DOODLE DOVE because not everybody has the same nails, cuticles, etc. some of us need to use a pusher because our cuticles grow faster or thicker than other people.
I don’t have visible cuticles and I haven’t had a manicure in years. My nail beds are short and naturally clean so I don’t see the need to push/remove my cuticles. Maybe if I had hand dysmorphia I would.

That's not a "crazy" tool, and if used correctly it is not "dangerous". A drill would count as a crazy tool. Metal cuticule pushers are supposed to be used only if the dead skin is very stubborn, and in this case she hadn't pushed her cuticles back in a few months, so a metal tool would be good for this occasion. Notice how she also said to GENTLY use the metal tool.
I thought was only me I had this weird issue! 😂 My right hand nail beds are way shorter than my left! I always have considered my left hand as my beautiful one 😂
None of the smile lines on my nails are straight, so doing a square shape is hard. If I'm not careful I'll slant the nails to match the lines and be mad that not only are all my nails crooked, they're slanted at different angles!
Grow your nails out a bit and shape them evenly. As evenly as possible. Do this every week or so and after some time, they should grow in the direction you file them in. Hope this helps!
I enjoy your videos so much, not only because of the advice but also because they always have such a relaxing atmosphere! Your nails and voice are great, and so is your editing 💯
i am just watching this for the first time, new to your channel, and just want to say that you have such a great personality and seem so friendly, your video was so fun to watch! it was much more lively and conversational than the other videos i had clicked on previously. new sub!
I have the same problem with my left hand nail beds being longer that my right hand! Here’s my theory! When I first started painting my nails, I would only paint my left hand because I did a terrible job using my non-dominant hand! I also sort of neglected my right hand as well when it came to pushing back my cuticles, trimming away my cuticles, etc. I believe that pushing back your cuticles over time exposes the nail bed which makes it longer, so after years of doing my nails, my right hand is finally starting to catch up, but I can definitely still see a difference!
I have cuticle cutters and they are the best thing for cutting hang nails and those peeling bits of skin around the nail. I get those all the time, but I find the mini hangnail clippers don’t get in as close, aren’t as sharp and so tend to pull rather than cut cleanly, so they can hurt to use, aren’t as effective and the problem doesn’t really go away. Cuticle cutters do a much better job for me.
Pls answer this I used to cut my cuticles (because i had my nails done and so now i had to cut the cuticles every single time) I try my best not to cut them anymore.. i oil my nails and push them back using just my nails.. Now the skin build up in the cuticle is thick and i'm tempted to cut them again. What should i do?
You're not alone! My thumbs have the longest nail beds, and my ring fingers and pinkies have the shortest. The sizes are also different, with my right hand generally having longer nail beds. I agree it's very odd!
Girl you have beautiful nail beds. You are blessed with pretty hands. I have chunky sausage fingers. I wish i had your slim fingers. Your NATURAL nails are PRETTY. I love the finished look.
Gold Bond hand cream is the best I've found so far. I live in Colorado and Denver usually has a lower humidity level than Sahara City, Egypt. 😂 After watching this, I decided not to give my KL Polish Pinky to my mom as I can now see how wonderful a sheer polish can make a difference. Now, back to painting sparkly nails...
I used to live in the springs and I agree about the low humidity. I used to buy body/hand lotion in the Dollar Tree, came in a tube, Dernasil, it is great stuff! It was the only thing that worked for me!
I use this base coat. Its the best. You can wear dark colors and its slides off with no staining or yellowing. The linkage technology in Maxus is really good.
My secret to using nail hardner, is to apply the first coat and let it dry, the next day apply the second coat, and again let it dry and so on for 7 days, the next week wipe off everything and start again the same procedure for another week, DO this and you will see improvement. Keep applying a coat on top of each nail each day, without wiping off the other coats.
hi! i really want to be a nurse but i have always bit my nails ever since i was a kid. i've stopped for a while now and all of them, except both my index fingers, are fine. those two have now turned dark and are a bit deformed. they're still growing (i think) but i don't think the darkness is going away. it's a huge insecurity of mine and i'm really starting to think not to pursue nursing because of it :(( are there any operations i could go through for this to be fixed?
