Another AMAZING JOB to make that incredibly difficult block simple! I'be always just skipped over this block because of all the intricacies but no more! THANK you Jenny for making quilting available to all of us!
Oh! JENNY! I have always admired Snail trails or cat tails quilts! I thought they must be impossiblely difficult, because they look so curvy! YOU just demonstrated and explainef the process so well, and made it seem doable, even for those of us, who are not so accomplished! I just want to HUG YOU!! 🤗You have given me such confidence and knowledge! 🎉😊 Thank you for sharing this with us. Huggles Always 💖🍀🙏🤟🦓Liz
I'm from the uk, and the very first thing I think of, on a Friday morning, is, quick get the iPad, Jenny will have another quilt tutorial. So thank you so much jenny
The thing that never ceases to amaze me about you,Jenn, is how achievable these difficult quilt blocks look with your tutorials. That is a true gift that few possess. Thanks for this. Because of you, I have learned more about the art of quilting than I ever thought possible. Keep em coming, my on line friend!
I love this block and I love meeting Jenny in Hamilton Missouri June 14 at the Main Store. Thanks for the Meet & Greet with the ladies from Chicago Needles and Threads Quilters Guild. We bought lots of fabric, and it's a great place to go, loved the fabric stores and everyone was very nice.
Keep making your videos Mrs. Jenny. I have learn allot from you. I love each and every video from you. I am 54 years old and had allot of deaths in the family this past year (a total of 5 all together. one was my husband & the other one that was really close to me was my dad) & every time I watch any of your videos, I do not know why but they make me smile. Its as if you are part of my family, even tho i we have never met.. haha.. I hope you have a bless day!!! & Thanks again for these wonderful videos.
I'm so sorry for your losses, Osmon. Quilting is a wonderful outlet and great way to cope during difficult times. We certainly consider you as part of the Missouri Star family as well and are glad you enjoy the tutorials.
Jenny....I went back to your very first video....and it's amazing how well you have done in the past few years, teaching US all how to quilt ! I have learned so much from you.....you are the best quilter out there. Due to my chronic illness, I get up in the middle of the night and watch many of your videos and it's just amazing how much you have taught me over the years.Again, Thanks so much.....you and your family has done a great deal for all of us who love to sew.(((( HUGS))))
I'm so glad you are able to enjoy the tutorials and especially that they are there for you in the middle of the night when needed. We love hearing how they have helped others, it puts a smile on our face. :)
Jenny lovely quilt. I have just decided I could make it with other colours like different shades and patterns in pink and another in lilac and so on. I need to experiment. Thank you Missouri Star Staff too. Greetings from London
Awesome!!! Thank you!! I love the swirl ! I have been in a quilters block..ha ha this has inspired me to get back on the quilters trail an snail trail... thank you Jenny for inspiration.
I haven't been getting your daily emails very long, but I look forward to them every day. I LOVE your little introduction stories. It is like getting a real letter, every day. This is fantastic to see this tutorials. I'm going to try this!
I love this pattern! It's funny because I was just looking at this quilt online the other day, wondering if I could use a precut for it. I studied that quilt for a minute but couldn't see how to do that. I think Jenny read my mind and made this tutorial just for me! Thank you Jenny!
Jenny, I love this! The movement and colors are perfect. Plus, I just love you! You are delightful and you have saved my life during a long and on-going illness. You're the best! :-)
I watched a snail trail video from another site that used a specialty ruler. Ugh! Not another ruler!!! Jenny to the rescue... You make it easy and your explanations are understandable. No block 1A block 1B ect. very confusing. Thank you thank you.
Gorgeous! I love this design and am such a fan of blue and white or blue and cream, so it's double fantastic for me!!! Would absolutely LOVE to see Jenny do a Card Trick block in an easier way. There has to be one and if not, I know she could figure it out. : ) xoxoxo - thank you for all you do to inspire us and give new ideas all the time.
Beautiful! My 7 year old daughter adores snails and she loves the idea of quilts made just for her. I'll have to try this someday but first, I need to finish the little tester lap quilt (this is my first quilt) and then her big sister gets her Irish Chain Nutcracker/Winter themed quilt. Lots of ideas on what to do someday.
