- This song is one of our personal favorites. Kenny Loggins wrote the song when he was in high school and it was first released by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in 1970 on their 1970 album Uncle Charlie & His Dog Teddy. It was later recorded by Loggins and Messina on their 1971 album Sittin' In.
In 1994, Loggins re-recorded the song (with an additional verse) under the title "Return to Pooh Corner", a duet with Amy Grant, featuring backing vocals from Grant's then-husband, Gary Chapman. It appears on his album of the same title.
Well done. Nice harmonizing!
Thank you kindly!
beautiful harmonies!
Thank you!
truly some good medicine!
Thanks so much
I really appreciate the comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Great job! I always loved this tune and pretty much everything on those first three Loggins and Messina records. Never had heard that last verse before. Nice!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice!
Thank you!!!
VERY NICE JOB!!! You played all the correct chords, unlike some other videos I saw. Tell me is that a Taylor 414CE??
Thanks for the compliment! It's a Taylor CE214. Very similar but composite back and sides, no gloss finish, and no fancy pearls on the inlays. I love the way it plays though.
