I love my GT Pro. I've only had it for a couple weeks and unfortunately I've already popped the rear tire.. I have no experience working on scooters but I watched some videos and was able to get the rear wheel off and that's kind of about it so far. How was your time doing it and is putting the wheel back in it's place difficult? I would really like to start riding again lol.
It really was a total chore. Do yourself a favor and get metal tire levers. The 12" long kind. Lube up the tire with dish soap a bit around the bead and really don't be afraid to just fully muscle that thing on there. It took me a while to get it done by myself but I'm pretty sure it two people it wouldn't be that difficult. You just need someone to hold on the bead that you've already mounted so you can work on the other side without the first one slipping off.
I looked at the Solar FF Black edition in comparison to the others in this class and its big downside to me is tubed tires instead of the nicer tubeless tires on most of the others (self-healing in the case of the WKGT/GTR). It also uses physical buttons and switches for everything and the display is merely just a display with no actual "software" to speak of. Speed modes (3 of them), single/dual motor, etc. are all separate switches. That does make it easier to switch quickly if you want, though. The Solar does have a bigger battery, though.
@@KevinPassino sound like u are complaining. Tubeless tires still can get a flat. Too me it is still a great scooter to buy. Most scooters let u switch between dual or one motor.
@@GingerOnWheels I think I read voro wrong, thats when it collapsed. I'm interested in the gt pro, just think the bar height might be a little low. Can i add a 1 or 2 inch riser ?
GTPro. Best bang for the buck scooter! Speed, range, acceleration. You can take it anywhere you would take the GTR. Yes, even off road. The GTR is way too high, almost gimmicky. The Pro’s deck height is 8 inches, more than enough to take off roading. The GTR, is heavier, smaller battery, controller sucks more juice, faster sure, BUT because of all that I mentioned, less range, a lot less than the PRO. So, if you’re not gonna go 65 mph consistently (who does?) Just get the Pro and use the money you save ($800) for spare parts down the road. Tires, brakes pads, safety gears, etc. The only downside I can say about the Pro is the tire change and the non adjustable suspension. The GTR wins in that category but it’s not like you’ll be adjusting the suspension everytime anyway. You just set it, then forget it.
I have a GTP and agree with everything, one big plus for the GTR though is it has different controllers. And I've seen nobody complain about power surges like on the GTP. Not all GTP owners experience them, but I do. To say they suck is an understatement, and even after almost a year of owning it and knowing they happen, I'm still not used to it when I get one. It's kinda like the canned biscuits I know it's going to pop but it still gets me every time. lol Only difference with this is, it doesn't happen every time and is totally random. And it can possibly lead to a crash. When you're in mode 2 and it takes off like mode 5 it's unsettling. The surges really really suck, aside from that it's a damn sweet scooter.
@@CastorTroy30 both are off, I’ve tried everything I could find online to fix this. The only way I can ride for sure without the surges is to be in single motor mode.
Kaabo support is pretty bad. That's why you buy it from VoroMotors. Then your support is through them and in my experience it's pretty good. They've never let me down, but sometimes can be slow to reply. Voro is also one of the few retailers with an actual phone number though so if it's really urgent you can always just call them. I've got a link and a coupon code in the description of this video so you can buy through them instead of directly from Kaabo
I’m sorry, but I can’t see how any scooter is “better suited for off-roading” when the brake disc is so close to the ground regardless of deck height, the idea that these super expensive means of transportation are meant to go where dirt and mountain bikes go is a fantasy at best, the wear an tear on components rises exponentially going off of pavement with any of these vehicles as well. Just get a dirt bike if you want to go off road. I noticed where you live has a lot of bike paths and lanes for bikes and Evs on the main drags, people in other areas of the country have less infrastructure to support scooter commuting so the scooters have to be robust to meet the challenges of a daily work commute. The off road thing just seems like a bad idea because there is too much to service on these scooters and you have to do most yourself. Best to stay on the road and avoid tearing the thing up and having it sit in the corner waiting for parts and you to have time to make the repair.
I prefer this over the GTR for one Main reason, 2 50 AMP controllers VS 1 100 AMP controller! If your 100 AMP controller goes while on a ride you better call an UBER!
Honestly I regret selling my GTR(money reasons), it was such a great comfy scooter the only reason I went for it instead of the GT Pro(and why you should spend the extra too imo) is for the removable battery being able to charge it outside(and store in a fireproof bag) is such a huge peace of mind to prevent fires
It's very unwieldy if you're the type that takes your scooter into every store you go. I could do that fine with my Ninebot Max, but this is not ideal if you're against locking it up while you go shopping. I could push it around Ralphs (Krogers) but it would be a pain. I don't think you could manage to get it around anything the size of a 7-11. You could kickstand inside the front of the store, but it's so big in a small store owners will probably tell you to leave it outside. Also if you need to take it with you on the bus or a train it wouldn't work. Now as far as the actual commute, it's an incredible scooter. I ride mine about 70 miles a week and love it. I only have to charge it once a week which is a big plus. I had to charge my Ninebot every 2 days.
I own a car, I owned two motorcycles, I only ride scooters and EUCs now unless I'm carrying cargo. No gas, no insurance, no tabs, no traffic. It's different for everyone, but I chose PEVs every time.

If only the GTR had a 40ah battery and a faster charge.
Not for the GTR but I have a nice fast charger for my GT that I had got from alien rides. It charges mine to full in like 3 and a half hours.
