Have a SMEG electric kettle, toaster. Like the SMEG look. Bought a SMEG coffee grinder. Will be getting a breville bambino plus. I like the smaller footprint. The bambino plus reviews were too good to ignore.
I've had the SMEG grinder for about 2 years and I love it. Cleaning is a bit of a chore though. I use my vacuums crevice tool to suck out all the grinds from the inside. Sadly, I think the motor is on its last leg now because it doesn't give me 12 cups worth of grind anymore.
Hi Suzi, thank you for this tutorial. I bought myself a Smeg Coffee machine but didn’t open it for months because I was waiting to move into my new place. UNFORTUNATELY that was a bad move. When I finally opened it, the on button would stay in so off it went to be repaired. Got it back today and to my horror it makes so much noise. Also the steamer doesn’t work properly so I’m not sure what my next move is. After all that explanation… what I really wanted to know is, had your machine always made so much noise? It’s almost as bad as mine. I saw a tutorial from Smeg Australia and theirs was almost silent. So now I’ve seen your video I’m completely confused. Thanks so much
Do you find it difficult not wasting a ton of milk when you make a cappuccino just for yourself? The steam nozzle doesn’t seem very long and the jug we use - if we just put enough in for one cup (about 120ml), the nozzle doesn’t reach the milk!
Change the steam wand to a standard one, there are videos on TH-cam on how to do it.

What is the grinding number for espresso ?

Wow. Not worth the $$. Just use the grinders at the grocery store and then store the coffee in an air tight coffee container.

my smeg grinder doesn't grind fine for espresso did some one know how can i fix that ?
Every review I read about the SMEG grinder says it does not grind fine enough for espresso. Have you found this to be true?

I have the same problem mate. Best thing to do is to buy a smaller jug.

I truly enjoy enjoy making my own expresso. Never a fan of those pod nespresso machine.

Your machine is making too much noise, probably you have a water pump with problems

Not liking pressurized baskets and that kind of milk wand does not make someone a coffee snob. It's a fact that they make very inferior coffee.
