Congratulations on your first video. This is fantastic. I haven't come across a you tube series presenting O gauge before. I wish you every success in presenting a layout on this scale that most can only dream about owning. Brilliant!
What’s magnificent layout - thank you for sharing it with us. I was already full of admiration and then it was casually mentioned that it is ‘O’ gauge! The locomotives and the carriages, all Golden-age Models and the like. I am simply a proud owner of a Bassett-Lowke built original Merchant Navy, a large Prairie and one Golden-age Pullman car, all in O gauge but with nowhere to run them! Seeing this layout let me step into my dreams. Time, space and money - the three vital ingredients of model railway construction brought to life.
Railways run from end to end via sections along the route , not round & round in circles or ovals , however in miniature given space & modeling requirements we have little choice but to loop things sometimes , this is a fantastic model railway layout & great to see young guys getting involved in the hobby . And yes I’d mention it’s value then perhaps people would view with their eyes not their hands which essentially damages things . Every layout made is respective to its owners so if things are not quite right who cares get a life , I grew up on the LD&ECR railway where nothing was ever quite right . Nice video guys we’ll done will certainly be coming to look at it sometime , please everyone continue only positively with our glorious hobby.
This must be one of the best if not the best O Gauge layouts in the UK. and what a nice couple I had the pleasure to meet. Looing forward the lots good videos in the future
Greetings from Brisbane Australia. Great to see a beautiful O gauge layout coming to life in good hands. I followed the famous Crewchster layout of the late Jack Ray for many years . I am now in 5 inch live steam but O gauge is really the KING of gauges.
Good luck. You're so lucky but hats off for taking on such a challenge. Don't take any notice of the rivet counters. You clearly understand the curating challenge. Enjoy the learning!
Wow. Amazing! I wish you well for the future as you learn about model railways. There are loads of great channels on YT that can help you. But please remember 2 things: It's your layout, so you can do what you like, and don't forget to have fun!
Il est vraiment magnifique ce réseau de chemin de fer en miniature, avec des trains qui tractent au moins des convois assez longs pour un rendu aussi vrai que nature. Chapeau !
Wow I'm just lost for words it cannot be real it's absolutely ridiculous I must be dreaming what a beautiful fantastic layout those owners are so lucky the hard work that must of gone into that I love it well done you people 😊
It was great to see this layout as it is now, as I'd not seen it since my last visit quite a few years ago. This layout was initially built as a commission by the well known railway modeller Norman Solomon and over a number of years I occasionally helped him to deliver and erect the baseboards that he had initially made at his workshop in Somerset. Virtually all the trackwork was hand built by Norman and connecting it all up to the various control panels was a mammoth task. Norman has recently emigrated to Australia. If you wish to see more about the layout, particularly details about it's early construction, check out the book "John Ryan's Express". As a matter of interest the oldest part of the layout is the stone bridge over the river that was built by Norman as a diorama for the previous owner long before any locos ran. It got incorporated into the large layout at a very early stage. How great oaks from little acorns grow!!
What an amazing layout. The scenery the trains are amazing, I especially enjoyed the 9F with sound and smoke coming out from the chimney. I really enjoyed your presentation and look forward to seeing more videos from you both soon.
Amazing. What an amazing model railway. Very best of luck in your future endeavours. I’m sure you will learn a lot about railways and railway modelling as you go forward. Dead jealous!
Hi Tash and Luke, I've subscribed - I'm happy to see two people maybe without a background in railways (big or small) who have evidently become just as interested as those of us who have been here a while. Don't worry about the terminology, that will come with time and there's always more for *all*😂 of us to learn - yes, even those making critical comments. 😉🙄 Don't let that get you down, please just keep sharing your journey as you learn more about the subject that brings so much enjoyment to those of us in this hobby. Welcome to the club 😊 In terms of suggestions, personally I'd just like to see more about what you both find out as you learn about this layout and the hobby in general - it's interesting to see it from the perspective of people who haven't been immersed in the hobby for years. I'd also love to learn nore about you both, which aspects and parts of the layout most capture your imagination, and how you ended up working on this collection - a challenging but fun project for sure! Do you think it will ever make you want to build your own layouts? Anyway, enjoy and I'm looking forward to future updates! PS I can easily believe it's a £600k layout and collection; some of those O Gauge locomotives are crazy expensive on their own, never mind all the coaches, wagons and scenery! But in terms of the work that went into putting it all together; priceless!
