I hope the interwebs will one day bring her to receive worldwide recognition as one, if not THE one, GOAT singer of all time. Mark my words this could happen post-mortem. I'm glad she was born in our era, because this magic is clearly some kind of witchcraft. Once she has cast that spell on you, nothing even comes close.
I can agree with you. I’m also in my 70’s and like you only discovered Floor around the same time, due pandemic. Also heard plenty of female singers and agree she’s probably the best I’ve heard. 🤘🎸🎻🇦🇺
Look when she goes into the first chorus... She is smiling enjoying this fully!!! She is a godess on the stage, a valkyria, a storyteller, a complete artist, I just love her range, so magical!
Hi Jami, since you like Marko's singing, you could react to Nightwish version of "High hopes" , "Islander" at Tampere 2015 or perhaps "Kiss when your lips are still red" at Wembley. Second leading singer Anette Olzon in "Amaranth" is also worth checking out. "Wishmaster" (live) with Tarja Turunen. Which ever the NW song you choose is a good choise, you can't go wrong. By the way, you pronounced Tarja's name correctly. It wasso nice to see your enthusiastic reaction. See you with NW.
Amazing reaction to these incredible performances. Storytime is so uplifting and joyful. It literally brings tears of joy to my eyes. I love both Nightwish versions of Phantom of the Opera. The early one with Tarja and Marko is a truly epic moment in Nightwish history. The one with Floor was amazing too and was a surprise after Floor´s brothers in arms agreed to fulfil a promise Floor had made with Henk that he would be able to sing it at the Holland shows. It would have been such a treat to be there that night. Nightwish is the most amazing band I have ever had the pleasure to experience. Enjoy!!

Both versions are GREAT and different at the same time.
Three winners! Watching Floor & Henk perform their long-awaited Nightwish duet after only about a month since Floor's cancer surgery made that performance even more special.
They exist. They are (apparently) humans that live among us. The fact that most of them were born in the same part of the world, let alone the same town, is incredible. Once again proving that Finland is to music what Greece is to philosophy and engineering. Maybe someday we'll see Marko and Floor performing this song together 🙏 Congrats on 10k!
Hey Jami, great reaction, thanks for sharing, since you´re a Pop singer, would like to seeyou react to a band named Dirty Loops, the song Rock-You... it will blow your mind, please do :-D
Floor... Tarja... we can have a personal preference, but we cannot say that one is objectively better than the other. Two magnificent singers who bring Nightwish to life from different and fantastic angles. Thank you for this reaction!
As much as I love Floor Jansen I just can't unhear and get some of Tarja's Nightwish performances out of my head. For Phantom I really love the one with Tarja and Marko. Man I miss Marko..
yes Marko is a big missing aspect and i cant stand the weak voice of the pippes player. Hes very good with intruments but sining part is ok , but nothing more
I just can't listen to some of the older songs like Nemo or Over the hills without Tarja's voice but some songs Floor has really made her own like ghost love score
Greetings from Helsinki, Finland. I've been seen at live all Nightwish vocalists. My first Nightwish gig was 2001. Next time i see Nightwish to next june here in Finland. Nightwish is one of best live bands of the world.
All hale the REAL TRUE QUEEN 👑 of NIGHTWISH and of ALL FEMALE SYMPHONIC METAL SINGERS!!!!, the very beautiful looking and very unique voice of the enchanting TARJA!!!!!😀👍👍👍🤘
Hi Jamie. I just came across your channel recently, and I really enjoy your reactions. Especially to the ladies that do the harsh vocals. This has nothing to do with Nightwish but, I have another one for you. Checkout Ad Infinitum. I'm sure you will enjoy the lead singer of that band, Melissa Bonny.
Oh yeah, second dose ! And as you say, she just casually nails it live because, uh, why not ahah ! I guess you are now ready for "The Poet and The Pendulum" and "The Greatest Show On Earth". Quite long but definitely breathtaking.
@@German_1 Debatable. You don't need to know it to be amazed by the performance and knowing the story can even be detrimental by making you less surprised by the events (debatable, once again). Imo, the best is to cluelessly listen to it, learn more about the backstory, and listen to it again to fully enjoy and understand it. But in any case, the story shall be read sooner or later, no doubt!

