I definitely see the pit and dachshund in appearance, and behavior, that you would only recognize if you had one!
Hank has the head, personality and body of a pittie/Bully, fur/moustache of a Schnauzer, and sploot of a corgie, and I think that explains what Hank is pretty well
Hank has more personality than most people I know 😀, what an amazing utterly lovable dog, my fave geobeats so far. The more dogs I see like this the more I believe in reincarnation, I'm almost convinced people come back as dogs.

If I had Hank, the subject of kisses would be a big problem because I wouldn't have been able to stop myself - he's too adorable! I don't have the strength and discipline to refrain faced with someone so precious. Sorry Hank.
It’s so sad 😩😭 I bet the kisses issue was related to the kids 😒 I bet he was with a family who had kids, and the kids were really rough (and the parents did nothing about it). I wonder if they were “kissing” him all the time and hurting him, but if he barked or moved away, they hurt him more. That would explain why he doesn’t like humans kissing HIM, but the other way around is fine. I had a rescue dog that was scared of kids too for that same reason: she was seriously mistreated and the kids were allowed to hurt her. She became the most beautiful loving baby after we got her settled with us 💗🥰 However, the one behaviour that stuck was licking: she NEVER licked humans. At all. Ever. Even when taking food from your hands, she was soooo careful not to lick you if she could help it 😭 Our vet thought it must be because she was punished and hurt if she licked her old owners 😢 People are evil.

My Scooby was trained to kiss people who came to see him in the shelter so he would be adopted. He was, and was also returned 5 times because he was a very active greyhound mix. A friend of mine had adopted him for her father, and after two weeks, her father passed away and she was going to return him to the shelter because she was in a condo and wasn’t allowed to have him there; I put my foot down and said absolutely not, and Scooby came to live with me. He absolutely refused to give me any kisses for the majority of his life, until he was 16 years old. And that was two years before he passed away. I was so excited when I got my first kiss from him!!!

How wonderful it is that you and Hank found each other. Is a shame that he can’t be around children, but I’m so glad that you realize this and just except Hank the way he is without exposing any children to possible harm. It’s hard because Hanks has such an incredible personality, but obviously something happened in his past with children. I just love hearing stories like this where the rescue is matched with a parent that accepts the rescue exactly the way they are, even those that are wounded. This fabulous dog found the perfect home. What a beautiful story!
Simply put, Hank is fabulous. Laughed out loud towards end of video when his Mom made kissing noise causing him to bark but moments later he started kissing his Mom's face.
He is a beauty, has great personality & traits. EVERY dog is special! I just wish they all got lucky to get out of a shelter and given a chance to blossom like Hank.

Hank is awesome adorable packed with personality! I can relate to not really caring that much about his breed. When people ask what my Leo is I say “not real sure - maybe a maltipoo?” He’s healthy and that’s all I care about. Someone said maybe a coton de tulier, maybe a poodle/bichon. Whatever right? Hank’s like that - totally unique and loads of laughs. 🐾

he does have somewhat large ears, but shouldn't he have larger ears than that if he got legs that short from basset hound genetics? well, I don't know how dominant or recessive the giant ears are, and I'm pretty sure that the short legs of various breeds are a specific form of dwarfism that's either not expressed or expressed 100%. I wouldn't exclude the possibility of a dachshund cross, crosses between small and large dogs do exist (with the mother being the big one). I've seen a german shepherd-dachshund cross that looked like an almost full size german sheperd but with dachshund leg proportions like hank.
Those big bones in his legs and feet, the comic personality and the attitude are definitely Basset Hound and the long ears are usually lost in a Basset mix.
Oh no! Hank is the most glorious little loaf and I love him and his lovely mama! When he sits up on his cushion on the couch waiting for his lady to make an appearance it warmed my heart and made me laugh and laugh! And little Gunther is just a precious bundle - and I'm glad they have a wonderful Grandma to shower love on them also 😊😊
Yes, he's like the sweet, grumpish, adorable, loveable, watchful,romantic,perfect man of the house. I feel the same about all the rescued ,I wish i could take them all, I live in a small apt. now ,so unless I come into some unexpected land someone forgot to give me, I don't know. Some dogs are such characters who cares what breed they are just love them for who they are comic's, athletes or couch potatoes they are who they ate abd that's what makes each unique and lovable. Love Hank and so glad he found a great home.
To me Hank looks as if he's a mix of a pointer/corgi. I think it's hilarious how it's ok for him to give kisses but his human isn't allowed to do it to him. 😂🤪🤣💋🐶
