I always wonder why Carvey doesn't get really high praise as a comedian, he gets some recognition as a funny guy, but not as much as he deserves imo.
This guy is almost as versatile and funny as Robin Williams was, and he combines uncanny facial expressions with his imitations.

Personally, I think he is FAR funnier than Robin Williams, RIP, was. Carvey is a comedic genius.
He's truly a comedic genius. He's also very wealthy and doesn't need to work. I think that he has really embraced family life and just isn't as driven as he used to be.

Usually I'm not that personal on-line. But if I hadn't by sheer coincidence found Dana's 2008 stand-up a year ago (and then started watching his other stuff and SNL in general), I would have probably slowly succumbed to depression. I have been experiencing on & off episodes of prolonged grief for like 3 years & last year was hard again. I just browse for his clips (and of SNL in general) and cry my eyes out from laughing. It seems I needed that man's playfulness :D Bless Mr. Carvey & bless TH-cam related videos section where clips from his stand-up appeared. :D American people, you have great comedy.

I mean, really, there's 1289 days until the election in 2020, and with what's happened so far it's pretty hopeless to expect otherwise.
I guess most people have just come to accept it.
It's amazing what people can become accustomed to. We are, without a doubt, a highly adaptable species. With that said, we must fight with every ounce of our being to not let this become normalized.
