You should be watching this in 1440 or 2160 even if you have a 1080 screen cos of bitrate.. 1080 on youtube is pretty low bitrate and isn't "true" 1080. Always watch in 1440+ if you can. The differences between 2160 and 1440 on a 1080 screen are minor.
The InvictusSamaritan it isn’t even native 4k, besides that it’s just resolution and not actually a smoother and significantly better experience. Glad I didn’t waste my money on a pro

4K difference is clear, that´s a simple math, but graphics differences are not present (textures, antialiasing, lod, framerate etc.). I do not care about 4k much.

To everyone who's playing Spider-Man on the PS4 Pro (including myself) who's using an HDTV rather than a 4K one, I advice you to turn off Supersampling since it's built-in for the game. Enabling it would cause quite a few fps drops (try sharpening your TV image, too. Maybe that'll work).

That's about it, if you have a TV that supports HDR, then you'll see a supersampled version of the game when playing the game. Of course, on TH-cam that's not possible because TH-cam compresses the video quality of the original source.

Both versions are HDR which is the biggest equalizer. With a TV that does decent upscaling the differences are negligible. SM looks amazing on a standard PS4.
You only notice the difference if you zoom in, or if you look closely to the pixels on your tv. If you’re playing normally, you can’t see the difference at all!

I was going to buy a ps4 pro for this game but my dad friend sent me a present and it's was a PS4 with horizon zero down and uncharted 4 and a game I don't K now I can save money and just buy the game
I bought a ps4 pro last year(was my first ps4) just for this game... Here I am, day 3 after launch and the only game I own on/completed is Spider-Man. Sometimes you need to buy expensive things for the things you love.
These videos never show a difference, I went for it and got a Pro with a bunch of games, after selling my PS4 and the games it only cost me £25. The difference is quite substantial though on a 4K TV, FarCry 5 and Doom look way better and you can sit an inch infront of the screen and it still looks amazing
Also to note HDR even if you have a Normal ps4 but you have a 4k tv with HDR playing the game with HDR on makes it look way better than with it off...no one seems to mention that lol its all ps4 pro or bog standard ps4 but no mention of playing it on standard ps4 with HDR on

Very impressive on both accounts. I can see the difference even on my 1080p monitor as clearly distant details stay in-tact much more. On a 4K panel the difference will be much clearer, though. Then again, TH-cam can *not* display actual 1080p or 4K quality content (when set to respective settings) anyway due to their compression algorhythms, but you should still be able to tell the differences imho. They're just not nearly going to be as noticeable as in real life.

If you're wondering where's his tattoo at 0:05 it's not because of the ps4. Because i bought the game yesterday and when i played last night on my ps4 slim he didn't have that tattoo but because i was on bed and half sleep i decided to restart it to see what i missed and when i played it again today that dude had that tattoo. So it's probably a bug from the game itself not the console.

I wish they'd done more than just increase the resolution. They should have at least provided the option of 1080P with improved draw distance, increased particle effects etc.
The only thing this video confirmed for me besides the PS4 base version looking just as spectacular unless you're under a microscope. Was that I could listen to that soundtrack on repeat all day long! Little under 48 hours can't wait!!

Digital Foundry confirms they both run the game pretty stable at 30fps. The pro just has more detailed resolution and maybe better loading times.

I bought a ps4 pro last year(was my first ps4) just for this game... Here I am, day 3 after launch and the only game I own on/completed is Spider-Man. Sometimes you need to buy expensive things for the things you love.
It doesn’t really matter if you don’t zoom, unless you play it on a screen that is as big as the theater’s

These videos never show a difference, I went for it and got a Pro with a bunch of games, after selling my PS4 and the games it only cost me £25. The difference is quite substantial though on a 4K TV, FarCry 5 and Doom look way better and you can sit an inch infront of the screen and it still looks amazing
Also to note HDR even if you have a Normal ps4 but you have a 4k tv with HDR playing the game with HDR on makes it look way better than with it off...no one seems to mention that lol its all ps4 pro or bog standard ps4 but no mention of playing it on standard ps4 with HDR on
@@marklola12 yea the base PS4 has HDR and it does make a big difference and I played with it on for a while but the Pro still makes a noticeable change
@@ThatPixelGuy yeh course the pro makes a difference but it's no game changer graphics wise for a game built from the ground up for the PS4. Same was for horizon zero dawn I had it for the pro looked great but on my nephew's normal PS4 with just HDR it looks great and not massively different...not as much as you would think

Very impressive on both accounts. I can see the difference even on my 1080p monitor as clearly distant details stay in-tact much more. On a 4K panel the difference will be much clearer, though. Then again, TH-cam can *not* display actual 1080p or 4K quality content (when set to respective settings) anyway due to their compression algorhythms, but you should still be able to tell the differences imho. They're just not nearly going to be as noticeable as in real life.

If you're wondering where's his tattoo at 0:05 it's not because of the ps4. Because i bought the game yesterday and when i played last night on my ps4 slim he didn't have that tattoo but because i was on bed and half sleep i decided to restart it to see what i missed and when i played it again today that dude had that tattoo. So it's probably a bug from the game itself not the console.
