tenor trombone player here, i only started to get interested in the bass trombone all because of you, it looks like a nice change of pace from the normal trombone. Can't wait to see more vids in the future!
man, a fellow trombone player in the 7th grade, who's been playing for three years and has my first winter concert tomorrow, thanks. I now know how low level I really am😭
Legit amazing! I have my concert tm night and all of our percussion have only been playing for about 5 months and they have the inability to play in tempo 😝🤚 wish me luck lmao
As a percussionist, matching the tempo to the whole band can be challenging sometimes. I don't know for sure, but i bet they're trying their best. Maybe even tell them they're doing a good job
@@lilygrace15 That's totally understandable! I play the bass drum for my upcoming Christmas concert and it's easy for me, but it could be more difficult for others. Just a little context, our keyboard players have no idea what they're doing and some of our wind instrument players don't even know the last 15 measures :)
@@Jake77063my high school has two bands one higher level one and a lower level one. I’m in both Beto help support the lower level and I enjoy playing. Today in the lower level band we had a kid in percussion come up and ask the teacher what a dot over a note meant (staccato) I have no idea how that kid has gotten through 6 years or percussion and never learned that.
I did my concert about two weeks ago my solo sucked tho if ya wanna take a listen here it is my solo is at 11:54 (The song is mr pc) th-cam.com/video/7wOmxLGQZ5M/w-d-xo.html
Oooh, yeah. That’s the part that brings the jazz.
Ikkk thanks for pointing that out
its lovely innit?
That part is the main part of a classic marching band stand tune, commonly known as “let’s go blue”
At my school they call it go big red
We just say let’s go band
We say go big blue
For me it’s go fight win
For me its go big red

Love to see pep tunes in Classical Music 😂
does anyone else hear “lets go blue” or is it just me ???
i did too
Me too
The baritone in the backround slays though
2025? yo this from the future????
I believe the presence of '2025' may indicate the graduating class for that year. This was recorded around the holiday season last year.
Love it so cool how u can look at the camera every once and a while without messing up
The trombone plays a great part I miss playing tuba next to the trombones in high school
I miss playing. This is my favorite piece during Christmas ☃️
As a fellow bass trombone player I can say that this is 100% accurate.
It’s never exciting to play non melody but boy is it needed. Thank you for your sacrifice 🫡
playing this in orchestra rn and the jazz section is killing me 😭
mainly cuz it sounds like go big band (go big red for us) lol!
Finally someone who knows
That's your band room right? Y'all have a 2nd floor balcony?
Yup. It’s where our director stands
@@kevinmalone2279 wow

Only the millionth time this song has been played
Very well done
I can’t unhear Phred in the middle of this part
Love that sub contrabass
I love that part
damn I wish I was bass trombone when we play Sleigh ride
Dig out those low notes! Sounding great though!
Us horns are crying 😭😭😭
I play bass clarinet and during our concert I was dancing like crazy lol
Kinda reminds me of the stand tune "Let's go" 😭😭😭
Sort of sounds like the veggie tales theme song
Nice job!
wow! my band doesnt have a bass trombone and im on second part so its cool to see how these pieces fit together

@@Jake77063 I get what you're saying, it just sucks because the bass drum's only job was to play quarter notes at about 80 bpm :/

Does anyone else get different perspectives of sleigh ride on their for you page??
YES !! and i love itt
All the time!!!
How do you play with the bottom lip?
the one part sounds like Big Blue
I play euphonium
Ooooh what bass do you have?
I forgot what model number, but in that video I'm playing a Getzen.
boutta do this on bari sax next week 💯💯 how do u get the side pov?
The fact that you are using a Getzen Bass Trombone makes me wonder why your not using a shires.
where is this?
I love the go team go section
notes???
Why does it say 2025
Keep7777 or go to 77777
Bro
Are filipino
Bros from the future, with the 2026 flag 💀💀
French Horn part is worse. It's basically just the upbeats for about 80% of the piece
Fr! The off beats, especially if you play them on a C or higher, are awful!
Your ambrouchore is awfully high on the mouthpiece
Why is there a 2025?
Most likely, that may signify a graduating class.
tenor is better imo
That knda looks boring
