+vic Jas I really admire the fact that the lioness choose not to go straight for the kill to certify the kill and have it be the least struggle possible, it was so sexy if you ask me. Look for when it shoots for the kill and when it doesn't... It doesn't sexually arouse me but intelligently i guess.
+vic Jas they always do, that's what makes them lions. I saw a film where a cape buffalo bull killed a lion cub, and it was trampled, mortally wounded, and the bull put his nose close to sniff it, and the cub bit it right on it's snout with it's last strength. The bull then stomped it some more and it was dead.
Too bad there's no way in finding out why or what triggered her. Maybe if scientists/researchers study her brain when she dies to see if she has any brain tumor or abnormalities to gain some insight. Or she's simply just a pyscho lioness as someone suggested. I wish someone (lion, lioness, rancher) would have stopped her....
I find it amusing how these people think that these animals are capable of human behavior. This is what distinguishes humans from animals. These people have a hard time understanding that.
Not to be a dick but seeing the number of wars, slaughters, massacres and genocides... Well... humans are kinda the same too. But that's even worse because we have the capacity to think about our actions so we should not do it...
+cnn8420 You do realize that there are many reports of people slaughtering their whole families around the world. We are also animals too, just more evolved.
At least she did it quick. I was watching another vid where the male lion was killing the cubs and he was all sloppy and shaking the cubs around like a poor lil rag doll lol. Ol inexperienced ass.
He went out fighting. What do you not understand about that statement? I didn't say that the cub hit, scratched, bit, or hurt the other animal. Going out fighting has more to do with heart, attitude, and mentality rather than how many points scored. But then again, I wouldn't expect anyone with your amount of brain cells to know that. Anyone who attacks a person for having an opinion HAS to be the true moron. Bye, bye troll.
At least they were taken very quickly with a swift neck breaking bite-we humans find this unsettling; but remember if you will, the amount of senseless murder there is among or _own_ species.
I think the cub knew that the mom was trying to kill it... Cause it turns around everything the mom turns making sure the mom doesn't attack.... Self defense is all I can say here...
I've never seen a lioness kill a cub but I noticed the one little cub being very aggressive toward her before she finally snagged it up,I don't know if it would have made any difference had the cub shown more submissiveness?I wonder if the lioness interpreted the aggressiveness of the cub as a sign that it was a threat somehow? IDK hard to watch though.
Sadly, nothing could have helped the cubs. That first one would have been killed no matter what it did. It was doing what it did (clawing, trying to roar) in a desperate attempt not to be killed by the lioness and hopefully scare it off but there was no chance of that, it was too small to threaten the lioness. The lioness was just waiting for the right opportunity to strike.
No offense but the guy that was with you seemed baffled by this when it's simply how they express dominance. A mother lion will rarely, and I mean rarely, raise a cub that is not her own, not from the male that impregnated her. These are 2 conflicting prides. It's similar to why a lot of animals will kill a mother's babies before impregnating her with their own babies. Just nature.
+Brandon G Not quite. It is kind of weird, considering they are two sub prides yet related to each other. The cubs' father is the same father of the cubs of the larger pride. And not only that, but it's common for lionesses to care for cubs regardless if they are the mothers or not. The narrator commented on how strange it was and even the other lions were a little confused by the lioness's behavior.
No, this is unusual because they still smell the genes of a relative. It's like aunt seeing a nephew and killing him. It has happened, for sure, but it's particularly barbaric. Plus she continued to do it- so she is a psychopath in our terms.
What's frightening are the comments of people that find empathy "annoying"... The Lions aren't monsters. Humans that can view this and feel nothing are the real monsters. Worse yet, are the ones that seem to express annoyance at the man that clearly has a heart in this video. Wouldn't it be absolutely enlightening if their children were murdered by lions and we told them, "get over it, it's nature. your crying is annoying."
+d314j4 a lions toung is like a Sandpaper, when it licks it's making it easier to eat. But there is diffrent with the licking. All lions lick before they bite to eat
+d314j4 i see lots of animals doing that. dont know what it is. our dogs aswell. they lick and smell a juicy bone or real piece of meat before they eat it. i guess its similar to us staring at our food before we eat it.
+d314j4 The licking part is actually to remove the fur from the skin. Lions actually have a very rough tongue like other predators. Its like a sand paper. It removes the fur from the skin before biting a hole onto skin to eat the flesh inside. You noticed that lioness was sniffing and making bitter face .. its because it finds the cub to be repulsive somehow ..something they detest. Its not something that they usually encounter and they are confused, they know that its not one of their own as the cubs smell different... the different smell of the cubs makes them very agitated !!! Therefore they just kill it .. only thing they know to do. They make the same type of bitter face when killing hyenas too. Their sworn enemy. Hyenas are repulsive to them as they kill their young cubs so they always kill hyenas as much as possible 'cos of what Hyenas can do to their pride. Just check other video clips and you will know what I mean ..
Why is the person filming acting like this is some evil act? This is purely about survival of the fittest and maintaining the dominant status of the first sub-pride. It's strictly about keeping her own family safe in the long run, nothing more.
sometimes (not common of course) a pride will have a sister that kills the cubs of her own pride. maybe jealous because it has never conceived or possibly mental issues.
Jeez, why give the prides all these weird, complicated names? Mwamba-Kapanda? Jabba Jamba? Kappa Kappa? Just call them something like, the Bob pride. That's much easier to say.
No record of killing cubs? this woman doesn't have a clue how many cubs get killed by, yes even females. as soon as you think you know everything about African wildlife you will be humbled. I have seen 4 male lions crack the spinal cord and eat both of a rival male lions rear legs before he was even dead. watching a beautiful male Lion die like that was 20 times harder to watch than this common occurrence. I love it when people say this has never been recorded. lol
The guy's like " oh nooo oh nooo please..." lol if u're not going to save the cub then shut up. Even though you guys are not meant to interfere with nature but aren't the lions slightly endangered? so why not just save the damn cub its for a greater good, a better surviving chance of their species and it's common sense! If humans don't interfere with nature there would be more animals of course but at the same time a lot more extinct.
When the second cub was alone I would of just picked it up and drove off as fast as possible, I don't know how people have a heart to just sit there and film such a thing and talk about while its happening.
+willi jones What did you expect them to do? You saw how the lion cub was acting towards the lioness. You think it would just become docile for humans? And if they did somehow catch it, then what?
There is no way in hell that I could've stood by and let this happen. I realize it's 'nature', but if I could prevent tragedy, I would do it in a heartbeat!!
I like that the first cub is attacking the Lioness with his front paw, it tries to hit her,
that's so great, at least it died like a lion, fighting.
+vic Jas I really admire the fact that the lioness choose not to go straight for the kill to certify the kill and have it be the least struggle possible, it was so sexy if you ask me. joseph quezada
take some treatment for your paranoid