🤩👌💥💯🎼 Beatifully done Jami... There's a couple of new tracks for you to cover by your own... ✌️😹 Yes indeed this magical band is tight AF on stage... Day after day, from month to another, year by year... Cheers from Finland 🥶 🤘😎 🇫🇮 💙
@Jami Nunes: Just think: Not only is Floor able to sing like that for 90 minutes, but she sang like this after learning the entire setlist in 48 hours. Literally, in 2 days, Floor went from Europe to Salt Lake City, Utah, US, joined the band mid-tour, learned the setlist in 2 days, and of all things, was afraid of her burn-out affecting her on-stage performances. Then, in Buenos Aires in 2012, she sang Ghost Love Score, and the South American fans welcomed her with open arms. If you get the chance, react to Ghost Love Score, Buenos Aires, 2012, and you'll see what I mean -- and you'll see how much passion Floor threw into her performance. In some ways, despite being a rougher performance, Buenos Aires 2012 is just as good as Wacken.
She didn’t learn the entire Setlist on 48 hours. Toumas had already made plans with her to take over the end of the tour for Annette months prior. The title of documentary is a bit misleading, but fans at the time had already heard of her taking over at the end of the tour.
@@nicholew350 : Actually, she did -- and says as much in the documentary. Literally, Tuomas called Floor at her sister's wedding, for which she refused (for obvious reasons). The very next week, on a Friday, she flew from the Netherlands to Salt Lake City, joined the band, and from Salt Lake City to San Francisco, California, over the two days she had on the bus, she learned the setlist. The fans actually didn't find anything out until the very end of the tour, and even then, it was unknown if Floor was going to stay or not, given some of the remarks Marko made at the last or second-to-last show of the tour. Despite Floor being unsure of her burnout less than 3 months prior to joining Nightwish, and how it would affect her singing, Floor still went ahead and completed the 2012/2013 tour. At the same point, the title of the documentary isn't misleading, when that actually happened. If you don't believe me, go watch the documentary yourself, because it's in there. Edit: And actually, Tuomas only made plans for Floor to take over once Annette got sick and couldn't perform. Why do you think the Denver Debaucle happened, where Elize Ryd of Amaranthe had to step in, along with Alyssa White-Gluz? Floor taking over for Annette wasn't planned by Tuomas, by any stretch. Now, it is true that Tuomas originally wanted Floor to become Nightwish's vocalist after the stuff with Tarja in 2005 -- but Floor refused, given her own stuff with After Forever or Revamp at the time (I'm not sure which band Floor was singing for in 2005). That's why Nightwish even hired Annette to be the lead singer to begin with. But as for what happened in 2012, none of that was planned. And it also didn't help that Annette was also pregnant at the time as well. It just so happened that Annette caught a fever so bad that she ended up having to go to the hospital in Salt Lake City, at which point Nightwish had to scramble to meet the obligations of their shows -- hence, the Denver Debaucle. Floor, I believe, was contacted by Tuomas while they were still in Salt Lake when she flew to the States, but I believe she ended up actually going to Denver to meet the band after that show. It was still a two-day bus ride from Denver to San Francisco -- which is when Floor learned the setlist from beginning to end, from a vocalist POV.
@@isaiahwelch8066 It was pre-planned for Floor to finish the end of the tour while Annette had her baby. It was supposed to be temporary. There are many interviews you can read about this, and some you can watch with Annette. Even an interview where Floor discusses it. It just so happened that Annette got sick and Floor ended up having to start earlier than expected. Yes, fans did know that Annette couldn’t finish the tour. Annette knew Floor was going to fill in for her. It was actually a big debacle between Annette and the band. She wanted them to cancel the tour instead of having Floor fill in for her. Annette auditioned to be in NW, just like everyone else. She won, and became the lead singer. I think 2,000 people auditioned.
@@nicholew350 : Not from what I remember watching. Tuomas basically said, after Tarja was fired, that his first choice to replace Tarja was Floor. But he never got around to formally actually asking Floor until 2012. As for Annette being replaced, what you're talking about is the first I've heard of this -- and I've seen a lot of the stuff from back then. At no point did I ever watch nor read anything about Annette being replaced by Floor being pre-planned, and that Annette getting sick accelerating those plans. Everything I've ever read and heard has the context and implication that it wasn't planned until it happened. And when it did happen, the band had to scramble to find a singer for the Denver show -- hence having Elize and Alyssa sing for their Denver show in 2012.
thank You so much for coming back to Nightwish, love Your reactions 😃 and as other requested, Ghost love score from Wacken 2013 ist a "must see" also "the last ride of the day" same concert is fantastic
