Can you do a video going through the reading currículum?

"Thank you so much for sharing with us". We are also starting 6th grade in August 2023 and were wondering what were the themes for this semester. She is very excited! Blessings!

Thanks for the video! What exactly happens if your child fails a test?

Hi Jess! It depends if you are accredited or unaccredited. If your child is accredited, and if it is a test that you have to send in to Abeka then they would grade it, and use it to determine his or her GPA. I would also call Abeka and say my child has just failed this test and I’m sure they still want to see it if it’s one of the tests that you have to submit. If you are unaccredited then you don’t have to do anything except what you want to do as the parent. I have not had a 6th grader fail a test, but if they did, I would have them go back and study and then retake the test if this is a once in a blue moon thing. If it’s all the time then that’s another thing. Abeka is much harder than public school testing from what I’ve heard and seen so if your child is just starting sixth grade and they are new to Abeka then the tests might be differently formatted and they might need to get used to the way the tests are. I know some parents that don’t even give their children the tests if they are unaccredited. I give my children the tests because I want to make sure they are learning and that they can take tests. I hope this helps! If you have any other questions let me know! Thanks! 👍🙂
