Nkhulu Male Lion killing Sand River Cub | Lion Warfare

- Nature is brutal. A Nkhulu male killed the youngest member of sand river pride this morning. The death of the cub made its mother and us very sad indeed. But the male just followed its instinct.
As lion fans, we love them and pay attention to lion dynamics. The first thing we should do is to be a qualified audience, respect the nature, respect the instincts of wildlife.

The sad part is the cub had no clue he just laid down in from t of the lion like he felt almost protected. I know it’s nature but it is just so cruel at times.
How did you know what he was thinking? were you in his mind? He was lying down because he couldn't do anything else
Wow last I knew I lived in American and have the freedom to think and say what I want. I was given MY opinion and you know as well as I do I cannot read his mind. I feel he just laid there without a care in the world. We didn’t see what all led up to that moment. Everyone has an opinion on how they interpret what the facts before them then you have clowns that want to have smart remarks to make them feel like what they are feel or say is not right unless you agree. Obviously you are gifted and know everything that goes on with all videos. You are blessed
@@karenthompson8151hell I agree 👍 with you 💯 %besafe bro ❤🦁👑
I think the cub knew and instinctually first froze then laid down to seem submissive. That is about all he could do in reality and the cub did it well. The cub instinctually knows that moving to run away would trigger the big lion’s pray drive instinct and he cannot outrun him being so small so the cub was actually smart as he did indeed confuse the big lion whose muscles were tense for a few minutes. Unfortunately it was not enough.
@@luvmyaussie9561 so true and 😔 moments but well said I agree 👍 besafe bro ♥ 🦁👑
Please guys educate yourselves. Male lions eliminate cubs that aren't their own to secure their genetic lineage and territory, ensuring their own offspring's survival and dominance. It looks harsh, but look past the heartbreak and see the instinctual drive for survival and legacy.

And?

