I enjoyed the tour. You should do more like these.
What in particular did you like about this one? Good to know for future episodes 👍👍
Awesome! 👍🏻
😌☺️
Finally another young woman who’s got an interest in railways
@@harrisonallen651 ☺️☺️👍
And now I am motivated, at just before 10pm, to go back out to my train room, located in a building in the back yard which did not have a light in it until a few hours ago, to do more work of completing a rebuild of the campground scene on my American Flyer S gauge layout. Thank you for taking us to this train store.
@@MarkWick ☺️ Love a good campground scene! Thank you for your comment, and enjoy wrapping up your new creation!
Good stuff!
@@ThruHiker08 Thanks!
Even had a shot of Mr Murphy in there. Loved the vid.....
Stopped there when I was in LA last year. Awesome place!! They were so nice! I purchased a new Lionel locomotive and they waited to ship it home for me until later in the week so I would be home to get it. Great video!
@@Keiths_OGauge_Trains Thanks so much, Keith, and I appreciated your anecdote ☺️
Model Railroading is the best hobby ever. I love going to the Train Shack, whenever I'm in the valley, you don't see stores like this anymore.
Do you have any other train related favorite spots in CA?
@@LisaKEntertainment sure!, The famous Tehachapi Loop!, and the San Diego model railroad museum ,which has a massive HO scale model layout of the Tehachapi loop, go see either one! Amazing part of California rail history.
@@NarbonneGauchoBoingo Thanks! I went to Tehachapi many years ago, but need to go back for that. And my dad has a new customer who is in the club in Balboa Park, so was thinking San Diego needed to be on the list.
Keep it up Lisa. Your channel is going to have a blossoming future. Wishing everyone in the USA a wonderful celebration. Happy United States of America Day to all!
@@mitchellgloss6365 my gosh, thank you so much for your supportive words.
Loved it, Lisa!
So glad!
My husband and i became customers last year and we loved their customer service they are so helpful and patient with us,overall we just keep coming back,it's a lovely store so much to look but no touching, it's fun time in this train store,we are not local we have to drive about 45 to a 60 depending the traffic on the 210 but it's all worth it,we like the prices they have on used trains and on the new ones has well, make sure to give them your email so they may send you deals to come like this 4 of july.
Just come on in and explore the store and let the kid inside of you have fun.
How nice to see you that afternoon, and for those who’ve never met Lisa, she’s just like what you see. Great coverage Lisa and a wonderful edit.👌🏽
Aww, Ken. Thank you for all you wrote - and for sharing your stories on-camera! I loved the father / daughter theme of this episode... and got a kick of all you bought, in addition to the tires you came for lol : )
I LOVE this video ❤
@@SharonEdds I’m so happy to hear that! Thanks for watching week after week 🤗
That was a nice store, enjoy the video
Thanks! It was fun to explore : )
Wow. Didn’t know about it. My fam had a decent train setup when I was a kid.
@@MartinBlasick Oh cool! Any train car or locomotive names that you recall? Anyone in the family still have anything from your set up?
Great video, Lisa. What a smashing store. Happy 4th of July weekend from Ireland!
@@IrishModelRailwayOhhh ☺️ I love that this has reached you all the way in Ireland! One of my best friends is from Kinsale.
And thank you so much for your sweet comment (“smashing store” ☺️) etc. And thanks for the holiday wishes! I was in Ohio visiting with relatives - and talking to an old family friend who worked on the railroad for decades 🎬🚂👍
Great video! Fantastic Channel Lisa!
@@JohnNyren65 Thanks so much, John!!! Lots of train stuff… and also some other entertainment on here. What part of the country do you live in? Any good recommendations for a train related destination / train travel?
@@LisaKEntertainment you’re welcome Lisa. I’m in BC, Canada. Greater Vancouver area. The Fraser and Thompson Canyon is a fantastic area for rail fanning!
@@LisaKEntertainment the Rocky Mountaineer is a must train excursion experience. Runs through the Canadian Rockies and back to Vancouver.
