I can’t wait!!!! InstrumentManiac, you are the reason I am even in the music industry. Thanks for everything!! Without you I wouldn’t have a bass recorder, a piccolo, and every other recorder in the recorder family.
Man, thank you for a big help for me. Im from Russia and also have begun a bit making colection of musical instruments. Now I have not so much: castanets, jaw harp, kazoo and drum set. There will be xaphoon and harmonica too. But I've begun making this because of you, you just show me how you can be cool while playing all this instruments, i really enjoy it very much. Thank you, really
With the b flat Trumpet, I have the solution for you so that it isn't as loud. I play Trumpet as my first instrument, and I have learned how bright they are, and you just have to get this thing called a practice mute, which is similar yet different to the straight mute, because the straight mute kinda curves or reduces the sound by like 40-50%, which the practice mute as in the name is meant to be used for practicing the Trumpet, as it muffles the sound completely to where only those surrounding you in the area can hear it and it won't become an obnoxious sound your neighbors have to listen to. Trust me, you wouldn't regret buying a practice mute one bit. They are harder to come by compared to straight mutes, I think you just have to walk into a music store and specifically ask for one cause I thought I had gotten a practice mute from my sister who is like 16 years older than me, but she bought one off of Amazon which I have lost trust in shopping there cause they ruined a music book I got for a Euphonium, but I apparently got a straight mute instead. So I would say if you can get your hands on a practice mute for the Trumpet, it will make practicing in an apartment much easier with little to no disturbance to your neighbors.
Adjustable cup mutes work pretty well. I ended up getting the shh mute for my trombone and it is super helpful to be able to practice at night. The resistance isn't perfect but its close.
It would be SO COOL if you could add the Eb Contralto Clarinet to your collection!! I played it throughout high school and miss it so much... And I'm sure you'd be able to do AWESOME things with it and show off how special of an instrument it is. Keep it up man!!!
I'm gonna be that guy and correct something. While the tenor ukulele is larger than the soprano (and concert) ukulele, it's not lower in pitch. The soprano, concert and tenor ukuleles are all tuned exactly the same. The baritone ukulele is the one that is lower in pitch than the other three.
I absolutely loved this video! It's really cool getting to see all the instruments! I'm feeling super inspired to continue learning piano and ocarina on my own!
I would just love to comment that, because of you and some other music creators, I've really gotten into music and I love your covers and even original pieces. Myself learning music, it's just so impressive to analyze the music and I just question how people come up with this kind of stuff. Hopefully one day I can become as good as even you!
Amazing collection! 😃 I should do a video like this some day as I have a fairly big instrument collection too (not as many instruments as you have though). Btw, I also love the NAFs but find the limited range annoying sometimes. I have been thinking of drilling a thumb hole on one of them to see if I can get a couple more notes, but it's a bit scary in case I fail lol.
7!! I play piano, flute, clarinet, oboe, alto saxophone, soprano saxophone and church organ. I took up the oboe last May as it was a birthday present from my dear hubby. I rented one at first, now I have my very own oboe which is wonderful!! 🤩
Number 59, as a trombonist, i can say the sliding can get a lot of getting used to if you have played an instrument beforehand. In my personal opinion trombone isn't too difficult due to the fact that it doesn't use a reed and it doesn't have like a hundred buttons on the instrument itself. But thanks for the shout out to the trombonist out there! It's not very often that someone gives credit to someone who plays a trombone. Mostly to the people who play a violin, piano, trumpet and the popular instruments. (sorry for the long comment)
@KoolPenguinRL I can fully agree with you, it gets slightly frustrating when people call us "Tromboners" because they think its funny. Also today's world does not take trombone (or at least most instument) seriously, but that is the world we live in. (I can also agree that trombone is an amazing instument)
Ok I thought band teachers were instrument crazy, but this brings this to a whole new level. Instrument literally #1 and if you need the flute to be heard better a fast trick hold it up at a horizontally completely straight.
