A student once asked the American anthropologist, Margaret Mead, what she considered to be the first evidence of civilisation. Mead answered that for her the first sign of civilisation is a healed femur (thigh bone). The healing of the thigh bone, which can take months when immobilised, means that someone must have hunted, provided shelter and gathered food for that person before the bone healed. It’s amazing, the decisions that animal parents make in the wilderness are decisions most people couldn’t even imagine doing to their children or families. The natural world can be a cruel and ruthless place, but at the end of the day, the mother did what she had to to ensure the survival of her cubs. I still love these animals and I don’t think that this is a good reason to dislike them. However that still doesn’t make it any less sad for the one that was left behind. (Also, Spoilers, I think it’s worth mentioning the cub makes it to adulthood, so that’s a major highlight👍🏾)

I disagree with this. This is not what I have seen, unfortunately.

This story made me cry a lot. my soul and my heart were torn apart. I was so hurt and sad that I found it hard to bear watching this video. this poor lion cub had nothing to do with it. it's not just what he suffered from his own mother . I love you baby angel lion cub , God bless you .
❤️😭
He slows down the family?? Lions sleep more than half the day WTF
Don't get emotional and relate it to humans, that's the animal world. No supermarkets or online ordering.
@Shina Gogue 弔 弓 弗 川 Ὀφιοῦχος Yet the mother still starved her cub for being injured and weaker than its siblings so the goofy quote is meaningless or you're using it out of context. Nature doesn't mold itself to our "soul." All that matters is survival and for lions there is no food to waste.
only if you watch on live safaris the moms are very social and have tried to encourage them to move so its weird to me that they are ignoring him if they are totally suffering then they will move along but they will still go check on them at first then move on

Yea but you can't put our human emotions on lions it's much deeper than our psychological human experiences can ever truly understand
Poor little baby.... he doesn't deserve to be rejected like that just because he's different.
😂😂😂 y’all are crazy. This is nature.
This was really heart breaking to watch
Watching the other cubs walk past him like he was invisible was really eerie
Somewhere his struggle to makes me remember of a great character of strength and perseverance from Hindu epic Mahabharata. 'Karn' abandoned my mother even though scenario was different, but that abandoned child grow up to be a king and famous archer. So don't know about future but to me ur are already a king little mate.
Kunti abondoned him for this stupid society which was sinful....as a punishment she was never given chance to cradle her first baby karn...for which her heart cried for years.....at last he died in front of her own eyes...giving her the most horrible pain any mother can bear and she lost the wish to live her life....
I already watch the whole video few times & still everytime I rewatch it I couldn't help to cry, its si heartbreaking 😭😭
This is so heartbreaking 😢
Poor cub I hope someone takes him in and nurtures him and keeps him in a nice place like a natural seeming zoo. Please help him ♥
Spoiler alert: no one does.
This is famous misfit story he just does not survive but also became leader of his pride
This cub is a true warrior
Call CPS on the mother lioness. Cub Protective Services.
"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." and you know the rest.
Unfortunately this will kill him.
True. But I suppose a diet of poison that could seriously damage our internal organ won't kill us but will surely weaken us for a life time. Thanks for my next caption. Your words are 99.9% true.
@@EnclosedPoolArea I'm sure he either starved to death or was killed by another animal.
That breaks my heart, oh I feel for this little bugger. Hope he ends up ok...
I don't know but im tearing while watching..
He grew up and became a King💪🏻💪🏻🔥🔥👑👑🦁🦁
compassion - thing that sets humans apart! never lose it! cherish it!
It's not compassion. Animals are compassionate. The difference is our goals in life. Animals are here to survive and populate their species to serve mankind Mankind is here to tend to God's creations and to serve God. We have two completely different purposes in this world.
That made me cry, poor CUB 😢
There's 5 parts...He survives!
That pretty sums up my childhood..
The lion kingdom is indeed a Savage World; there's no room or tolerance for the weak and feeble.

He's got courage. Never gives up. I pray he gets help. Poor guy. Oh no.
All in all, according to her, the evidence of compassion was the first sign of civilisation.
From "The Wire"
This club is amazing he took blue beat up by the teenage lions denied food from the mother and Aunt she also push him around and he still managed to track them down and they were nowhere in sight he is a true warrior parts of the story made you want to cry but every time she made it it made you jump up and yeah hooray for him I showed this to my grandchildren that's the moral to the story
He has spirit and that's all a male lion needs to continue following the lionesses and food will be provided
My heart physically hurts with how small he is. I am so happy we have evolved past the survival of the fittest. Imagine how many of us would not have survived past infancy or childhood.
We are in survival of the smartest.
Yeah but we're not lions. We're human beings. We have different struggles even though some may be similar.
@@45wasright43 We have different struggles -now- and only because we have pretty much cheated the system with our intelligence and generational knowledge. In the past though, we were effectively the same as any other animal and had the same struggles for survival. It’s actually kind of crazy to think about that.
Rightfully so... lots of wastes walking around
@@ineedhoez like you with that ridiculous moniker
Thats crazy how much a mother protects her cubs but soon as 1 injured they disown them just as fast as shed protect her cubs
Because an injured member of the pride, will only slow them down. Also, they cannot help their pride catch food and that makes them useless. And, they are not good candidates to carry on the species by reproducing. Only the strongest of the species shall survive.
This is why i don't get why ppl portray human emotions onto animals there very different
@@And1one757 both sides are very heartless

Pride.
Oh, the errors in this! :D Hopefully, all intentional (as I'm sure they were)!
Herd? *Herd???* >>> PRIDE
There is zero anyone, anywhere could do for that cub (if we ignore sci-fi and stay with reality) to give it a chance of whopping a single, healthy cub of a similar age. Let alone, the full pride.
Nice sentiment, all the same!
Sadly misfit is dead

@@vasilisspanulis306 I heard there a series about his story as a teenager.it on yt yet i saw a similar comment saying how it just another lion used as profit. So take it As u will
It’s amazing, the decisions that animal parents make in the wilderness are decisions most people couldn’t even imagine doing to their children or families.
It’s really an example, he didn’t give up and get accepted by his mother.
Yes he didn't. Hard luck.
My heart goes to misfit
So a poor cub, it is so very heartbreaking. So brutal. Why???😭😭😭😮😮❤❤❤🦁

It ends up good for him but the look in his eyes thats so painful idk how he made it. Love you Misfit 🧡
Good news this Misfit lion survives and beats odds of getting into the Adolescent age. Look at the recommended videos after this about him/her.
My outside cats did the same to one of their babys, because he was to aggressive when feeding and trying to not let his siblings drink milk too 🤣 then no one wanted him around.😌😃
Sharks are even more cruel. Sometimes, a mother shark will kill one or two her own babies (which are called pups, oddly) if they start fighting for food...
Wow they won't let him eat for a second 💔😭😭
So sad, heart breaking to see him battle along.
I know that he finally survived but how the heck did he manage that? Bravo
