As a little kid it took me almost a full year of begging multiple times a day, every day, to convince my dad to let me have a cat. After getting me one i would hear him cooing "aw princess! Are you shredding daddies chair? Thats okay, i love you" as she scratched the back of his expensive (for us) computer chair. XD
That's like saying just because a parent didn't want another child and then they accidentally got a child that they're just supposed to treat the child like s*** because well I told you I didn't want it.

He was absolutely supposed to treat my cat like his own darling grandbaby, it just seemed sadly more likely he would just ignore her. Im so happy he did end up treating her like royalty! Family or not i would hate ANYONE who treated my snuggly sweetie badly... or ANY cat for that matter. Happily, years later he even went way out of his way to help me protect and get help for a feral mama cat i met and befriended! He had just never spent any time around cats and genuinely didnt realize he is a cat person
I begged for 6 years because my father was strictly against pets and then I finally got my first cat and of course he was her favourite person immediately and would always beg him to let her on his shoulder and then she would lie around his neck like a scarf and he would just walk around with her like that. It was so unfair.
My aunt never liked cats all of her life. Then one day I went to her house and to my surprise not only did she have a cat but she had four of them that she brought into the house. It took her 80 years to finally like cats, but going from 0 to 4 was unbelievable especially since they were stray cats that had taken up residence in her backyard. Personally I rescued nine abandoned cats in my neighborhood.
I had a therapist tell me that men who love cats make better husbands/partners. My husband is a cat person but he has learned to love dogs through me. I learned to love cats through him. I want a cat so much but my granddaughter is so allergic. It kills me though. So many wonderful cats are put down especially in the country.
I know this video was meant to be very wholesome and bright but it made me very emotional. These precious creatures bring out the little boys in these men and give them another chance to love something outside of themselves and their other loved ones. Cats are the definition of “loved ones” too and I’m grateful for their existence ❤

I don't like cats. There, I said it. Just don't tell my cats. I don't wanna upset Betty, Bertha, or Fluffernickel. They're under the assumption I love them cause I treat them like queens. I like to keep me felis catuses wondering if I actually care about them. Sure, I give treats to them on a regular basis, play with them, and allow them to pin me down via lap, but I can't have these cute and cuddly fur balls thinking I love them. Ok, I'm done with the sarcasm, give me kitties.

Yeah, add my hubs to the list of guys who didn't want a cat. He grew up on a farm, and animals were for work purposes. He never had a pet, not even a dog. Said he'd move out if I ever got one. He finally relented and learned what a joy it is to have one in the house. Oh yeah... folks... please don't knock some of these guys for how they might be petting or handling the cats. They really don't quite know how to deal at first. It takes them a while and cats are pretty good at letting them know what they like and what they don't.
We had one for 13 years he died of cancer then a mom cat with 4 kitens 2 went to good homes which left 3 we miss them temibly, the last one died 3 years ago. I am nearly 85, too old to have anymore and the heartbrake that goes with losing them. Wonderful video tho could not stop smiling:)

I’m 79 and left my will to anyone who loves these two angels and takes care of them when I’m gone. Must have them living with them at least one year before e they get a penny and prove they love cats and any animal really, but these two were homeless I never want them to be without a home again, If I die and the cats have passed before me then my will goes to a none kill cats rescue.
My sweet boy would greet me when I came home, followed me outside, snuggled with me on the couch or in bed, would come when I whistled, rubbed against my ankles, bonked me, talked to me, and purred incessantly.

I have four 4️⃣ 😂and recently I got an older grand cat. 🐈⬛ each cat is very different in personality. I have created personal beds for them throughout my house and bedroom. So most dads have no choice but to take care of it and as hes the only one showing the cat any affection and they bond with the dad. Dad wasn't against cats he was against having to do all the work
I didn't want a cat because I didn't want the responsibility and medical bills... my mom started travelling and basically gave me two cats on the condition she pays their medical bills... win-win.
When our cat died i didn't want to get another, but my wife did, so we compromised and immediately got two new cats. She's now on holiday with the family whilst I'm at home looking after two new cats.