@@JohnNyren65 Oh my gosh! That sounds incredible! I love beautiful landscapes, travel and the outdoors. I've been to Vancouver, Canada once briefly... to audition for the Moulin Rouge LOL.. and then to Toronto to see my great aunt when she was alive - way more to see of Canada, that's for sure!
@@LisaKEntertainment YES, Canada has some amazing landscapes for sure! I would love to railfan in the Southwest US someday soon.
Looks like a fun day. Really enjoyed the tour and your interactions with people.
Thanks, Kevin! It was a fun day, indeed : ) Appreciate your feedback.
Amazing video Lisa. I love the green eye shadow.
Thanks 🤗
Wow 👍👍
So glad you liked my episode. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the tour! I always have to take my time and see everything. Pretty wild putting your French to use in a train shop
I know, right?! C’était un grand plaisir ☺️👯🇫🇷🚂
I absolutely love you videos, your passion for your Dad, his business, his hobby, railroading and all the things you enjoy!! And you’re absolutely gorgeous!! Have fun out there and I’m looking forward to more of your videos!!
@@SonicMonumentStudios52 Aww, thank you so much, Matthew ☺️ And speaking of more, I started editing my visit with the L.A.Steamers yesterday - that will be up by Monday 🤗🎬🚂
@@LisaKEntertainment excellent!! I can’t wait to watch it!!
Great job!❤
Thanks, Susan!
That was My father and I's local train store when I was a kid. (Early 80s)
I love hearing that! How special : )
I used to live next to master train builder, we'll let me tell you there is some real work that goes into building trains.
@@berteisenbraun7415 Very neat! That would be an interesting conversation!
I’m actually meeting with a family friend now, who worked on the railroad for decades. Looking forward to it… and you’ll be able to see that soon, too 🤗
What a geat video Lisa! The time just flew by! Love your enthusiasm and what a stroke of luck for you to meet that young Frenchwoman and exercise the language. In my case my high school German's not just rusty, it's corroded beyond belief!
I've heard of The Train Shack but have never been there. Probably never will be so thanks for bringing us along!
You cracked me up about your "corroded beyond belief" German LOL Thank you so much for YOUR enthusiastic feedback. My how I loved meeting that super friendly French woman. Between my reference to my dad and his train store, and Ken talking about introducing his daughter to trains, and Charline talking about her dad, there were three father / daughter duos represented
Couldn't help but notice the detail in those layouts and the odds of having a conversation in French while visiting a train shop in Burbank, CA? A little serendipity for you Lisa!! Cheers!!
Greeting to you on the East coast! And yes, I was so delighted meeting that friendly girl and getting to speak French and connect over
trains! A lovely surprise that day.
That was an awesome video. WOW !! So, cool you speak French. You never know who you are going to meet in a train store.
It’s true! Loved that so much! Trains… Salsa dancing… lots of things connect people, worldwide, and I love it when they do! And thank you for your really nice words, too ☺️
Very cool video Lisa
Thank you!
If There’s A Place you’ll See Me Hanging out at Would Be at a Train Shop.
You do a great job, I will probably never get back to California to see that store, I've never thought of visiting the local shops until I saw your dad via you. What a fantastic visit with the French Gal. She looked so happy as well and will be spreading good will from America with a beautiful story of the woman in the states who spoke French very well. The world needs more people to slow down, pay attention, care and be nice. Lovely, hoping for your continued success.
I so appreciate your thoughtful comment - thank you! And thanks again for your well wishes.
Very nice video Lisa 👍✌️👌
Merci, Maurice : )
@@LisaKEntertainment 👍✌️
I love how you met a French woman at that store.
Me, too!!!! Moi, aussi : )
Another cool video, love your enthusiasm, how good to have a conversation in French. 😊
Happy 4th July 😍
J’ai adoré ça! Très amusant ☺️ And thanks for the Happy 4th wishes. I visited OH, got in some train talk, and some great time with relatives 👍👍
Hello Lisa, nice video. 👍
Thanks, Walt ☺️
That's an amazing train shop and another nice video, thank you! Luckily there was (and still is) a cool train shop near where I grew up in NJ, The Model Railroad Shop! Now that I'm a Southerner in Training in NC 😂🤣, I have to shop on eBay or mail order. I'm amazed at all the visitors from around the world who have stopped there. I'm not as fluent as you are, mais je parle un peu...
