    I've seen tons of products. IMO your kits are way better. No heat gun or torch needed. Any product that gives you high quality results and reduce the amount of steps to achieve that result is a WINNER. 👌👌

    Top looks really good! Backsplash is OK. Looks really challenging.
    Have you guy messed around with letting the epoxy dry more than the top before putting in the color?
    Seems having to constantly drag thru the epoxy due to drips/gravity makes it appear much different than the top.
    I have no idea myself.... just thinking out loud...

    • @LeggariProducts

    do you not have to take a torch to the top on this? Is this stone-coat countertops or is it your own formulas?

    • @LeggariProducts
      @LeggariProducts  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is our own Leggari Formula💯 Our epoxy is chemically formulated to push self-level and push air bubbles to the surface.
      The first thing we spray is 91% or higher isopropyl alcohol; this creates cells in the design and disperses the epoxy. Once that evaporates, we spray denatured alcohol to pop micro bubbles. This allows us to avoid torching the epoxy.

    We have a counter with mirror just like this (but with square edge instead of decorative on the backsplash). @Leggari can you tell how long you waited to pull the tape and if there were any issues with the epoxy between the backsplash and the edge of the mirror?

    • @LeggariProducts
      @LeggariProducts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Always caulk the backsplash so no epoxy gets down there. As far as the tape anywhere from 30 min to 2 hours depending on temp and how long it took you to pour. You just want to pull down the tape and have that resin just barely be moving down that edge.

    Hi - the look is beautiful. I always loved the look of epoxy countertops. But, a few years ago, I was looking at homes to buy. I went into a home that had a lot of epoxy in the kitchen. Of course it was dry, but the chemical smell was overwhelming to me. I couldn't get out of the house fast enough. Was something done wrong at that home, or is epoxy always that strong of an odor? That's what made me turn away from epoxy because of that strong chemical odor. I was concerned that the epoxy odor could be toxic. I'm not saying it is, it just smelt that way. What are your thoughts on the strong chemical fumes? Thank you. Epoxy is beautiful, but I can't stand the smell.

    I priced a kit for my small 115 sq/ft counter. $1700! I may as well buy a granite counter for $800 from Lowe’s...

      Our products are actually industrial coating made for military aircraft hangers, etc. So theoretically in a residential, or even commercial setting it will last forever. This is NOT a cheap epoxy paint that you will commonly find at box stores like Home Depot or sherwin Williams. It is a thick 100% solids epoxy coating.

      Are you sure it’s 115 sq ft. That’s huge! Most slabs of granite will only yield about 35 square ft worth of actual counter space once they’re sized and cut. Your kitchen will need about 3-4 slabs. Which means you’re getting that many granite slabs cut, polished, and installed for $6.96/ft?! I know our local Lowe’s, even with the cheapest granite they offer, are $37-$60+ per sq ft. That would put your kitchen somewhere between $4,255 and $5,750+.

    I have almost completed my redo on the bathroom vanity top, but, without thinking I also kilz my bowl and then painted the bowl as well, but I have not put the coats of polyurenthen on it, is it too late to remove the colors in the bowl?, I used acrylic paint, but used oil base kilz, I thought I would ask someone before i put the final coats on bc I truly didn't know if I should leave the bowl original plain color or could make it blend in with the countertop? help

    Question : Pouring the primer or epoxy from the can and them smoothning it put, seems like a lot of wasted material and lots of dripping around. Do we really need that much? Can we just not apply multiple coats of it with a brush or roller like a regular paint instead of pouring everything out at once

    • @hectornathaniel

      No epoxy is nothing like paint, it has to be a thicker to level out and cover the whole area without spreading apart and leaving missing spots

    What do you do if the back splash or front edge ends up with a run or brush mark ? Can it be sanded down and polished? Does the backsplash and edge have a super smooth surface when dried similar to the flat surface, or does it look like a brushed painted finish ?

    • @funferthefam