Nightwish... is...just...so...good! 😊 Every NW singer has been good in their own way (Tarja, Marko, Anette, Floor). Each singer has brought something new to the band. And Tuomas' music above and below everything... Even when NW does a cover song, it's a masterpiece. Cover songs and Marko... Try what kind of tribute NW made to Pink Floyd with the song "High Hopes". If you just liked Marko's singing, then you'll get more of it with that song. The link can be found in Gabriel's list.
More nightwish please! Try "song of myself" or "romanticide" "yours is a empty hope" "gohst river" to many to list..make sure their live versions..wacken, wembly, Mexico city..also "the greatest show on earth" is mind blowing..love your genuine reactions to music that move you..
And I love Floor, but the one with Tarja and Marco…that is pure magic, and hands down, my personal favorite, and the one I think is the best version, ever done, if no one else has said it yet, Andrew Lloyd Webber has heard it. And said it’s his favorite version also, the man who wrote it, says Tarja and Marco is his favorite version.
There is a fan made version of phantom of the Opera with floor and Marco. It's a meld of two videos where the main audio is from the tarja video, but her part is taken out and replaced with floor audio from other video. You see floor when she is singing.
Being a fan of Nightwish for over 20 plus years my mantra is, “MY FAVORITE NIGHTWISH SONG IS ALWAYS THE LAST ONE IVE LISTENED TO!” It has kept me sane for all these years. So I’m suggesting you check out Sancta Terra live at Epica Retrospective show featuring Floor Jansen. This will blow you away ( it ‘s Floor singing) but it will also introduce you to Epica, & Simone Simons another fantastic singer and Floors dear friend. Your going down another rabbit hole because like Nightwish, Epica has no bad songs in this very old Metal rock head humble opinion! Sorry I can’t send you the link don’t know how to do that! Good luck on your journey, God Bless, Rock On Stay Safe!🙏🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Storytime. The look on your face a few times says it all, because I'm right there with you. This is far and away my favorite Nightwish song, and my favorite performance of it. I love other songs by them too - sometimes some of them more - but I always come back to this one. I love the chorus - it is so beautiful. I love the middle section, when she goes full classical. And then that ride to the end is unbelievable. Also, the looks on everyone's faces there. Everyone on stage, the crazy crowd engagement, the three girls at the end having the times of their lives. What an amazing performance. Floor's voice and range of styles in this one is amazing too. I'd suggest Nemo from Wacken 2013. It's such an underappreciated song, as it is one of their radio songs, but the second half of that song gets me sort of emotional for some reason. Check it out for sure on your time if not for a reaction. Thanks for doing this one! I'll edit the comment to reply about Phantom. Phantom. Tarja's version with Marko will forever be my favorite version of that song. It has the instrumental bite that I always felt the Broadway version wanted, but couldn't do, and Tarja and Marko's voices are just perfect - especially together. The look on your face - again - said it all. More Nightwish reactions please. I really enjoy your Nightwish reactions - and cover(s)!
Great video! i would love to see you react to Kuolema Tekee Taiteilijan (from the same concert as the Phantom of The Opera) also my favourite called Planet Hell (:
Hi! I saw your first Nightwish reaction video and i'm looking forward to seeing a new one from you. I would say enjoy both versions. So i did. 😉 I like both singers, but i listen to Nightwish since '97, so i know all 3 singers very well. For the next song maybe look the show opener from this Wacken '13 show, the song "Dark chest of wonders"! I like your Nightwish reactions! Nice greetings to you from Vienna!
if you really want hard dark spell-binding Tarja (and Marko too) with Nightwish: (even some rocking on invisible guitar, head windmills, and etc theatrics too) (remember, the concerts/albums/covers must be before 2006, for Tarja's performances) (not ranked, just listed) 1. Slaying the Dreamer 2. Planet Hell 3. Wishmaster 4. Kinslayer 5. Ghost Love Score 6. The Siren 7. End of All Hope 8. Dead to the World 9. 