Dana Carvey always seems completely shocked that people laugh at his jokes. That's part of what makes him so wonderful and incredible.
Fun fact: My Great Uncle used to run a Pool Hall, here in Liverpool, England, back in the late '50s, and a couple of times, had to kick a young Paul McCartney out, for acting too rowdy,.

It's definitely Dana's voice...but he's using Paul's mannerisms and 'speech idioms' to convince the listener 'that's definitely 'Macca' alright!' (Lennon was an excellent 'mimic' of McCartney...yet you could still hear Lennon's 'real voice' there)

@@dannydorko7075 Yeah right. Most Americans didn't know Laurie was even English until he went on talk shows, and Cumberbatch's accent is solid too. I think you're trying to make believe you're magically 1,000,000 more perceptive than the rest of us. 🙄
Many of us Americans prefer British televsion. The accents are no different than any other in the worlds, once you learn not to mix the various dialects. I often surprise Brits when I can pinpoint where they're from based on their regionals. No, I would say you're working off of your experience with your circle, but a lot of us can do British accents convincingly.
I’ve noticed Americans can often do better Liverpudlian accents better than non Liverpudlian English.
