There is an error happened in this video. US gallon is different from the British gallon that we usually use. 1 US gallon = 3.79 liters. Then 1 liter petrol prize in Indian rupees will be Rs 77.35. Thank you for pointing out this difference

I'm a certified public accountant (cpa USA) working in bangalore in one of the big four firms. I earn a 6 figure salary (monthly) and pay 30% direct tax, 30-50% indirect tax, Do i get any benefits after paying this amount of tax? The answer is no. The benefits are zero.
On the other hand, My friend in Luxembourg (europe) earns 10 x more than me with the same qualifications and he pays somewhat the same amount of tax. In return he gets health care benefits, great infrastructure, free education, better environment, high standard of living conditions and a great work life balance (this stuff is serious).
Still staying in India and hoping for a better future doesn't make any sense
Because it's not gonna happen any time soon. If one has the right qualifications and skills, he/she should move abroad for the purpose of betterment.

You are not just paying the tax for yourself but to the millions of non tax paying poor citizens. If more Indians were capable of paying the tax like you do, then you will also get better benefits. You can either count your blessings for being a rich guy in India or you can feel bitter about being the small percentage of people who pay the tax
@@PunkJackson The so called poor citizens earns more than a corporate guy, buy selling a chai Or panipuri on streets and pay zero tax. The most joking part is that the govt considers these guys as poor. In reality these poor people earn more than average govt employees.
100% TRUE...The argument ppl have is the tax is used for millions of poor Indians...if 100 rs is taken as tax only 10 rs go to the poor..the rest go to politicianseven if more citizens pay tax the flow of money to the bottom will still be the same. Also the quality of products decrease because of rising taxes...check the quality of cars, grocery etc in India vs abroad...night and day difference.

A good, informative video. Thank you. I think it’s the mechanism used to collect the taxes is the real difference. No one wanted to pay taxes irrespective of Europe or Asia. I have seen many people try not to pay taxes by getting the job done by ‘cash in hand’ which eludes the tax system. I am no different. In India, the governments are improving their tax collection mechanism day by day but I think they still fail to improve the quality of its citizens well being. Fingers crossed, hope for the best.

Very insightful video on the US taxes.! Some pointers I'd like to mention in comparison to India. Here many businesses mostly evade taxes. From my personal experience, they hate to give proper GST bills. So whatever we pay is still unaccounted for in the taxation system. This actually is a way in which black money is created. So just imagine the scale at which indirect tax collection is affected in India (better not to mention the meagre direct tax collection at about 5%). I'm sure in the US there's a better way to ensure that the citizens pay their taxes rightly. Also I believe people are proud of paying taxes for the quality service that they receive from the govt. In contrast I think in India where tax money is wasted in many unnecessary public expenses (write offs, capital infusion to unproductive govt companies etc), the public thinks it's better not to pay. Also another thinking might be that, what benefits are we getting in return. Lots of subsidies given and unnecessary reservations in the employment sector where tax money is spent. Curious to know how the politicians are held accountable there. Maybe a good topic for your next video.✌️

Bro, we have taxes in India too. But only govt, corporate employees, and professionals who earn digital money pays it. Tax is 30% above 15 lakhs or 18000 USD (and that's annual) so tax here is always more than the USA.

Tax is America is comparatively lower than India . India income tax rate is 30% for income above 15L.. on top of this there are Cess and usually the tax rate goes up to 35% if you earn 25L accounted money like salary . Also GST is up to 28% for most of the items and services. Another major difference is in India individual income is taxed . In USA there are options to file as family and tax rate can be much lower if the spouse is not earning income .
Tax rate is 30% for the value above 15 lakhs ie if annual income is 18 lakh you have to pay 30% of 3 lakhs. 18 -15 = 3, for this 3 lakh you have to pay 30% .
For example annual income of 18 lakh is taxed in parts- 2.5 to 5 lakh- 5% , so tax is 12,500Rs
5 to 7.5 lakh- 10%, so tax is 25,000Rs
7.5 to 10 lakh- 15% , so tax is 37500Rs
10 to 12.5 lakh- 20%, so tax is 50,000
12.5 to 15lakh - 25%, so tax is 62,500rs
15 to 18 lakh- 30%, so tax is 90,000rs
Total tax will be 12,500+ 25,000+ 37,500+50000+62500+90000= 2,77,500Rs is the annual tax. Which is approximately just 15% of 18 lakh.