10th Man Down --------------------------------- Nightwish's 3 singers: 1. Tarja (original singer): 1995 to 2005 2. Annette: 2006 to 2012 3. Floor (current singer): 2013 to 2020+ everyone knows Floor, she's super popular with everyone, especially right now, and is a really good singer, having a huge variety of singing capability (pop, classical/opera, belting, growling/raspy), able to sing nightwish's old songs that were for Tarja's classical/opera singing, as well as new songs for her own variety/range of singing abilities Unfortunately for Annette, she's a pop/rock singer, and a very good singer too, but her pop/rock singing just didn't go that well with nightwish's music, which was made for Tarja's dark classical/opera singing. So, usually, she gets left out. so, it comes down to "Targasm” (Tarja) vs “Floorgasm” (Floor) in terms of the Nightwish singers in who you like most, if you like classical/opera singing better, Tarja is better at it, but that's all she does back when with nightwish, as nightwish was created for tarja's unique dark operatic singing/voice, (now with her own band, or solo, she does a greater range of singing), but she does it really well, she's really got a beautiful voice, if you like more pop singing, belting and growling/raspy, with or without classical/opera singing, than you like Floor better I knew nightwish from the early 2000s, so Nightwish will always be with Tarja, but Nightwish with Floor is really good too, but it's Tarja, who's my favorite singer with nightwish (many others will help you out with Floor's songs, so I'll just stick to Tarja's songs here) ---------- if you do like Tarja with nightwish, here's some good ones: (just make sure the song performances are before 2006, else it's not tarja who is singing) (NOT ranked, just listed) 1. End of an Era (her last concert with nightwish, hard to find good quality and the entire concert, as it gets taken down) 2. Phantom of the Opera (her duet with Marco, really good, both of them together, this song was actually used in the Phantom of the Opera remake movie in 2004) 3. Wishmaster 4. Planet Hell (marco sings in this song as well) 5. End of All Hope 6. Dead Boy's Poem 7. Nemo (watch the official music video and also her live performance of it) 8. Kinslayer 9. she is my sin 10. wish I had an angel 11. slaying the dreamer 12. the siren 13. dead to the world 14. 10th man down 15. walking in the air 16. ghost love score 17. dark chest of wonders 18. bless the child and many more too ------ this is about the 'phantom of the opera' with tarja nightwish, but it applies to tarja for all other NW songs too: Tarja has her own stage performance/presence, but the focus is on the entire band (much more respectful), unlike with floor, where the focus is almost entirely on her, and also, Phantom of the Opera isn't about that much showmanship, so you're not seeing more of Tarja's performance/presence (love how the camera work and Tarja worked together, with her ducking down, seeing Marcus as he delivered his singing, and then Tarja stands back up, seeing her face back in the camera as Marco's part ends and hers begins again, Tarja is really such a team player, as she could have had all the focus upon herself, like Floor gets, but instead she chooses to give the entire band the respect and focus that they too deserve, it's not all about Tarja, like it is with Floor, despite how good Tarja is and thus how she could be the entire focus with nightwish, as is Floor with nightwish) there's other songs, where Tarja was way way way more stage performance/presence/showmanship, including hair windmills, rocking an invisible guitar along with empuu rocking his guitar, along with her doing her squatting too as she sings and taps her foot/leg to it, as she's swinging those hips too, along with her getting the crowd involved as well too, and etc stuff, you got to watch way more songs, to really see her amazing stage presence/performance and showmanship, as Phantom of the Opera is likely the one song with the least of that stuff, due to the nature of the song itself, being about their singing (contrasting and then cacophonous harmonous duet, nothing can compete with Tarja and Marco voices duet'ing), though Marco and Tarja had a bit of showmanship and fun snuck into it, with Marco pointing to his face and Tarja's facial expression reactions, while both song their parts
Happy Birthday Floor. 🌹♥️I prefer a little bit more the Floor/Henk Version. But, i am not objektiv, i am a full Floorian. Hihi 🤗.Great reaction. Greetings from nothern und 3🤘
Dive into Floor's solo stuff from the last 3+ years and be overwhelmed again. I like this Phantom version only because of Marko, anybody could of sung the female part and this would of been great. Nightwish with Floor version is great, but I'll take Floor and Henk's version on Beste Zangers as my first choice.
Marko is an absolute treasure in Finland! He is a godfather of metal who helped make Finland the most metal country in the world by far with his own band Tarot back in the day where he sang lead (measured by metal bands percapita). He is featured, usually first or last, on basically every video celebrating Finnish metal eg. Tuska Anniversary Medley or the Hevisaurus (children's metal band) song 100. While he unfortunately left Nightwish due to personal health reasons recently he still participated in Raskasta Joulua (*Heavy Christmas* a Finnish musical collective who make Christmas metal travel tour the country in December yearly), did performances with the incredible Northern Kings (4 metal legendary singers singing doing covers together)! Look up any performance with him and you'll be amazed at his beautiful, versatile vocal talent! A wonderful start is Ave Maria at Raskasta joulua with Floor Janson, all the recordings are very good
I love this band!! Phantom is how I first of them decades ago. Rediscovered last summer with Floor. I need a dose of NW every day!! Story Time is one I need daily. Song of Myself is my top favorite.