Every time I use cuticle remover….my cuticles are so dried out…they split for weeks. Any cuticle remover that does the job but is exceptionally gentle?
Really enjoyed watching your routine lovely 💗! So happy that I've found your channel. I've always been obsessed with nails, thank you for inspiring me even more 😘.
My nail roots (idk what their name is but they are the sides of a nail) get out of their place and peel of any tips on how to prevent this? Also my nails do not grow straight because of this
Not only is the nail more aesthetically pleasing, but a buildup of dead skin cells is the perfect candidate for an infection. By pushing back cuticles, you also eliminate the prevalence of hangnails.
I totally agree that my nail beds are different, so it makes it so hard to get them the same shapes 😂 my pinky and ring fingers are very square, and my pointer and thumbs are very round. My middle is somewhere in between so it’s all awkward
I just do it like put my hands in water and i use wooden sticks and coton and sweet almond oil and a file obviasly. I'm portuguese sorry for bad english.
My nails get dirty very soon bcs I used to eat nails and now I have left this habbit. And now I am facing it. The white part of my nails has started appearing very soon and it gets dirty soon . Plz give any solution in comments reply
My finger insecurities- my cuticles are awful, I try to stop picking at them but I can’t and I also try take care of them with a cuticle pushers and cutters and it doesn’t work. Also they are super dryyyyy, so I just file and paint my nails hoping when people ask if my nails are real (which a lot of people do) that they won’t notice my cuticles. I’ve tried nail oils, Vaseline, coconut oil, cutile cream, heavy lotions to see if they will become less dry BUT IT DOESNT WORKKKK UHHGGGGGG, Thank you for listening to my rant
That1ShyGirl nothing works overnight so continue use. Also if your hair skin and nails are dry then pay attention to your diet. I am taking taking liquid biotin for my hair, skin, and nails, but the gummy’s for all three worked well. What you think is dry skin might just be dead skin constantly peeling so try exfoliating. I bough the 60 second manicure hand scrub from bath and body works along with the lotion.
This is the amount of sticky layer you get after months?! That is what I get rid off after like 1-2 weeks, depending on the season (because nails seem to grow like crazy in the summer months)! I also have crazy-sticky sticky layer so even the cuticle removers everyone raves about seem to fail me. I do manage to get quite a bit off with a good one and a rosewood stick, but maybe I'll have to try one of these metal tools soon. I have tried pushing the sticky layer while in the shower and such, but nothing really helps. I have 1 or 2 nails where there is a particular area I basically never can get the sticky layer off. It's not crazy visible or impacting painting my nails, but it is a nail insecurity of mine. Speaking of nail insecurities, my biggest is the fact that some of my lateral nail folds are flaring out, rather than being nice and straight like yours. It can be quite bothersome at my middle fingers, because on those nails my nail plates naturally flare out quite extremely, so when I file I have to take the nail plate in at the sides (everything that is free edge of course) otherwise my middle fingers' nails look like open hand fans.
Yep my nail beds on my right are totally shorter than the left hand They’re also less rounded on top, bend weirdly when they grow out, break easier, and are wider too I think Sometimes I think I cut my nails too short with my non dominant hand as a kid and that made the right hand nails that way Who knows 🤷🏻♀️
Does anyone else have a bump on the middle knuckle of their dominant where they hold their writing utensils? I’ve seen it referred to as a writers bump but I have no idea how to get rid of it

hi! i really want to be a nurse but i have always bit my nails ever since i was a kid. i've stopped for a while now and all of them, except both my index fingers, are fine. those two have now turned dark and are a bit deformed. they're still growing (i think) but i don't think the darkness is going away. it's a huge insecurity of mine and i'm really starting to think not to pursue nursing because of it :(( are there any operations i could go through for this to be fixed?
