Thanks for taking the time to show the process. I wish you were replacing the crankshaft though...that's what I have to fix tomorrow on my Model 30 15T.

Hello i have a technical question and would greatly appreciate if someone could help. My question is i have a ingersoll rand 15t2 compressor and want to know how the air is unloaded once stopped does it unload the air back into the top of air inlet cylinder as when it does stop i can hear a air coming out and than stops after a few seconds i know the 2 stage type 30 has unloader on crank case and can be heard when air comes out and just need to know how this is achieved on this one thanks
if the gasket is broken or cracked, If you are going to remove a head that had been together for a long time (years) then replace the gaskets. The only way I would reuse a gasket is if the gasket was less than 1 year old and not broken.
Thanks for giving precious time and knowledge 😊
you give great tips and know your engineering. Great video.......keep them coming

Mickey McNicholas if you could post a video, to replace the crank, that would be fantastic! Ken

hi does the unloder valve deplete the air in the top of the cylinder head on these rather than on crank cover as how the old 2 stage one was?
xjs2 I don't know. the one I worked on did not have the unloader valve.

xjs2 I would be guessing if I gave an answer. I don't work on air compressors that much.
