Love this block! Picture blocks are my favorite - and this is such a perfect one for a little (or bigger) boy's quilt! Love the music - and how it shows that you can whistle your way through these blocks in no time at all!! :)
MSQC....I noticed something about the video at counter 49-50....the lines to sew it together aren't there....it isn't important to me....but it might be to someone who is new to your Quilt Snips Videos ! BTW....love this one....I need a baby boy quilt this next month and this is perfect !
So I have a charm pack that would look awesome as small sail boats. What do you think the size would be of the rectangles on the sides of the sails if I used the charm pack as the starting fabric? Thanks!
Tammy Todd at the beginning they show how to cut a 10" square to get the proper pieces needed. It equates to 2 x 5"X5" and 1 x 5"X10". Piece 2 of your 5" squares to get the boat portion. Your finished block will be slightly smaller but it should work.
I love this one! Everything to do with water will automatically make my favorites list.

this would make a cute baby quilt for a baby boy!
Very simple block, and I can see using some nautical, water and even sky fabric to create this block and quilt.
Great idea!! I would love to see that done!

How do you get the 4"x 5 7/8" strips for the side pieces?
I think the sails and the blue back round look reversed in this pattern.