The woman CONSTANTLY ASKING "Are you ok???" YES EVERYONE IS FUCKING OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU'RE IN AFRICA WHERE THINGS LIKE THIS HAVE BEEN GOING ON FOR TENS OF THOUSANDS OF YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yay people need to realize real life is mot a Disney movie
This is an expensive safari, so she's trying to make sure the guests are comfortable. It doesn't matter where it is. It sounds like she's just trying to be accommodating.
What a clown show. "Sorry you had to see that" 😂. You travel to the jungle and want censorship??!
also, if you listen well enough, you can hear that the cub was suffocated. the male kept adjusting and squeezing his rib cage together to push all the air out and bite force prevented him from breathing in.
THE MOTHER CLEARLY WAS INEXPERIENCED ...HAD SHE BEEN EXPERIENCED SHE WOULD'VE FOUGHT TO THE DEATH TO PROTECT HER CHILD
fight or, She could have taken her cub away from the killer nkulu male but she did nothing, unlucky cub so sad
Even a strong lioness has no chance against a prime lion. Sorry, but gender equality is a joke. Even animals know this.
They typically do not fight to the death. Later, she will mate with the male that ate her cub.
You could hear the cubs back click that was it breaking he knows how to kill quickly.
so the cub died before the male lion took it off to the bush/cover?
@@HungTran-tb1zy Of course it did it was over in 30 seconds isnt he was lying limp thats how you know .
The king did what he was supposed to do. Aint no stepdaddies in a lion pride!
Prides are only made up of female lions, cubs, and subadults. Adult male lions are part of coalitions or by themselves
Brutal world it is for lions, hard to watch but this is nature and it goes on all the time. RIP to the little one 🙏
The guide is sweet. She didn't need to apologise and reassure as much as she did, but she did anyway. This is evolution at work; it is what it is, warts and all.
It's terrible for this mom💔 to witness the death of his little one🌹 and not be able to do anything...only sadness for this pride which suffers the repeated assaults of the Nkhulu males. The Nkhulu are more and more confident and will surely do more damage if they all stay together in the sector...
I understand the reason Why people are crying...but this is what to expect when visiting a Lion world...Is brutal..
Apologizing for nature? Make it make sense
Great video capture of nature at its rawest. Emotionally sad but it’s the way they have lived for thousands of years. The most annoying thing is hearing the voices and sounds of all the people in the background. Wish so much it could have just been filmed by a steady hand and all the background chatter left out.
Please be quiet while filming and don't move the camera so much, it’s nature, what did you expect?
I think they are american tourist the smartest people
Not the nature that we are used to. Nature is depressing.
Empathy is why. Morons
@@francolinselfborn952 yeah we heard you on the other comment. We get it, you hate Americans.
Why don’t you go to Africa and do your own video?
Very harsh reality of the world in front of our eyes. Poor clueless cub.
That was a very sad moment
Male lion got so close, pretending to be a friend, didn't need to chase
Rip Little one😢. This lioness was probably not his mother or something like that. Cruel but wild❤❤❤❤
Even the Lion was thinking..
😢 that cub knew what was going to happen
The cub was very brave and smart- the cub instinctually knew that running would just trigger the pray drive and tried to look calm and submissive which actually stunned and confused the big and very otherwise aggressive lion for a few minutes.
Nothing about its behavior suggests that it had any idea what was going to happen.
Why judge? It Doesn't make someone stupid or weak because they are moved by watching something like this. Yes, it is what males do but it is still quite heartbreaking to witness.
I Think that cub belonged to that lioness at the end judging from how she made those soft grunting noise/ calling maybe to the cub.
Yup poor mom.
You think?
You guys in the car should have distracted the male lion. And don't give me bullsht that you can't. I've seen what Sabi sands did. The 6 famous lions there so called park officials.
@BruceWayne-sz3th They only break the rules when they can get top ratings. And the people can get really entertain't
And there's something in it for them then. The people that are filming at.
Hell yeah I agree 👍 😡 bro ♥ 🦁👑
It's nature. It's what happens in the animal kingdom. If it's not this cub, it's another. And then another. It's a vicious cycle that humans can't stop. Distracting the male lion won't change the behavior that is embedded in their species.
@drewsu3352 It's Sabi sands, they wanna give you a good show, so that way you're entertained. And they set those lions up like they did the 6 famous lions. The human intervention always changes the dynamics of that park. That's what you people don't realize.
How did the cub die so fast? like he was lifeless within a min or two? how is it possible?
Bro you think the cub can take a bit for a male lion like that. He basically crashed her
he broke his spine so probably got paralyzed
That’s just horrible
Why people are mad lion has done this since forever
This cubs it’s not his lineage not his pride
Ain’t simp lion here darling!!
Also other animals species do the same thing birds and fish
Lions dont believe in simping
I like how the lion politely waited for her to finish her speech before he killed the cub
You hear the last cub cry after the twist
Lioness at the end had to be the mother of that cub. Poor cub. It's tragic but it's nature
Didn't see this in the Disney version.
If the cub were allowed to ive and grow, it might well try to kill the Nkhulu male. Nature.
That's the way of the lion, these boys are very aggressive!
Extremely poor videography. Probably done by a noob.
Poor unsuspecting cub, but even if it hid, it would have been found.
When saw them recently, happy family scene, it was as if the females knew & all they could do was wait.
Sometimes they have to abandon the cubs, rather than incur more wrath from new males 😢😮
Ι start to dislike the Nkhulus totally.. now he goes and eat it, because they not only kill another Sand River cub, but they are cannibal's... this is not an acceptable act for me and destroyed my day... his mother doesn't protect it at all, poor little one,now she goes and mate with the killer of her cub....
Lol you're pretending that there is a moral dimension to animal behaviour. There isn't. They act only according to the set of traits and instincts bequeathed to them by natural selection. Morally condemning what this lion has done is about as sophisticated as condemning a zebra for having stripes. Besides, lion infanticide serves an important evolutionary purpose, however grim it is for us to watch.
what do you think this is, a romantic action movie featuring your favourite human actors? please grow up if you seriously think these animals have morals or an understanding of what you might think lol
@@awwadwaddwaawdawd2708 i know very well what it is and why,i think you didn't understood what i said...i said,, it's not acceptable by ME....if you allow me to have my feelings....
@@heartfeltteaching i don't pretend anything... this is how i feel...and as individuals they are, they all act differently, there's not only instinct, they would all then act the same
@@ΧρυσηΜιχελακη I said a set of instincts. There are variations of how those instincts are expressed in animal behaviour. The point is that there is no moral dimension to their behaviour, which is why it makes no sense to call the infanticide “unacceptable.” Further, there’s no compelling evidence that animals think of their behaviour in moral terms-that is, holding a belief that they *ought* or ought not to act a certain way.
4:02 "this is not something us humans should witness "
What should us humans witness?!? Lion's smelling flowers 🌺🌷🤷?!?
3:45 for context
Not so in the circle of life. It can be complex but it's part of the eco system. Male Lions typically kill cubs that's not theirs for dominance and mating, it looks brutal but without understanding the dynamics it leads to misunderstandings.🌅🦁
Those woke ppl think they are in Disney Land and not in the wild 😂
these people live in a wonderful Woke
So sad. Large male coalition can protect its cubs very good . Their team work can defend any their intruders or new male lions. Pride strength also play an important role to protect its cubs . If the pride has too many female lions , they can easily protect its cubs from a single male lion . This is my observation.
It's a pride takeover, it's the way of the lion or any big cat! That's a prime male lion looking to perpetuate his own genes and it's nature! I think that lioness was the cubs mother! She knows that her cub has been killed, I think she saw it happen and look at the way she went and smelt the place her cub was killed and then she makes a grieving call to her cub! I think the male will eat that cub!
And if that same cub got injured in the Pride the mother would leave it behind if it couldnt keep up and let it be killed by a hyena its because of the fall.
What a soy safari😂
Poor cub. At least he had a quick death.
R.I.P. Little guy
Wasn't quick at all...suffered the crushing jaws of this killer
Was the man/woman with the camera drunk?! Why the constant movement?
I can hear the tourguide lady is a South African...
This is so sad but why did I watch it 10 times? 😢😭👹🤣
Because it expresses profound truths about family and the visceral emotions of reproduction.
If your hands are shaking and have a weak stomach, why do this job? I don’t get it…
I fuckin kill that lion on that time

