Full coverage of the group O match in the men's badminton singles event as Spain's Pablo Abian takes on Indonesia's Taufik Hidayat at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Badminton made its debut as a demonstration sport at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. It was not until the 1992 Games in Barcelona that it was officially included on the Olympic programme, with men's and women's singles and doubles events. The mixed doubles event made its debut in 1996 at the Atlanta Olympic Games. Since then, the number of events has remained unchanged.

Evidence? Abian had game point and an easy smash which he snatched into net. Coming from an unknown badminton country you carry a lot of weight and he was robbed a point too. Fact. Abian was amazing in first set and deserved it. Abian is up against the Asian machine here, taufik day in day out gets incredible level of practice. Taufik has fastest smash and best backhand stated by presenter. Abian has been in top 30 for years. I suppose Carolina Marin is not world class either as she from Spain?

I've never seen that colouring, of course I know some limited colouring racquet that name Taufik Hidayat. ARCSABER 10 Taufik Hidayat (original colouring red), ARCSABER Z-slash Taufik Hidayat (black red and white accent) and ARCSABER 11(black and silver) that is all I know.
I also would love one of those rackets, I have seen a few but no idea where or when they were sold. They are called Arcsaber 10 Premium.

Di olimpiade ini semua sektor tidak mendapatkan medali sekali pun perunggu , dan yg lebih parah lagi di sektor WD Greysia Polii dengan siapa itu pasangan nya gwa lupa terkena kasus dengan WD cina dan Korea. Sayang sekali. Padahal ini ajang olahraga terbesar dan gak gampang buat bisa ikut kesini . Well mudah2an tahun depan di Tokyo dapet emas lagi , mw dari sektor manapun.

Old? Was 30 here . Peter Gade was ranked world no 1 at 30 years old. Lee Chong Wei is much older now and still top player.
blanca roca and when did lee chong wei become top player? I think when he was 24 years old. Taufik won his first grand prix title at 16 y.o and entered All England Final at 17. That's 14 years at the top. Everyone got their own period, no need to compare.

Pemain tunggal pertama di dunia yg bisa dapat medali emas olimpiade 2004 dan langsung juara dunia di tahun berikutnya (2005). Hanya satu gelar yg tidak pernah didapatkan Taufik, juara All England.