Oh la la! Très bien, Patrick! And have no fear - check out some of my other episodes, like Train Talk with Lisa… you DO have a new local train shop 🤗 It’s my dad‘s store, The Train Loft, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
You seem to be interested into the Hobby, but i guess it rubbed off on you, iam about 120 mi from the train loft, its one the best. I really enjoy his layout.
I see from the image in your profile that you’re just a little bit of a Train fan 👍👍😉 love to hear that you’ve been in my dad‘s shop and enjoyed his layout.
Cant wait to get your autograph when your in the cleveland area
Did you catch the episodes I shot in the Cleveland area with retired Senior General Car Foreman Jim Turk?
SHOEEE....DOGGY!
Visited the Train Shack while visiting family in LA. Great train store with strong family history. I learned the original owner’s daughter is top engineer. (Hint)
@@raamosjr I met her 👍 And yes, figured that the fact that the son and daughter had taken over the store’s operations would only support any lingering ideas in my dad’s mind lol… which part of me thinks could be really special.
He loves what he does, though, and wants to be there for his community. And I love what I do and don’t plan on living in my hometown full time again. But life can take unexpected turns, and certainly has in the past!
@@LisaKEntertainment love the energy and focus you bring to the model railroad community!
@@raamosjr ☺️☺️😌 Thank you!
Thanks for taking us along. I like how you take us along to train related locations but also show some other activities you like. If you ever make it to the Philadelphia, PA area you have to visit Nicholas Smith trains. This is a large train store in Delaware County that has many different gage trains and a very large Lionel and other O gage train inventory. He also operates a traditional toy store on the first floor that is also interesting to see.
Really great video Lisa, well presented and well produced. Are you planning any video tours of railroad club layouts?
Hi Thomas, did you see the episode of the train show I did recently? That shows my dad's train club's layout. But so far, that's the only one I've shown in such detail. I love getting ideas of places and subject matter, and would enjoy a visit to another club's layout.
@@LisaKEntertainmentI just rewatched it. Your dad is great! As is his layout. I really like all the buildings and details. If you are at all interested in home layouts, I have a video cab ride of mine… you can find it by searching for “Cab Ride on the Redwoods And Pacific”
where's your dads shop? I'm in nj and we have a few train shops. A great one in Dunellen, NJ.
The Train Loft is in Winston - Salem, NC. My childhood best friend moved up to Randolph when I was a kid... beautiful area. But I haven't been to a train store in NJ yet. And just so you know, I always add people and businesses that I reference in the episode's description - and if I ever miss one, feel free to let me know : )
Fantastic share just like your dad’s place good to see Mom&pop shops still going. If you ever go to Canada check out OVR trains candy everywhere Ho N scale Have a great rest of your day Happy 4th of July to ya 😎🚂🫵TSM
Thanks! Heading to Ohio for the 4th… and will do a bit of filming 🚂👍☺️
That french woman is very beautiful, charming, people keep forgetting that girls like trains too.
I connected with her immediately. A delight having her in the episode, indeed.
Wow, that looks like an awesome store, we really enjoyed watching the video. If you get a chance, check out the videos my grandson (12) makes of our little layout here in the UK. He really enjoys creating little stories for his Dylington Model Railway and has recently started adding stop-motion animation to his videos such as the Dukes of Hazzard video ... Cheers James 🙂👍
Oh, wow! Very impressive. I will definitely check out his videos. About 14 years ago, I taught a video production and photography class in the afterschool program of the French American international school in San Francisco. I had kids that were really into stop motion. I was amazed with these fourth fifth and sixth graders could create. How fun that he has a Dukes of Hazzard theme. I will take a look.
@@LisaKEntertainment thank you, it would be great to know what you think of his work...cheers James 🙂👍
Cant wait to get your autograph when your in the cleveland area
Why, how did you know? ☺️ Yes, heading on a special trip very soon.
I heard your coming to cleveland soon. Welcome back home