Big Nightwish fan here... When you are ready to check out some of their more epic performances check out The Poet and the Pendulum (live from Webley 2016) and also The Greatest Show On Earth (TAMPERE, 2015). I am also a huge fan of Romantacide (official live video) and Song of myself (Wacken 2013). They to me are one of the best live bands of all time! Enjoy the Journey...
Nice reaction from a voice lover, by the the way i like your cover of everdream especially the way you belt, crystal clear and it's not an easy song....I prefer the second version, cause i m so crazy about floor's voice....My god this last note from floor
I think all three of the female vocalists are fine singers and I like them all. Tarje Turunen is definitely the more operatic, classical voice. Anette has more of a pop/rock style. For me, Floor has something extra special both in her vocals and her stage presence that really appeal to me. She has skill, power, range, and a timbre that really gets me in the feels.
Ayreon had a song called The Day the World Breaks Down video with a mind blowing collection of great singers, and I think u would love Ayreon's Valley of the Queens as well. For Marco others have listed a lot but I would strongly suggest his singing with Delain on The Gathering live as well...
Everyone always argue between Tarja and Floor and which one's better, but let's be real: Marko was Nightwish's best singer. He's fantastic, unique, and makes everything better. Personally, I absolutely love his solo work with Tarot, his covers with The Northern Kings, and I adore him with Charlotte in Delain.
🤘❤🤘 Very cool & honest reaction. I've been a Nightwish fan since 1998 and absolutely love Floor. But I like Tarja & Marko's version better. Their vocals were so much more powerful and impactful than Floor & Henk's.
Hello I have some info on Floor Jansen for you here. She is married to Hannes Van Dahl, drummer of the Swedish power metal band Sabaton. Together they have a daughter. ( Freja ) Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 4 octaves (Eb2 to F6). Re-singing style ranges from opera to screams and grunts. She usually sings in English, in addition she has also sung songs in Dutch, German, Spanish, Finnish, Latin, Italian and Swedish. Jansen was the singer of the Dutch metal band After Forever from 1997 to early 2009. From 1999 she studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg with classmates Jacqueline Govaert and Danny Vera, where she graduated in 2003. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she gave singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ReVamp, which was disbanded in September 2016. From 1 October 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon as singer of Nightwish during the Imaginaerum World Tour. On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she would be the group's regular new front singer. In 2015, Nightwish released the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful with Jansen as lead singer. Nightwish's second studio album with Jansen as front singer, Human. :II: Nature., was released in April 2020. Greetings from the Netherlands.
I think Hannes needs to tell Tuomas not to slap Floors bottom as in this vid in Budapest this year. At least they need to keep that in private.. th-cam.com/video/Mqa27iUG7HI/w-d-xo.html
I love all teh rhyming in the chorus - it all fits together really nicely. "I am the voice of Never, Never Land The innocence, the dreams of every man I am the empty crib of Peter Pan A silent kite against the blue, blue sky Every chimney, every moonlit sight" It's really very catchy and has a cool theme where the writer is bringing various fables and tales to life. ^_^
You appeared to think "Floor did not just do that!" many times but she did! LIVE! 15 songs at that gig at Wacken. Yes, Tar-ya and Marko! Marko rocks! A beastly Phantom! Henk was a hero of Floor's - so she really loved this performance. He was the Dutch Phantom for years.
I love watching singers watching Floor. Especially the face when Floor does the power notes that seem to be incidental, but only a singer realizes just HOW bloody awesome and difficult what she is doing is.
Hello lovely Jami, greetings from UK 😊 I LOVED your rendition of Ever Dream and I am looking forward to your cover of Storytime (including wind milling your hair!) 😁 The link below is my favourite Floor and Henk version of The Phantom Of The Opera. It was the first time they performed it, and it was in a much more intimate setting for a Dutch TV program called 'Beste Zangers' (best singers). th-cam.com/video/plCScjvDOJM/w-d-xo.html
Eu conhecendo o canal agora, do nada c mete uma bronca do passarin e eu percebi que vc é BR. Kkkkk Muito boa a reação. Nightewish é mesmo um tesouro musical. A música The Greatest Show on Earth é absurda em vários níveis. É de uma elegância musical que me deixa de cabelo em pé.
Floor and Henk did great version, but for me there is no even comparison. Everything about the old version is better IMO. Marko's metal vocals are incredible, and Tarja has more projection on her opera voice, plus the whole sound of the band was better. Can't wait to see more NW reactions from you.
aaahhh, getting curious of old Nightwish ?

