@@panamachele7373 this plane had stairs, but Maybe another airline going to Siargao doesn't have stairs. Or There are longer ferries overnight that might go to Siargao. It depends on where you're coming from. And there are plenty of massages all around the towns if you don't make it out to that specific beach!

If you want to get away from the crowds on Alona beach area you can go to Doljo beach or Oceanica resort (you don’t have to be a guest to visit the beach). Anda, Bohol is a great beach town if you want quiet, but it’s a few hour drive, so you’d want to stay a couple nights if you make the drive. And it’s an Easy ferry to Siquijor!

I went there 2 twice already. Siargao was a very nice beach. Our family will always go back there. People are not taking advantage of the tourist. The government told their local that they should not take advantage when it comes to prices, so the tourist will always come back.

How about going to Caminguin island? From Siargao, go to Surigao city, then take a bus or any transport to Balingoan port in Misamis Oriental, then take a ferry going to Camiguin island, about 1 hour only. There a lot do do in Camiguin.

And speaking of tip, that was a nice one you gave to the taxi driver in Cebu. I gave a 200 peso tip once (for great service) and the driver's response was "oh wow!" Amping! 👍
oh I actually paid for the checked bag online in advance, I was just showing that it didn't fit as a demonstration of what you could bring and saying I saw that weight limit online before, so I decided to pack two bags. Surigao del Norte in general is an interesting gem in the Philippines. It's definitely a nice adventure and it's MUCH cheaper than other places. Butuan is in Agusan Del Norte, not a real touristy place. But it's a cheap airport to fly into from Manila or Cebu, and you can get a ride to Surigao which has ferry service to Dinagat Islands and Siargao. Visit the area before it changes. In Surigao Del Sur you should visit Cagwait white beach, it's not very busy and it's crazy how nice it is without be despoiled by tourism.

I highly recommend a leg massage while traveling. As everyone knows, there's a lot of walking in terminals when you travel. Just before I was going to have several legs of flights, I got a leg massage at SM City Mall in Cebu. It cost me 300 pesos for 30 minutes which is like $5. It sure helped when I had to walk through the remaining terminals on the trip home.
Just curious if you've tried Arroz Caldo? If not, I highly recommend it. Better if it's served with hard boiled egg. 😋 You can also ask Ann to cook it.