Thanks so much for the lovely comment and the suggestions for what you'd like to see going forward. We are overwhelmed by the amount of views and comments we have received. Hopefully you enjoy any future content we put out there.
@@CheshireRailCraft You're welcome! Having watched your second video you're a lot further along on your modelling journey than I guessed, apologies! Still looking forward to following along as you both get to grips with this project... just keeping all the track clean and locos running smoothly will be a task and a half. Good on you both
Absolutely fantastic. You two are so lucky to have this great layout to work on. I am looking forward to watching your next instalment. Keep up the great work, love your enthusiasm.
It is good that this wonderful system is sort of back in the fold. It is really amazing and I have always admired and ebvied JR as it is so close to my ideal railway
Wow wow wow!!! it's stunning! It's wicked and beautiful work! You guys are EXPERTS!!!! :D I love your layout and all the amazing details! I can't wait to see more videos! Thanks for sharing this lovely video! I've also shared with my friends that are model train fans! :)
Thank you for stepping up to be custodians of this histroically important and wonderful layout. Even more importantly you have recognised you are on a steep learning curve, and you need help, and you are reaching out to other modellers who I am sure would love to help. A layout of this size in O gauge will be a dream of many, but few will ever be able to realise. This hobby suffers from far too many rivet counters and armchair critics who always know best, the terminology will get better with experience, and I would suggest that the more droll commenters might want to offer their hands on help if they are geographically nearby to help with the ongoing maintnenance and restoration of the layout. Rather than criticising from their keyboard ! I would also see if Ellis Clark Trains will lend you one of their O gauge Black 5's it would look fantasic on that coal train the 9F was pulling. Have subscribed and look forward to following your adventure forward😀, also check out Chadwick Model Railway, a fantasticlly helpful u tube channel, Charlie is an awsome resource..
Getting in touch with Ellis Clark is a great idea! I'm sure they'd be interested to do a photo shoot with a Black 5, and also a WD Austerity when it's ready.
The layout looks absolutely fantastic!! The details and everything is just out of this world!!! So excited to see more videos of this layout in the future but i would love to see a loco review video of each loco you have and run it around.
Welcome to the hobby! This might be one of the most impressive layouts I've ever seen. The level of detail is superb. It's great to see more younger people coming into the model railway scene now too. Count me in as a new subscriber and I really look forward to seeing what content you guys come up with. For me, I'm always interested to see modelling techniques, especially weathering. I think some model reviews would be great as well, in terms of detail, price, performance. As your both new to the scene, this could be something you get the owner to support you with too? All in all, everyday is a schoolday on model railways and you never stop learning. I'm 27 so don't have as much experience as most in the hobby, but you'll find the majority of modellers are supportive and very much encourage a younger crowd gets involved.
The Brits are showing us continentals they are still the masters of railway layout design. Essential, austere, atmospheric, melancholic. Together with Cry Ensen, that German masterpiece in 0 Gauge this is sure one of the best layouts around.
Very nice for an early effort. I quite enjoyed it. Music was a good choice, well placed and not too loud. Beautiful layout. A track plan to show might help. I am looking forward to details about the engines and the development of the layout and any future plans. Thank you.
I think you will do fine by this magnificent layout. It’s an exceptional piece of work, and you come across as very enthusiastic about it. No 1 priority, in my opinion obviously, is enjoy it. Take on board comments, but ultimately, it’s yours to enjoy, so enjoy it well.
This layout is insanely detailed and brilliantly modelled definitely by far one of the best I have seen. I hope that you get to learn and are welcomed to the hobby with this project and please do ignore that section of the community that likes to be shall we say aggressively right! Haha. A DCC controlled O gauge layout I am not surprised it is worth that much.