Tarja and Floor are two uniquely different performers. I adore them both equally. Marko compliments both so well .

They're so unique I think they should have just started a new band. New nightwish is great, but tarja just defined nightwish for me so idk.

I take this opportunity to also wish Anette the best in her nurse career, which she is now having. :D

Finally you & 🦜are here 🥰
Floor is totally on another level, a league on her own.
i concur
You are 74 and found Floor and Nightwish 3 years ago. I’m 69 and found them just over one year. How, how HOW were we Floorless for so long?!?
Oh yes please, do High Hopes from Nightwish. You‘ll not regret 🔥
Marko singing High Hopes is NW at their best.
One of the best reactions I've seen yet to one of the best performances I've ever seen. Enjoyed this!
Marko is the best phantom I've ever heard
EASILY.
My favorite Nightwish was with Tarja! But they still have a special place in my heart and Floor is amazing!
So good.
Continue nessa jornada, Nightwish é apaixonante, já os vi no Brasil 3 vezes, uma com a Tarja e duas com a Floor, e ao vivo eles são ainda melhores.
Tarja Turunen is and was Nightwish and love that they're from my home country of Finland!!! ❤❤❤
Finally someone that can prononce Tarja correct, usally they say Tacha or something that weird.
Great reaction
As much as I love Floor Jansen I just can't unhear and get some of Tarja's Nightwish performances out of my head. For Phantom I really love the one with Tarja and Marko. Man I miss Marko..
💯 same
yes Marko is a big missing aspect and i cant stand the weak voice of the pippes player. Hes very good with intruments but sining part is ok , but nothing more
I just can't listen to some of the older songs like Nemo or Over the hills without Tarja's voice but some songs Floor has really made her own like ghost love score

for me, definetly Tarja version for phantom. both great fo course...but Tarja is something special
For the most part I feel that Floor holds her own, but there's something special about Tarja's phantom
Aeee! Finalmente uma brasileira fazendo react!! Hahaha Adorei!!!! Nightwish é um caminho sem volta!🥰

Don't do poet without looking up a backstory.
Absolutely love your genuine reactions as you discover more Nightwish. Keep up the great work.

