Also it depends on the quality of the gel polish. I use Arte Clavo, MTSSII gel and Born Pretty cheapo Ebay gel polish. Budget girls can't spend £14/$18 on a 10 ml/8oz tiny bottle! Silcare Color It! is a really good budget brand! Tip is to use a good base and a good topcoat! And add 3-6 topcoats! To encapsulate the polish and prevent dings and chips! UK 🇬🇧 26.12.23

thank you for posting a video on short nails. They look fabulous. I noticed that when you were painting the free edge you had some polish on your skin. At what stage do you remove it and what with? thanks )
i remove any polish that is on the skin before curing! thanks for your support :)

Do you cure after the base coat ?
yes! all layers of gel including the base and top need to be cured.

After the 2nd coat of gel polish you don’t cure it for 30 seconds ? You just put the top coat on & then you cure it ?
i cured the gel after each coat!
How long does this last?
I find my gel manicures usually last 2-2.5 weeks before chipping or looking grown out!
So NO gel polish machine necessary for these, WOW!! So the key then is to purchase gel nail polish that doesn’t need a machine to set it?!?
Hi! So these do need a uv or led lamp in order to cure (dry). There are some really great cheap options on amazon that work well!
