    If your making more than one cup of coffee
    make your coffee’s before u use the steamer as it takes a while for the machine to cool down leaving you waiting as the lights will flash for a while
    so I make expresso’s for the three of us then I steam the milk .. hope this helps

    The video helped. Thank you . In my box I only received two filters. The two cup filter and the coffee pod filter. Can I make a single cup in the two cup filter? I do have trouble with the milk steam frother. It doesn't seem to fit down to the milk in the SMEG jug I bought at the same time. Certainly not frothing at all. Advice please. Thank you.

    • @cookiedc5042
      @cookiedc5042  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would contact Smeg, and request the one-cup filter - it should have come in the box. Regarding the wand - yes, there are many similar comments online. You need to track down a suitable jug where the end of the wand can just reach the milk. It works great one you find one!

  • @rosagrossman5665

    This video was so helpful! Thank you! I'm still not managing the frother well. I'm spilling milk allover the place, all popping out of the jug. Any tips?

    • @cookiedc5042
      @cookiedc5042  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Be sure you have a narrow jug, and only froth about 100ml at a time. The end of the frother should only just reach the milk.

  • @rachduffin
    @rachduffin 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for the walk through with the machine. Bit of a troubleshooting question - Ive found first coffee pours perfectly but refilling the basket to pour another coffee results in a slow drip and a bitter taste? Quantity of coffee is the same, I've cleaned the basket in-between and it never seems to be a problem the following morning. Struggling to find something about this specifically online so thought I'd ask :)

    • @cookiedc5042
      @cookiedc5042  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rachel Duffin Hmmm. Slow drip might be over-filling / over-tamping the basket - I've certainly fallen foul of the later and experienced similar results. Bitterness sounds like over-heating though. Are you using the steam wand? If so, you MUST wait for the heating element to cool down before making another coffee, as this will definitely burn the coffee. Hope that's useful!

    • @cookiedc5042
      @cookiedc5042  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi there - glad you enjoyed the video! There are lots of small jugs on Amazon - somewhere around the 250/350ml size - mie's an aluminium one that cost about £5/6. People worry about the short frother arm - but remember, you only need the frother to touch the very top of the milk, not reach all the way down to the bottom of the jug. Also, as it froths, the volume of milk rises up the jug - so then you can move the frother up and down to heat the milk - hope that makes sense!