Well done for taking on the project and great to see two relative youngsters getting invoved in the hobby. Fantastic layout particularly as I love the A4s and 9Fs. Would be interested to see a schematic of the whole layout and how its meant to operate. Thanks
Great video and amazing layout. Well done to you guys, I have a very small layout I built for my kids and I’m so glad I kept it. Subbed for more gems. Andy UK
I used to work on that layout, with two other guys, for many years until I moved from the area 4 years ago. I was surprised when JR told me he was leaving the layout with the stock. it took him many years to put it together with a lot of work by him and some first class modellers. Because of the size and complexity of the layout it does take a bit of regular maintenance. Have you got a copy of the book which details a lot of the history? My favourite view is the bridge over the shallow river on the two line section. It was one of the first sections to be built and has stood the test of time. Good luck and enjoy one of the very best layouts in the country.
Fantastic. Look forward to seeing more. I like it that you are learning, i am too and find it refreshing to see things through similar eyes rather than feeling like i know zip all the time lol.
A brilliant layout. incredible detail with everything. A great inspiration for those building new layouts. It must have take a few years to complete. 🙂
Amazing layout, and well done you for showing it even though you don’t know a lot. By the way, don’t listen to the rivet counters, call things what you like.
@@CheshireRailCraft thank you, look forward to seeing more of your vids, please don’t take any of the comments to heart, unfortunately there is a lot of rivet counters in this hobby🤭
What a great Layout, I'm not sure I would call it a train set and those harden train fanatics might prefer you refer to it as a Model Railway but anyway, well done for putting this together and thank you
Well done, for two novices, its a lot to take in and to describe 💜💜👍👍 Its a remarkable layout, greatly expanded since I last saw it on a BRM DVD. Some of those locos are crying out for a system akin to the new smoke and sound synchronised system by Hornby. Id love to see more re the maintenance and improvements etc. I've subscribed 👍💜😊
Incredible layout, the craftsmanship that’s gone into this is truly next level. Would be great to do a talk with one of the team that built the layout originally
Looks like “John Ryan’s” amazing layout I’ve only ever seen a 3 minute video that was filmed some years ago If it is Over Peover then you’s 2 our the luckiest couple to be able to help out running such a stunning layout
Hi, as a modeller in 0 gauge and enthusiast myself I hope you dont mind me commenting! I am impressed in the railway you are working on and on your enthusiasm for it. Its certainly quite a work of art. I think with a model railway it its purpose is one of a few reasons and guess a decision needs to be made….The usual purposes are 1)A time machine to show something that was but is not now as accurate as possible 2) A nostalgia trip for the operators 3) A complex operation requiring skill and knowledge to operate successfully 4) A showcase for models. 5) an outlet for skill and technique. There are probably other reasons but maybe the owner has a view on what he/she wants it to be. I will not give an opinion on which of the above I think this model is best suited to of the above reasons. I will say, however, to operate it to its full extent it probably needs several (possibly 5?) operators to operate it to its full extent from what we have seen so far. So when extended, as you hinted at, it will probably need more. Its a bit daunting where to start with a railway of this size and complexity but my recommendation would be to go on a course on DCC control as that is fundamental to this model and without a good understanding of its possibilities it will not live up to expectations. Most layouts with DCC operation do not live up to the potential of DCC in my opinion so maybe that could be an early goal……just a thought.
Personally I wouldn't state the value of this set up, there have been a lot of thefts & this would make this person's collection a target. The actual layout is Fab, well done to whoever spent a lot of time & love doing this.
Welcome to our world where trains run 'on-time', you don't get 'run-over' crossing the road, and endless head-aches wth electrics, derailments, couplings jamming, a world that's never complete', and lots of 'International' fun and comradeship
Well done on acquiring this fantastically realistic model railway. (It’s more than just a train set) do look up and explore why elements of the modelling that appear to be neglected, they are most likely made that way to show and recreate reality of the era of steam trains. Steam Locomotives by nature are not all bright and clean. Do visit a working Heritage railway which will surely give you an insight into how it was and as you have already immersed yourselves into this hobby this visit should serve to inspire your creative talents to continue with what already is a magnificent piece of art not just modelling. Good luck and who knows one day you could open your doors to the public to view this incredible Railway.
