Back in 1977 I bought a 1967 Scout 800 with 45,000 miles on it !!! If I recall it had a 192ci 4 cylinder,3 speed on the floor with 2 other gear shifters for low range and front axe engagement. It was in excellent condition, but since I had a daily one way 60 mile commute to college, and the fact that it was screaming a mere 50 mph,I sold it and bought a new 1978 K5 Blazer!!!! Still wish I still had them both!!!

Great Barn find . I have my Dads 63’ Scout 80 . He bought it from the Missouri Conservation Department auction in early 70’s . I’m wanting to get it back on the road and use on our farm . We shared a lot of Hunting trips in it . Keep up the awesome work on repairing these ole International Harvesters .

Still collecting parts for my drivability conversion on my 1963 Scout 80 that was parked under a ponderosa pine since 1987. 1.9l alh tdi, ax-15/np231, d44 front and rear. I can’t wait to get 30mpg and keep it looking rough like this one.

I love my 70 Scout 800A! As a matter of fact, I named one of my dogs Scout because as a pup he loved riding in it! I even collect the old C. A. Clark Water Scout fishing lures. Do you think I have a thing about Scouts? Lol!

Getting ready to go buy my first scout, it’s an 80, would love to talk to you guys about it first. It’s in great condition compared to this one;)
Really appreciate all your videos but especially this one.

I think the can said brake parts cleaner. I have found that brake cleaner does not work well for this. Choke cleaner and ether work very well.
