I don't think it's second to anyone. You can point a certain impression and say, he does it better than Dana, but an impressionist does impressions of many people. Dana does great impressions of most of them. Dana, Bill Hader & Jimmy Fallon are the three best impressionists imo.
It's an end of an era. Conan was the only late night host i liked because he's actually funny. He'll do well on HBO max. Streaming is way more popular for his audience age group.

I feel like he and Craig Ferguson were the last two who understood why late night talk shows were created and why people loved them so much. Both Jimmy's were and can be funny outside of their shows but when those cameras come on they change. I watched a Howard Stern show with Fallon as the guest and he was a much more calm normal version of what you see on TV. Kimmel used to be funny and honest, almost like a Charles Barkley type of person. But now it's nothing but politics. I don't like Trump, Hillary, or Biden but what I dislike more is people constantly telling me who they don't like. Late night is supposed to be about getting away from the world and having a genuine laugh
Totally agree. I can’t think of anything in entertainment history that has been more quickly marginalized/destroyed quite like late night talk shows hosted by “comedians“. It’s another bit of collateral damage in this era of insane obsession with politics and social issues. I know this isn't the end, only a new beginning. But I've watched conan since I can remember I was born in 1990 and some of my earliest memories were staying up late waiting for my dad to get off of work and watching Conan's animal segments and falling in love with his show he shaped who I am and my sense of humor thank you so much for all the years of laughter. I laughed so hard sometimes it made my stomach hurt and got me through a lot of bad times. Here's to many more years of laughter to come. Love you Coco.

In The Year 2000 sketch and earlier, the skits were awesome. The Macaulay Culkin "chicken butt" was my first memory of watching late night TV, let alone Conan. I remember his shows, no matter what network he was on, and it's always been great. Thank you Conan and crew, been 30 years+ and you've been a cornerstone since.

Dana's old bits never get old, just more refined. Dana has been my hero since I was a kid...Before youtube I had to watch SNL re-runs, sometimes during the day, sometimes late at night, and I'd only be watching for Dana Carvey skits...I think his acting career kinda suffered from his show being canceled for whatever reason...don't wanna get into it. But I would have loved to see him in movies that are so ridiculous these days...His style of comedy is unique and if he came out with more material probably would have been the greatest stand up comedian of all time. I love that he's just enjoying life. I like the dirty Dana "c'mon man". "Now look back at it and act surprised".

I actually have anxiety that Norm MacDonald isn't Conan's last guest, or at least one of his last guests. It just isn't right. Unfortunately, Norm's absence is going to undercut Jack Black's appearance, to no fault of Jack's.
He’s right, it’s hard to say if someone is the funniest comedian in the world, but I think Dana was right when he said: ‘There’s only AS funny as Conan.’ Conan is definitely at the level of comedic ability where although I can’t say that there’s nobody AS funny as him(there are IMO, although very few), there IS NOBODY I can think of that I’d consider funnier than Conan. He very well may be the funniest person in the world.