I bought the Coastal Bliss Kit on your website and it includes this block. I am so glad you made an easy to follow tutorial! I can't wait to get it and get started. I am going to have to find some 10 inch scraps and give this block a try. looks so fun.
It's so good to see a reply to my comment!!!! I need to add something because i have been dying to suggest this... I have what's called "the cutting gizmo"... what a life saver for chain piecing and getting rid of thread tails... before this i just left them...LOL... I drove my friends crazy... but grabbing the snips was just too much wasted time for me... I would love to see Jenny give it a try... it sits right there next to the machine... even bought another one to bring to quilt group....! Jenny validates my sewing style with every move... she is my IDOL:)))) GB
What a great little gadget! I will be sure to pass that information along to Jenny! Thank you so much for your kind words and being such a loyal follower!
fat quarter shop and you came out with the same block on the same day watched both video and you do it so much better I understand you love this and the color you use cant wait to do mine
Getting ready to cut up my Artisan Batiks - Greenhouse with Bella Solid White for this project. Will make 100 blocks to make it square for a King Size bed with 2 borders. Thanks for the cutting plan! Wish we could post pics on here of our finished projects :)
This just happens to be my favorite block! And I am SO glad you made this tutorial! Jenny you are the best on UTube. Thank you so for all your help and inspiration. You're a doll!
My grandson wants a Snail Trail quilt and I was hoping you would simplify it for me!! I love your video's!! I'm in Illinois up by Chicago. I'm doing a road trip soon to Missouri!!!
So I have a daughter who is GONZO for cats. I'm trying to put together a quilt using the snail trail block as the tail of the cats. To do this i had to modify the measurements from the pins and paws pattern to be the same size as the snail trail block. I watched the video about a dozen times and at one point Jenny ( I LOVE YOU) says this makes a 9 inch block. When I trimmed each round to the 1/4 inch beyond the point, I got a block that was 6 1/4 inches. When I trimmed just enough to get the wonkyness off, keeping consistent from the center 1 3/4 (round 1), 2 1/2 (round 2), and 3 3/4 (round 3) , I got a 7 1/2"block. Wish me luck! I'm math-impaired, so I am mustering up my courage to tackle this!!! Gonna use the larger measurements even if my points aren't perfectly at the seam.
I have tried and tried but so where I go wrong, I’m going to put it away and come back at a later time and have another go, love your tutorials I’ve made many blocks with your help
Than you Jenny I’ve enjoying your tutorial I’m for sure when I make snai trial I wii be very enjoy Also I will make for my best friend for should quilt When she’s watching TV use this quilt for her shoulder blanket
Beautiful! Another one to add to the quilting bucket list. I watch these videos and try to focus on the block behind Jenny to figure it out. Almost feel cross-eyed sometimes. 🙄😁
This is SO helpful!! I actually have a box on my closet shelf with the beginnings of a quilt in this pattern. My grandma (I'm pretty sure she called the pattern Indiana Puzzle, btw :) ) helped me pick it out and shop for fabric 30+ years ago, and I made exactly one block! I have yards of fabric and her old templates sitting there waiting, but it has just looked really big to me. This cutting technique makes it all so much more attractive! :) Thanks!
I'm smiling
" that my friends is your waste " comment and tossing it. ..Jenny you're fantastic and fun
there is just something about a blue and white quilt that is magical - beautiful!
I have to agree! I love the combo!
Another AMAZING JOB to make that incredibly difficult block simple!

Thank you Jenny! This Quilt o will make! Happy New Year! 2020🌃
I love the fabric used with this. I feel like I'm looking at ocean waves... gorgeous!
When I read this I wondered how it would work in batics for waves?? I live on the ocean duo the first thing I saw was waves too.
Katelynd Uzumaki this is what i saw too. And since my bedroom is all beachy this is the perfect pattern.
I saw waves and starfish! So I ordered the supplies to make it, as I have a beach themed bedroom! I can't wait to get started!
