The last dialogue is very true. But that's the case even if you move bit far from home even within Kerala or to any states within India. Also, for this reason I wouldn't prefer to live in less urban areas outside Kerala/India where you won't be welcomed easily among locals.
Assuming I don't have much personal commitments and have similar opportunities within Kerala, outside Kerala and abroad, I would choose Kerala. However if I have to move outside Kerala, probably I will choose to live in UK/Germany, Australia, Dubai or US (in order) than living outside Kerala. US is last in the list since it is quite far in case of a quick travel back home.
End of the day it's all about living a happy life where ever you live.

Super presentation of the exact reality of an immigrant. But its true that after spending some years abroad its extremely hard to stand the extrem hot and humid weather in Kerala and you feel like don't want to spend not more than 2 months maximum in Kerala. Also personally I miss verity of fresh fruits and other healthy foods available abroad though I really crave for the variety of vegetables in Kerala. Staying abroad and Kerala has its own positive side and negative side.

Recently, I visited USA for the first time. It was really excitement at first sight. So neat and clean and looked like all are well off and happy. Tears welled up my eyes, thinking why my country is not like this. Why we should continue to live in poverty. Our politicians and persons in high offices and rich people visit the places so often and enjoy but do nothing to improve the life of fellow countrymen. Our cousins in NJ and Atlanta who have been there for 35 years. Now with big cars, palatial house and no dearth of luxury. Still they say nothing like India where they feel that nothing like being in India in spite of all luxuries. They are unhappy about the way their children follow western way of life sarcastic about the Indian values etc. Materialistic life is not going to keep you happy as one could see in the US society. We need to have a proper blend of American way as far as their discipline, attitude towards work, (nothing is free there unlike our country pachakkari medichal malliyum, karivrppilayum free ayi kittilla, you have to pay) and our value system We Malayalees for that matter Indians should not forget about their roots once they have made a good money and life style.
At the end of the day, you know like, one moment you are gliding along, the next moment you are standing in the rain watching your life fall apart. Then we'll realize, it's all about happiness that matters, nothing else......!
India has 3 times population than US, to do something, we have to change first in India...
Unless and until we stop allowing religion to involve in politics we can never ever dream to reach the level of US