Some people are just too weak!!! Argghh.. Those commentaries alone made me realize that people will be the first one to get extinct before these animals..
I actually enjoyed watching this & would have loved to see that savagery in real life! ❤😍
How did they know the male lion has this in his mind he was going to commit this murder 😢 how did professionals know Explain it to me ??????
male lions will kill the cubs to mate with the mother lioness. It's very very common
They can recognize the body language of the lions, and see that the cub and big male didn't greet each other.
Lions usually have a greeting ceremony, and will then typically collapse and lie down close to one another.
That isn't his cub

Not his real father, only a bad padosi maybe😢
So so sad for both.. Heart-breaking 💔
Big threat to gijima males and southern pride
Are they around them?
Humans should adopt this . This is true nature
Thought it was his cub ,he was comfortable with this adult lion .
So sad 😢😢
crazy why do they do it
Because by doing so they induce the lionesses to go into heat again, so this male can breed with them and replace the offspring of a former dominant male with his own. Every male lion will do this whenever he displaces the dominant male from a pride and becomes the new one in charge.
damn nature you scary lol
Take these Nkhulu brothers to the Masai Mara in Kenya so that they can meet the Saba Bora Brothers. perfect for each other 7 vs 7 💪✊
The Saba Bora boys were seven no ?🤔
@@sanogoyuga right. Total 9 but 2 left
I don't like lions
I know that’s what it is but you guys can intervene once in a while because that was a cub Cubs can live with her mother you could’ve gave that lineus one chance to help her all she had to do was make a call sound like there was cows or something he would’ve took off to go fetch the cow instead of trying to eat that I hate to say it wasn’t right
It is a privilege to be in the midst of their nature. We have no right to interfere as humans as nature takes it's course. Should we interfere when a lion goes for a young calf? In as much as some of the scenes might be sad, it is just part of the ecosystem in their world.
Silly comment
Very ignorant comment indeed. That is the way lions live and emotionally unstable humans have absolutely no right to interfere with WILD ANIMALS being exactly that.....WILD
El comportamiento del leon es impredicible.Muy valiente Con un cachorro. A una leona no le ataca a traicion🦁🦁🦁🦁

Please don't hate lions based on misunderstandings. Their actions, like infanticide, may seem harsh, but it's a survival strategy to protect their territory and genetic lineage. Education brings empathy, not hate. Let's appreciate lions' complex social dynamics.

When they finish feasting on half the Pride, will there be enough Lionesses to mate with? Do they want more Bad Karma than Coalition members? Numbers can dwindle quickly in the wild, even if it's by their choice or need to split. This sighting is like Poster for their Signature as Cub, and less popular Lioness Deleters. There are better Coalitions to follow.
😡😡😡😡😡
I have some questions
Why did the lion kill thst cub?
Why did the mother let it wander off by itself
Where did the lion carry the cub carcass to, and what for
It's about survival of the strongest and healthiest genes. This cub was likely the progeny of an old (previously dominant) male that was past his 'best by date'.
Like many human dads these days... he is nowhere to be seen (possibly chased off or already killed) and a better equipped male has taken the position to take the pride into the future. The redundant male lions usually have a very lonely and sad ending too. They get kicked out of the pride by the new male/s and left to fend for themselves till they die in a fight, or of old age.
The male killed the cub because it's from another lion and killing the cub brings the female back into heat so then he can have his own cubs.
did the cub die right there or it was killed in the bush/where the male lion took it to?
@@HungTran-tb1zy , pretty sure it died quickly with the powerful bite of the male. Likely broke its neck instantly.
This is horrible @@@@
Why did you watch it then, it was clear from the title what was going to happen
The lack of Empathy from the human race even though It’s Nature is freaking disturbing. People have a lot of Shadow Work.
Grow up
I don’t understand people who recorded it . They should try to scare this lion and save live this cub. But They didn’t do nothing just recording. They have responsibilities for death if this cub no matter if they want or not 😔
Are you serious? This is nature you clown. The cub was always going to die and it happens every day. These animals are not cuddly toys, get a f***** grip.
@@LauraWhittleXo don’t be to harsh. He’s probably still a kid 😅
You do realise that the male lion wants to get with the lioness and even if it wasn't that very day, it would have been the day after, or the day after that.
if people were to interfere constantly, it would disrupt the balance of nature. There'd be an overpopulation of lions, which would make food scarce for them and endanger the populations of all the animals they prey on.
shut up........nature isn't a disney fairy tale
