    I love this! Thank you so much for sharing! I absolutely love the peace of mind that comes with homeschooling. I too love this curriculum and how you don’t have to worry about what your child is learning or reading. Hoy en día tenemos que estar muy pendiente con lo que nuestros hijos están aprendiendo. You can never be too careful. Also, I give you and Sean so much credit for homeschooling while both working. God bless you both for that love and dedication! I can’t wait to see how you organize all the material! You have such wonderful ideas! I look forward to all your videos! God bless you ❤️

    Thank you for sharing. We love abeka. We don’t do accredited & love the freedom of just going at our own pace.

      I’m so glad to hear that! 🤗 That’s why we decided not to go with the accredited for the upcoming year. We wanted to have a bit more flexibility too. What grade/grades have you used?

      I have 3 boys K,3rd & 6grade. I have tried many curriculums with my 6 grader but found that Abeka fits us best. We live in Hawaii & homeschool year round.
      Thank you for always being so joyful & shining your light. The way you cling to the Lord through your trials & raising godly kids is so inspiring.

      @@liezelgeldenhuys1984That’s awesome! Do you also use Abeka for your other 2 boys? My kids bother really enjoy it too! Usually my son used to be so anxious around this time because he was so worried about moving up to a new grade, but this year he’s so relaxed and was so relaxed when he saw his 5th grade books arrived 🙂Hawaii sounds so nice, I’ve always wanted to go there lol! 🤗 thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words! All I can do is keep my sight fixed on God and know that my strengths come for the Lord, so I praise him for helping me make it through every day 🙌

      @@liezelgeldenhuys1984 My daughter was very much like that to w k4. She just did t have the attention span so we did a lot of adjusting to what worked for her. We started her w just 1 class and gradually added another class one at a time until she was finally able to do full days.
      That would be so awesome!!!🤗 I’ll definitely let you know if we ever have the opportunity to head over there🥰Amen and May God bless you too!!

      Hi there 😃 How exciting! How long have you guys been homeschooling for and what grades are you doing? 🤗

  • @boogsassy1
    @boogsassy1 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes, I love abeka. We are going to do 7th grade with them. I'm going to add a little extra but not much because I hear they kick this up a few notches in 7th. We may do a little extra science and a elective. If we're not swamped. 😂 Enjoy your new books🎉

      We have used them for 2 1/2 years now. 4th, 5th, and half of 6st. We tried dodea school here overseas in Germany (basically public school) for the first half of the year, she didn't like it. We returned to Abeka, and we plan to do it for 7th grade. We move back to the States this summer. She wants to graduate with them in Pensacola, FL, but we have a long way to go. I did find her grades in public school were outstanding from us doing abeka, so abeka does an excellent job academically.

      @@boogsassy1 That’s amazing! I’m so happy to hear that!!! Where would you guys be coming back to? My son has told me
      Several times this year “mom I wished we would have done this since the beginning” specially when he sees my daughter doing her classes in k4, I totally agree. I feel like he has learned so much and has come so far!!! Thanks so much for sharing and watching 🤗 I really appreciate hearing from other moms 🙂

      @Joyful Yessi We have a home waiting for us in Illinois. I'm originally from Mississippi, and my husband is from Texas. We are retired military and this is our second time overseas for work with his job. So we will be glad to get back stateside. It's been a long road. 😅 As far as Abeka, yes, absolutely they learn a lot, a very solid program for sure. Enjoy all the videos, keep them up 🎉

    Do you have good examples for writing book reports? It's one doing for me but to. Explain it to a kid is different..we are doing 5th grade this year...

    • @JoyfulYessi
      @JoyfulYessi  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi! Book reports can be tricky especially when it comes down to getting the kids to summarize the story and writing about the important events. That’s something that is very challenging for my son and my students in the past. I’m sharing a video with you from Khan academy that can help explain to your child the summarizing portion of the book report: th-cam.com/video/SmnR4AZ-XM8/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
      Also, I don’t know if you are doing accredited or not, but if you are not doing accredited, there are different forms of book reports that you can have your child do that are a little more ‘fun”. I’ve done some of these in the past when I was a classroom teacher and kids really enjoyed them. I was planning on having my son do a Sandwich or pizza box book report this year. I’m sharing another link here that has some example of them www.weareteachers.com/creative-book-report-ideas/
      I hope that this is helpful 🤗

    Are there other subjects like foreign Language your 5th grader will be doing?

      I’m going to be working on Spanish this summer with both of the kids. My daughter is in Kinder and he will be in 5th. It’s designed for the younger one but I feel like my kiddos really need to learn Spanish to communicate w their grandparents 🤣 so we are going to give it a try! I did a video about our summer plans and shared a little about that particular curriculum if you would like to check it out 🤗