Finally, 17:53, _this_ live steam must be the layout's raîson d'être. Getting a good run of chuffs on those straight sections must be an absolute joy. Thank you again and please accept my comments in the spirit in which I made them; namely Constructive Criticism.
Likely that it is just the huge progress made with new design smoke units. Even in 1:32 nd scale , live steam is much less controllable at the low realistic speeds shown.
@@CheshireRailCraft Thank you for reading it. Just eager to pass on any of the experience I've gained behind the scenes/screen to any poor bugger who wants to listen.
Beautiful, Work, So, Much, that’s Excellent, You Should consider some miniature Cameras Fitted. On some particular point of interest so you can details showing on screen camera and screen can be bought for extremely cheap now and in general they are 12V specially inside of your terminus station amazing to watch, anyhow good work you young people. goodness you’ve got so much to do there!
Hi and congratulations on your first video. Would like some details of the builders and history of the layout. A fantastic effort and even more so because it is in O scale. All the best from Australia.
Hi, I remember this layout being built many years back by a very professional team of experienced quality model makers, it appeared in many model railway magazines at the time. From your video and the comments has this layout been relocated to a new home? This really is one of the very best layouts in this scale, in fact any scale, you will ever see. You have taken on a monumental task, just to maintain this layout as it currently stands, I wish you every success, but please respect the layout and the quality of what is already there. I mean no disrespect, but if you wish your videos to appeal to model railways enthusiasts, you really need to get you terminology correct. You called it a "Point Box" it is a "Signal Box" . "Train Set", never, it's a "Railway" and the blue engine you wish to repaint because it looks tatty, is weathered as it would have appeared in real life. I wish you every success with this railway adventure, and I really do hope you do it justice. I look forward to seeing how things progress. All the very best of luck, Dave.
Thanks for the advice Dave, will certainly try to get the terminology correct. And of course we will respect the amazing work that has been done up to now.
Well said there is so much to see.... some very special points at the station mouth that must of been hand made (bespoke) A Steam Engine has a type and a name try to use them. The modelling looks like kit bash or bespoke. Wagons and carriages all have types and variants. You need to know them. 600,000 pound train room sounds like you won the lottery and bought it all. Good Luck
Awesome build especially in O gauge. I think Pete Waterman has a group of fellow model builders who help him out. Probably set up a friends of the railway could be a way forward. It could be open to the public perhaps as an educational facility.
Guys not sure if you are aware but this layout was featured in Hornby Magazines Great Layouts Volume 3 and is still available, if you do not already have might be worth picking up at £ 3 plus postage.. It is a well written feature with great photo's. Rgds Mark
I/We have been following the developments over many years of this marvellous - envy inspiring - railway. You do a good job in explaining the different aspects simply, I suggest you expand to cover other home and public model railways.
Would love to travel around and film other layouts, hope that's something we get to do in the future. Layouts like Chadwick and Everard Junction got us into this hobby in the first place!
I have been waiting for someone to do this video it seems forever. I have been watching short clips of it and have his brilliant book. I am on the same journey at the Moment and one day hope to be able to share mine also in O and gauge 1. Thanks,
Amazing layout guys. I guess this channel has taken over from the original channel which was named after the layout itself. As for video content other than a full layout tour just go with the flow. Follow some of the more experienced channels for ideas like Perth South, Everard Junction ( Although Richard has moved house and will be starting afresh), Chadwick, Dean Park & Britain's Biggest Railway to name but a few
What a beautiful layout and there's certainly been a lot of dedication put to the construction of it.... Touch's of weathering would add further to the rolling stock and the vehicle's..... A truly amazing layout though.
Please please get some expert railway modelers to help. I'm sure there will be plenty who would love to help on this fabulous layout. It's not a points box, it's a signal box. Wishing you the best experience in this venture.
There is still quite a few sections of the layout that need attention. Not sure if it's not been used for a long time or maybe it's deteriorated over time but alot of the rail connections are faulty leading to dead sections of track. Also quite a few shorts in places especially the section in leading into castle cross station. Tash used "tinkering" which for sure is the wrong word when what she meant was maintain/restore.