3:05 omg ikr?! Me and my sister have 2 different nail bed sizes on each hand. It’s so weird! My left hand has shorter nail beds. So odd
Happy Hobby Hole Same! Mine are different shapes too
My friend got those nice round nails but I have square nails so this helped!
Love the short, squared nails! 🥰
How often do you use the cuticle remover formula?
Going to try this, on my natural nails..
Great ❤️
My nail roots (idk what their name is but they are the sides of a nail) get out of their place and peel of any tips on how to prevent this? Also my nails do not grow straight because of this
I love maxxus base and top coat!!!!!
Why we need to push back our cuticles? I never push back my cuticle and they are fine. Just want to know why and am I need it?
Not only is the nail more aesthetically pleasing, but a buildup of dead skin cells is the perfect candidate for an infection. By pushing back cuticles, you also eliminate the prevalence of hangnails.
*NO CRAZY TOOLS NEEDED!* i was like FINALLY SOMEONES NOT SHOVING A FREAKING NEEDLE IN THEIR NAIL
Please make a video on beautiful hands and fingers care routine
I totally agree that my nail beds are different, so it makes it so hard to get them the same shapes 😂 my pinky and ring fingers are very square, and my pointer and thumbs are very round. My middle is somewhere in between so it’s all awkward
I just do it like put my hands in water and i use wooden sticks and coton and sweet almond oil and a file obviasly. I'm portuguese sorry for bad english.
Your nail is so cute 😍😍
Came across your video. Purchased London cuticle remover and it worked perfectly. Thank you!
My nails get dirty very soon bcs I used to eat nails and now I have left this habbit. And now I am facing it. The white part of my nails has started appearing very soon and it gets dirty soon . Plz give any solution in comments reply
Yes same here
My finger insecurities- my cuticles are awful, I try to stop picking at them but I can’t and I also try take care of them with a cuticle pushers and cutters and it doesn’t work. Also they are super dryyyyy, so I just file and paint my nails hoping when people ask if my nails are real (which a lot of people do) that they won’t notice my cuticles. I’ve tried nail oils, Vaseline, coconut oil, cutile cream, heavy lotions to see if they will become less dry BUT IT DOESNT WORKKKK UHHGGGGGG,
Thank you for listening to my rant
That1ShyGirl nothing works overnight so continue use. Also if your hair skin and nails are dry then pay attention to your diet. I am taking taking liquid biotin for my hair, skin, and nails, but the gummy’s for all three worked well. What you think is dry skin might just be dead skin constantly peeling so try exfoliating. I bough the 60 second manicure hand scrub from bath and body works along with the lotion.
my name is alicia and yes your are not the only one with what you were saying about your right and left, its fustrating
Damn your hands look so smooth!
what's the gel u used is it base coat
What is the color of the sheer Essie nail polish from this youtube?
Love these nails!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
which color of the essie polish did you use?
I love squareish shaped nails when they’re painted but when they aren’t they look weird to me anyone else?
braelyn wilson yeah, same. the white part just looks weird
No crazy tools needed but 20 products lol
Yep my nail beds on my right are totally shorter than the left hand
They’re also less rounded on top, bend weirdly when they grow out, break easier, and are wider too I think
Sometimes I think I cut my nails too short with my non dominant hand as a kid and that made the right hand nails that way
Who knows 🤷🏻♀️
Does anyone else have a bump on the middle knuckle of their dominant where they hold their writing utensils? I’ve seen it referred to as a writers bump but I have no idea how to get rid of it
You can try altering your grip or purchasing pencil grips to lessen the pressure on your fingers. I have a writer’s bump for a while lol
^I’ve had a
Thank you fod your video! I do also have nails shorter on my right hand but this is becausr right hand is my dominant hand so they are more used :)
u didn't mention if u wait until it dry n make the next step or no
My right middle finger is a tad shorter than my left middle finger. Same for the nail bed. The right's just a smidge shorter than the left.
Ohhh I need that cuticle remover
