Yes and tastes sour and acidity, best eaten with salt or when pickled. Personally, I'd pick that last if there are a hundred different fruits to choose from. 😝

Since jackfruit is huge it doesn't grow on the top of the tree. The fruit grows at the lower part of the tree. It's covered with a soft sack to protect the fruit from pests. Until it's ready to be cut off from the tree. If you plant jackfruit at least 5 years it will have fruits.

When consuming a ripe Jackfruit, it is important to tear it apart to discard the seeds and the soft outer covering (brownish). One should only eat the soft outer meat covering (yellow). The brownish fruit known as Santol is also called Cotton Fruit or Wild Mangosteen. It has a sour taste due to the thick soft flesh, and the seeds should not be eaten. The soft flesh of Santol can also be cooked.

Thanks for sharing your experience of Siargao . I miss the fruits there. I especially loved the Sineguelas, or Spanish Plums, that are on the fruit stand. Maybe next time you are buying fruits, try anything that you haven't tried before ( but as a traveller, I think you might have tried all of them). Some are good by itself while others are eaten with salt.
This is favorite island thus far!! It is so naturally beautiful and LOVE how largely undeveloped it is. When we visited in June from Cali, we stayed in the heart of BGC, a beachfront Boracay resort, and a new beachfront, boutique hotel in Siargao. Stayed in El Nido beachfront resort that served the best Filipino breakfast a few years ago as well. Can you tell how much I love the beach?! 😂 Wish I had more time in Siargao, it is so easy to escape Tourism Road when you want to, and just enjoy nature 😊
Yeah adjusting those settings can improve it, but the quality is still poor at night in comparison to daytime filming. Most of us avoid filming at night for that reason

Honda ADV? Hondas have been super reliable for me for dirt bikes and motorbikes throughout my life. The large size bikes are more comfortable on the long rides, for just cruising around town I don’t mind the cheaper, smaller ones. I’ve rented some new Hondas but I don’t know the model names. I rented one recently with a charging port which is great great on a long trip also. if you know you’ll stay long term buying is cheaper.
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL I'll be living in Bohol starting July 15th. Give me a hollar after I get settled in a bit and I'll let you take my ADV for a decent long test drive. It will have a $15 flyball upgrade on it, so it will have a bit less MPG than a normal ADV, but a good bit more power.
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL My favorite Honda was a black 1998 1100 Shadow Spirit with Vance and Hines pipes. It had a rebuilt title. Nothing on it said Honda. I'd pull into a biker bar parking lot and the girls would say "Beautiful Harley!". The Harley riders were not happy :)
Cool video. I live in Mindanao island too (Iligan City) Never been to Siargao. Ayo-ayoo, Jonathan🤘🏼
We have been contemplating in buying our next property to open an air bnb. First pick is Bohol (close to panglao) 2nd is Siargao, since you have been in both- which one do you think can get more potential guests? Fingers crossed you read this 😖