@@CheshireRailCraft Short circuits through the station throat are almost always caused by incorrect route setting. I suggest that you do not start trying to find short circuits in the station throat. Number 1 it's incredibly complex and number 2 it's very very likely the route selection is wrong especially the exit to the clockwise route. Speak to JR before you start in this area. The problems of open circuits are a routine part of running this layout. Start by assuming that YOU'VE done something wrong. This is not a slur on you but I assure you that after many years this has often been the case. Next look at the point motors. They are tortoise motors and aren't the best available, however they were chosen for good reason. After that look for the isolations and get out your meter. Soldered dry joints are a bit of an issue so look out for them. Speak to the owner; you be well advised to ask the two guys from Alsager to give you some training on the layout if they will. Good luck and enjoy.
That is a truly wonderful railway and a testament to whoever took the time and dedication to build it. I'm very, very envious. Although you introduced us, the viewers, to the layout, you never (unless I was too busy watching in awe at the railway), mentioned what your capacity is with this layout. Did you inherit it? Is it your father's or grandfather?? A friend?, a very generous friend at that! It would be interesting to know the background of it. Whatever way you got involved with it, may I wish you many hours of unadulterated pleasure, Lawrence

This must be one of the best if not the best O Gauge layouts in the UK. and what a nice couple I had the pleasure to meet. Looing forward the lots good videos in the future
@@kirkbybank5824 Thanks Phil, agreed it's mind blowing.
In the flesh it must be enormous 👍
Well done to you both. Thank you so much for sharing.
Unbelievable layout.😊
Our pleasure!
Greetings from Brisbane Australia. Great to see a beautiful O gauge layout coming to life in good hands.
I followed the famous Crewchster layout of the late Jack Ray for many years . I am now in 5 inch live steam but O gauge is really the KING of gauges.
Wow just Wow, looks like a dream job you got there.. wish you all the best for your channel and look forward to seeing more of this amazing layout.
Thanks Karl, more to come for sure!
Good luck. You're so lucky but hats off for taking on such a challenge. Don't take any notice of the rivet counters. You clearly understand the curating challenge. Enjoy the learning!
That is so much Mick!
😂😂😂 love that “rivet counters” 😅😅😅
Awesome layout, Really enjoyable to watch and massive layout with really good detail, Well done
Wow! That is an absolutely stunning layout. Significant in size & quality in equal measure.
It really is!
What a brilliant layout !!-I like the "window-cleaner"-on the "Signal-Box"--you did a good job,-on a very,Extensive--set-up !!-Thanks-
Wow. Amazing!
I wish you well for the future as you learn about model railways. There are loads of great channels on YT that can help you. But please remember 2 things: It's your layout, so you can do what you like, and don't forget to have fun!
Erm. Actually, isn’t it the owner’s layout? Anyway, I get your point.
Thanks for the history Tony, very interesting!
That is tremendous information for the new custodians. Well done Tony.
Thank you for keeping the art of modelling alive
What an amazing layout. The scenery the trains are amazing, I especially enjoyed the 9F with sound and smoke coming out from the chimney. I really enjoyed your presentation and look forward to seeing more videos from you both soon.
Yeh I think the 9F is my current Favorite to run! Due to the chuffs in time with the sound, really adds to the realism.
I visited that layout in October 2015. It is even better in the flesh. Good luck with the project, it is a lot to take on, but good fun.
Thanks Martin for the support!
What an absolute work of art. Good luck with it, can't wait to see more.
Amazing. What an amazing model railway. Very best of luck in your future endeavours. I’m sure you will learn a lot about railways and railway modelling as you go forward. Dead jealous!
We certainly will.
Welcome to the club 😊
In terms of suggestions, personally I'd just like to see more about what you both find out as you learn about this layout and the hobby in general - it's interesting to see it from the perspective of people who haven't been immersed in the hobby for years.
Good on you both
Just a great layout well done love it
Absolutely fantastic. You two are so lucky to have this great layout to work on. I am looking forward to watching your next instalment. Keep up the great work, love your enthusiasm.
Thanks so much!