Nature is NOT a Fairy Tale.
until now i thought that only male lions kill cubs
Are we going to talk about the cub that just crawled out of that buffalo's stomach?
poor little cubs. Especially the little brave one that put up a fight.
r.i.p. brave little one you fought till the end
Lil bugger put up a fight tho.
Why does the second cub just sit there and chill and wait till death why just not run
didnt know lions eat their own kind....
Female lions can be so cruel. So can males. At least we know both can be so cruel just like humans.
nature bitch.
Unlike humans, they don't do it just to be mean...
This dude totally gets it
She appears to have been not right in her head- as they stated this is very unusual behaviour. She's like that one psychopath out of 10.
The buffalo gave birth to a lion
People raised in a bubble with only Disney to "teach" them anything about animals sure are in shock when they see reality instead of fairy-tales.
I find it amusing how these people think that these animals are capable of human behavior. This is what distinguishes humans from animals. These people have a hard time understanding that.
***** Do you have a need for quantum physics? How small are you?
***** Yea that's about it.
Not to be a dick but seeing the number of wars, slaughters, massacres and genocides... Well... humans are kinda the same too.

where is the mother of the cubs?
ooooohhhhh nooooooooo, oooohhhhhhh noooooooooo, Goooooooooooood pleeeeeeeeeaaase ooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh nooooooooooooo, noooooooooooo pleeeeeeeeease Gooooood
Least the little cub went out fighting :-)

Little guys at least went down snarling.
Self defense is all I can say here...
ohh noooo
the guy's distress in the background makes it even sadder :(