@@isaiahwelch8066 Toumas never asked Floor to join NW after they fired Tarja. He has said as much.
And when it did happen, the band had to scramble to find a singer for the Denver show -- hence having Elize and Alyssa sing for their Denver show in 2012.
i been there 2005!
thank You so much for coming back to Nightwish, love Your reactions 😃 and as other requested, Ghost love score from Wacken 2013 ist a "must see" also "the last ride of the day" same concert is fantastic

Nightwish... is...just...so...good! 😊
Every NW singer has been good in their own way (Tarja, Marko, Anette, Floor).
You forgot Troy in that list, he's been doing just fine when it comes to singing, too 😊

Quite precisely said.
yeah i much prefer marco - his voice was amazing cant believe he left :(
Tarja and Marko hands down! 👌
@@tobbex7372 Wrong answer. Thanks for playing.
I completely agree. The one with Tarja has so much more energy. I would love to see Floor and Marko do this one.

So i did. 😉 I like both singers, but i listen to Nightwish since '97, so i know all 3 singers very well. if you really want hard dark spell-binding Tarja (and Marko too) with Nightwish:
(even some rocking on invisible guitar, head windmills, and etc theatrics too)
(remember, the concerts/albums/covers must be before 2006, for Tarja's performances)
(not ranked, just listed)
1. Slaying the Dreamer
2. Planet Hell
3. Wishmaster
4. Kinslayer
5. Ghost Love Score
6. The Siren
7. End of All Hope
8. Dead to the World
9. 10th Man Down
---------------------------------
Nightwish's 3 singers:
1. Tarja (original singer): 1995 to 2005
2. Annette: 2006 to 2012
3. Floor (current singer): 2013 to 2020+
everyone knows Floor, she's super popular with everyone, especially right now, and is a really good singer, having a huge variety of singing capability (pop, classical/opera, belting, growling/raspy), able to sing nightwish's old songs that were for Tarja's classical/opera singing, as well as new songs for her own variety/range of singing abilities
Unfortunately for Annette, she's a pop/rock singer, and a very good singer too, but her pop/rock singing just didn't go that well with nightwish's music, which was made for Tarja's dark classical/opera singing. So, usually, she gets left out.
so, it comes down to "Targasm” (Tarja) vs “Floorgasm” (Floor) in terms of the Nightwish singers in who you like most, if you like classical/opera singing better, Tarja is better at it, but that's all she does back when with nightwish, as nightwish was created for tarja's unique dark operatic singing/voice, (now with her own band, or solo, she does a greater range of singing), but she does it really well, she's really got a beautiful voice, if you like more pop singing, belting and growling/raspy, with or without classical/opera singing, than you like Floor better
I knew nightwish from the early 2000s, so Nightwish will always be with Tarja, but Nightwish with Floor is really good too, but it's Tarja, who's my favorite singer with nightwish
(many others will help you out with Floor's songs, so I'll just stick to Tarja's songs here)
----------
if you do like Tarja with nightwish, here's some good ones:
(just make sure the song performances are before 2006, else it's not tarja who is singing)
(NOT ranked, just listed)
1. End of an Era (her last concert with nightwish, hard to find good quality and the entire concert, as it gets taken down)
2. Phantom of the Opera (her duet with Marco, really good, both of them together, this song was actually used in the Phantom of the Opera remake movie in 2004)
3. Wishmaster
4. Planet Hell (marco sings in this song as well)
5. End of All Hope
6. Dead Boy's Poem
7. Nemo (watch the official music video and also her live performance of it)
8. Kinslayer
9. she is my sin
10. wish I had an angel
11. slaying the dreamer
12. the siren
13. dead to the world
14. 10th man down
15. walking in the air
16. ghost love score
17. dark chest of wonders
18. bless the child
and many more too