It is good that this wonderful system is sort of back in the fold. It is really amazing and I have always admired and ebvied JR as it is so close to my ideal railway
One of the best I have ever seen. Beautiful.
Amazing layout! Best wishes from Denmark 🇩🇰
Wow wow wow!!! it's stunning! It's wicked and beautiful work! You guys are EXPERTS!!!! :D
I love your layout and all the amazing details! I can't wait to see more videos!
Thanks for sharing this lovely video! I've also shared with my friends that are model train fans! :)
Wow. This is the best set up I've ever seen. Bonus.... you two are such a nice couple. Please do more vids
Thanks for the lovely comments. There will definitely be more to come 😊
Thank you for stepping up to be custodians of this histroically important and wonderful layout.
Thanks Mark, Charlie at Chadwick is for sure someone who's reignited our love for this hobby.
Thanks for the suggestion, will try to get some of these videos created for you.
There is going to be a video or two coming soon that might be right up your street then Chris, thanks for the support
The Brits are showing us continentals they are still the masters of railway layout design.
Essential, austere, atmospheric, melancholic. Together with Cry Ensen, that German masterpiece in 0 Gauge this is sure one of the best layouts around.
Great to see such enthusiasm. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Very nice for an early effort. I quite enjoyed it. Music was a good choice, well placed and not too loud. Beautiful layout. A track plan to show might help. I am looking forward to details about the engines and the development of the layout and any future plans. Thank you.
Thanks Stephen
I think you will do fine by this magnificent layout. It’s an exceptional piece of work, and you come across as very enthusiastic about it. No 1 priority, in my opinion obviously, is enjoy it. Take on board comments, but ultimately, it’s yours to enjoy, so enjoy it well.
Thanks Derek, we definitely have enthusiasm if not the lingo!
This is everybodys railway enthusiast dream good luck see you in the next vid
Thanks Stella!
Heel erg mooi. Nog nooit zo'n bijzondere spoorbaan gezien. Leuke video / Very very beautiful. Never seen such train. Nice video. TOP
Thanks Hans
This layout is insanely detailed and brilliantly modelled definitely by far one of the best I have seen. I hope that you get to learn and are welcomed to the hobby with this project and please do ignore that section of the community that likes to be shall we say aggressively right! Haha. A DCC controlled O gauge layout I am not surprised it is worth that much.
Thanks Ben, I hope so too!
Well done for taking on the project and great to see two relative youngsters getting invoved in the hobby. Fantastic layout particularly as I love the A4s and 9Fs. Would be interested to see a schematic of the whole layout and how its meant to operate. Thanks
Will try to cover more of the technical side of the layout and what makes it tick in a future video.
Absolutely stunning. A truly magnificent model.
Nice scale size o gauge.
Stunning detail, has to be the best layout out there.very impressive.
Couldn't agree more!
Great video and amazing layout. Well done to you guys, I have a very small layout I built for my kids and I’m so glad I kept it. Subbed for more gems. Andy UK
Thanks Andy, hopefully plenty more to come!
Agreed the stone bridge is exceptional, I think the owner has the book, I'll ask him to borrow it.
What a great vid, my layout is a lot smaller but has the same controls and the NCE power can is brilliant. I look forward to more videos.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow, very impressive and not normally my kind of thing but I can appreciate amazing work 😎
Amazing... I've picked up a lot of ideas!
Very impressive. Thanks for the tour.
Our pleasure!
Fantastic. Look forward to seeing more. I like it that you are learning, i am too and find it refreshing to see things through similar eyes rather than feeling like i know zip all the time lol.
A brilliant layout. incredible detail with everything. A great inspiration for those building new layouts. It must have take a few years to complete. 🙂
I believe it took four guys over 20 years John! Which is crazy right!
Incredible layout, look forward to the next video!
Coming soon!
spectacular well done to the builders
Amazing layout, and well done you for showing it even though you don’t know a lot. By the way, don’t listen to the rivet counters, call things what you like.
Cheers Doug!
.........Well now.......Wow! It's simply staggering!