Alex F Nature can very cruel,I guess. You probably right.
It was attacking because i think the lioness was going for the cubs behind.
She probably was proud of the little cub fighting back. Like a true lion. The other cub seemed a bit clueless or unaware. Super cute though
+Mapogo606 it probably could sense what was going to happen and was trying to defend itself IDK
I've heard that some are killed because there isn't much food to provide for the cubs, so the lioness kills them.
No offense but the guy that was with you seemed baffled by this when it's simply how they express dominance. +Brandon G I'm guessing he did it for the tourists benefit.
No, this is unusual because they still smell the genes of a relative. It's like aunt seeing a nephew and killing him. It has happened, for sure, but it's particularly barbaric. Plus she continued to do it- so she is a psychopath in our terms.
I'm confused. Did you watch the video doedelzak? It literally states that they are related and interactions have occurred between them.
What's frightening are the comments of people that find empathy "annoying"... The Lions aren't monsters. Humans that can view this and feel nothing are the real monsters. Why are they killing them ?
This is the one of the saddest videos i have ever seen.
Why is it even happening in the first place?
I know stuff like this happens EVERYDAY, but it still makes me cry everytime I see these :(
Sad but amazing video, Thank you for the clear narration
I dont understand...lionesses defend their cubs fiercely even against males.... why did they leave behind their cubs ???
bad mommas !!!! :(((
sad as fuck but remember the cubs are not from the same pride. Poor thing didnt stand a chance
if you're going to be filming, I think we speak for most, we can do without the "oh no"
Crazy. It's cruel but it's also adorable how the cub fights back! And the clueless little cub was cute too
That poor guy in the background just pleading......
Why did she kill the cubs sister?
1:14 thats not a beautifull sighting...
Cruelty in nature has no bounds
Where was the mother of poor cubs, why she didn't defend them?
swift kill, but still, it s hard to watch.
That was horrible... can anyone explain the behaviour of licking/sniffing the bodies before eating them?! i didnt get that...
+d314j4 a lions toung is like a Sandpaper, when it licks it's making it easier to eat. But there is diffrent with the licking. All lions lick before they bite to eat

Lone Wolf Oh cool, thanks for explaining that! That was nice of you to take the time to write that, thanks :)
Why didn't the male defend it's cubs?
Gemma from sons of anarchy
That killer lioness should be named Medea.
LIONbalism.
Jeez, why give the prides all these weird, complicated names? Mwamba-Kapanda? Jabba Jamba? Kappa Kappa? Just call them something like, the Bob pride. That's much easier to say.
it's sad but I guess that's just how the wild works
in Kenya the guides with have tried to save them.. going in between with the cars. Lions are to precious.
So why do they do this? I get why a male one does it, but why opposite groups? They gain nothing from it?

male lion don't care about that cubs killed?
why did they kill the cubs
nice ominous tone to the background track.
Reality may be unsuitable for viewers. Ugh.
but why
This was very sad, very, very, amazing. I would reccomend this to a lot of people. I was very teary eyed during this. ;)
i cant see the video its too sad for me : (
5:56
Great video. Annoying commentary. Thanks for sharing.
cannibalism??
LOOKS THE VOLTURES.WAITING WAITING.
kabus mama left pride what was one reason.,I THINK.
What do you mean by then what? Obviously, you bring the cub back to it's pride.
+willi jones You would become their lunch before reaching back to the door.
+willi jones i would do the same
6:52 Lol ... The lion whisperer.
WHAT HAPPENED!!!!????
I know this is "NATURE" but those poeple could do something about those cubs.Nowday every lion is important....
I understand this nature and your not really supposed to mess with it, but... SCREW NATURE'S RULES you could have saved the second cub >:|
i just want there where the cubs on dingerous help
ohhh no , ohhhh no ohhh you messed the video with your voice ...
humans have done much worse. animals like a dog , cat , squirrel etc. really
i feel so bad for that cub the mom should not do the becauese it was a baby
Francesca Joseph i thank she killd it beacause it was bothering her
I dont care about protocols, I would've done my best to save the cubs.
Seems strange to me ?
This is so sad
Its funny how abusive their parents is.
That's Sooooooo Sad:( Leave It Live:(
Damn nature you scary!
Stop haha "family guy" too funny

PEOPLE ARE SOFT...
There is no way in hell that I could've stood by and let this happen. I realize it's 'nature', but if I could prevent tragedy, I would do it in a heartbeat!!
has to be 1080p to didnt it lol
At least it was just two cubs and not the whole litter.
Wat the f** is the camera person watching
😥 it's so sad
so sad tears
Great video of nature
Jafar killed simba
Aw man..
No ,don't this kills lion BB
save the cubs damn
How could y'all see that and just let them die y'all could of help the Cubs
It's difficult for us as human beings to watch such scenes. But often we can do more harm than good by interfering.
you should never ever do that with nature.
Go play legos dumb kid
I'm hungry now
Didn't like the narration. What the lioness is doing is natural, necessary, and justified.
she thought the cub was challenging her......hence she needed to show her power.....
+Sly Hsu What about the other cub, though? It was being quite submissive.
+Sly Hsu Actualy Cub realized he is going to die...Thats why he attacked her.
It's funny. The fact that his ass was just waiting in a car, he could of scared them off by driving towards them. Boom! Baby stays alive.