this is about the 'phantom of the opera' with tarja nightwish, but it applies to tarja for all other NW songs too:
Tarja has her own stage performance/presence, but the focus is on the entire band (much more respectful), unlike with floor, where the focus is almost entirely on her, and also, Phantom of the Opera isn't about that much showmanship, so you're not seeing more of Tarja's performance/presence (love how the camera work and Tarja worked together, with her ducking down, seeing Marcus as he delivered his singing, and then Tarja stands back up, seeing her face back in the camera as Marco's part ends and hers begins again, Tarja is really such a team player, as she could have had all the focus upon herself, like Floor gets, but instead she chooses to give the entire band the respect and focus that they too deserve, it's not all about Tarja, like it is with Floor, despite how good Tarja is and thus how she could be the entire focus with nightwish, as is Floor with nightwish)
there's other songs, where Tarja was way way way more stage performance/presence/showmanship, including hair windmills, rocking an invisible guitar along with empuu rocking his guitar, along with her doing her squatting too as she sings and taps her foot/leg to it, as she's swinging those hips too, along with her getting the crowd involved as well too, and etc stuff, you got to watch way more songs, to really see her amazing stage presence/performance and showmanship, as Phantom of the Opera is likely the one song with the least of that stuff, due to the nature of the song itself, being about their singing (contrasting and then cacophonous harmonous duet, nothing can compete with Tarja and Marco voices duet'ing), though Marco and Tarja had a bit of showmanship and fun snuck into it, with Marco pointing to his face and Tarja's facial expression reactions, while both song their parts
You forgot Sleeping Sun, which is the best song Nightwish ever recorded.
A wonderful start is Ave Maria at Raskasta joulua with Floor Janson, all the recordings are very good
Hi there great reaction
Imho the best version is with Floor and Henk in Beste Zangers

Big Nightwish fan here... When you are ready to check out some of their more epic performances check out The Poet and the Pendulum (live from Webley 2016) and also The Greatest Show On Earth (TAMPERE, 2015).
Floor was more operatic in her first band After Forever.
And here she is doing O mio babbino caro.
th-cam.com/video/UeTyAZtV5wI/w-d-xo.html
I sometimes feel bad for Anette.
She's a fine singer, but being put between Tarja and Floor is just a really high bar to meet.
yes, floor can do everthing the other 2 did, but worse. Floor lacks power, passion, idk. its like a good cover of what nightwish really was...

Hello
I have some info on Floor Jansen for you here.
She is married to Hannes Van Dahl, drummer of the Swedish power metal band Sabaton. Together they have a daughter. ( Freja )
Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 4 octaves (Eb2 to F6).

I love all teh rhyming in the chorus - it all fits together really nicely.
"I am the voice of Never, Never Land
The innocence, the dreams of every man
I am the empty crib of Peter Pan
A silent kite against the blue, blue sky
Every chimney, every moonlit sight"
It's really very catchy and has a cool theme where the writer is bringing various fables and tales to life.
Especially the face when Floor does the power notes that seem to be incidental, but only a singer realizes just HOW bloody awesome and difficult what she is doing is.
you're just so lovely :) keep up!

I LOVED your rendition of Ever Dream and I am looking forward to your cover of Storytime (including wind milling your hair!) 😁
The link below is my favourite Floor and Henk version of The Phantom Of The Opera. It was the first time they performed it, and it was in a much more intimate setting for a Dutch TV program called 'Beste Zangers' (best singers).

Eu conhecendo o canal agora, do nada c mete uma bronca do passarin e eu percebi que vc é BR. Kkkkk Muito boa a reação. Nightewish é mesmo um tesouro musical. A música The Greatest Show on Earth é absurda em vários níveis. É de uma elegância musical que me deixa de cabelo em pé.
TARJA and FLOOR are both amazing singers and good friends ......i prefer Floor because of her versatility and presence.
Floor and Henk did great version, but for me there is no even comparison. Everything about the old version is better IMO. Marko's metal vocals are incredible, and Tarja has more projection on her opera voice, plus the whole sound of the band was better. Can't wait to see more NW reactions from you.
Agreed. I love Floor, and her version with Henk is good, but I love the energy of the Tarja/Marko version.
Eso es el fantasma de la ópera ❤
thanx for the reaction.
4:09 Little birdy couldn't believe it either
Henk Poort actually played the Phantom on stage in the Netherlands.