Iam just starting a small end to end o gauge layout,to see this is absolutely amazing
Good luck with your project John
@@CheshireRailCraft thank you, look forward to seeing more of your vids, please don’t take any of the comments to heart, unfortunately there is a lot of rivet counters in this hobby🤭
What a great Layout, I'm not sure I would call it a train set and those harden train fanatics might prefer you refer to it as a Model Railway but anyway, well done for putting this together and thank you
Wow what an amazing layout. Good luck with the channel I think you onto a winner here ☺ 👍 🚂
Fingers crossed!
Gonna try and do more videos of maintenance, but im worried they may be a little dull to watch!
Very impressive.
Thank you! Cheers!
That's what I call a serious train set!
Incredible layout, the craftsmanship that’s gone into this is truly next level. Would be great to do a talk with one of the team that built the layout originally
We will try to arrange getting the original creator down for an interview, no promises though!
Looks like “John Ryan’s” amazing layout I’ve only ever seen a 3 minute video that was filmed some years ago
If it is Over Peover then you’s 2 our the luckiest couple to be able to help out running such a stunning layout
We sure are John!
The owner was confident enough in his security to talk about the value openly. But thanks for the concern.
Soooo good. Greetings from Germany
Thanks Christian
Absolutely Stunning Layout could stay in there all night ❤❤
It is and we often do!
Thanks Malcolm, we have actually just booked a trip on Yorkshire pullman for October!
Dont really have any suggestions or comments, really bliwn away by the kayout at this point. Keep it up guys, look forward to seeing more content.
Thanks!
so envious great work
Finally, 17:53, _this_ live steam must be the layout's raîson d'être. Getting a good run of chuffs on those straight sections must be an absolute joy.
Thank you again and please accept my comments in the spirit in which I made them;
namely Constructive Criticism.
Likely that it is just the huge progress made with new design smoke units.
Even in 1:32 nd scale , live steam is much less controllable at the low realistic speeds shown.
Thanks for the critique, will try to take it all on board!
@@CheshireRailCraft
Thank you for reading it.
Just eager to pass on any of the experience I've gained behind the scenes/screen to any poor bugger who wants to listen.
Beautiful, Work, So, Much, that’s Excellent,
You Should consider some miniature Cameras Fitted. On some particular point of interest so you can details showing on screen camera and screen can be bought for extremely cheap now and in general they are 12V specially inside of your terminus station amazing to watch,
anyhow good work you young people.
goodness you’ve got so much to do there!
This is a great idea, can you link the type of camera your thinking of?
Hi and congratulations on your first video. Would like some details of the builders and history of the layout. A fantastic effort and even more so because it is in O scale. All the best from Australia.
There is a little of the history in the second video, thanks James for the comment.
stunning. Thanks for sharing
You're most welcome!
Jaw dropping. Never seen anything quite like it.
Fantastic. But just how do you keep it relatively clean?
I have been watching short clips
of it and have his brilliant book.
I am on the same journey at the
Moment and one day hope to be able to share mine also in O and gauge 1. Thanks,
Look forward to seeing your layout one day soon too!
Until I saw this, I didn't appreciate that there is such a thing as "Train Set Envy" .
Thankyou for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Wow! Not enough words ...........
What a beautiful layout and there's certainly been a lot of dedication put to the construction of it.... Touch's of weathering would add further to the rolling stock and the vehicle's..... A truly amazing layout though.
When you say get up and running it seems to be running fine! Its well known and as others of said, alot of valuable models to be “tinkering” with! 👍
This is some great insight and info, will certainly try to get one of the previous modellers down for some help in that area, thanks again.
It is owned by a very generous friend yes! Hopefully we can get him in the videos at some point.
Great video keep the good work going 👍
Thanks, will do!
Over Peover John Ryan's layout seen his book 'John Ryan's Express' great reading. Not far from me I would love to see this layout. You two must be really excited to be doing this and what a project.Good luck and with your videos.👍😁
Thanks Richard, will try and get a hold of that book, cheers!
Don’t listen to those who preach you should do this and you shouldn’t do that…… as a struggling Artist there is that wonderful sentiment…..”ARTISTIC LICENSE”❤️❤️❤️
Where is this layout housed? It’s amazing.
Just subscribed, very nice 😊
