    I picked crochet as a hobby for long bus rides and this was my first ever project! I gave the scarf to my nephew as a little gift and It has held up through at least 3 hours of little boy shenanigans. Thank you for making this wonderful tutorial! 💛👏👏👏👏

    I’m a lockdown 70 year old,teaching myself crochet,your video is so inspirational especially using stitch markers,I think a lot of crochet experts forget about learners,you clearly understand how newbies don’t understand a lot of the basics,thanks for the lovely calm video 👏👏👏👏

    Great tutorial, I was wondering why my scarves kept getting progressively skinnier as I crocheted. :) I'm a young beginner (22)

    Thank you! This is one of the best tutorials I have seen on TH-cam. You explain things well, you show them well, you don’t go too fast!

    No matter where I go, and there are at least hundreds of tutorials on crocheting, they go into great detail on how to make the slip knot at the very beginning. I was a kid when I learned how to make this mystery "knot" come undone when you pull on both sides of the yarn. It is a great trick when you are a kid. But I know there are many people out there who may not have ever done it. For me, it was at least 50 years ago. My problem is my brain and lack of memory, mostly short term. I made each of my older sisters a special scarf for Christmas, in the 3 colors of our favorite college team colors. They absolutely love them and that was all I needed. They are 79 and 74. I'm just a "kid" at 61. My sister-in-law saw pictures of the two of them and asked if I would make her one and I said sure. I just finished a baby blanket for our first grandson who should arrive in late March, and I forgot how many hours go into it. Then I have a few requests for other things that should be pretty simple. God knows I have plenty of yarn to work with, so I'm going through videos just to get ideas from. Thank you for your tutorial.

    I’m a complete beginner who has made the wonkiest dishcloths…but quite proud of them. I wasn’t too sure about tackling a scarf but you’ve convinced me I could do it. I appreciate the use of the stitch marker and wish more tutorials would include them. Thank you for this video.

      Tap the video and then tap the little gear icon at top right of the video window and select Playback Speed. Change the playback speed to .75 or .5. That will really slow down the video so you can get a better look.

    I was wondering why u do not add 2 stiches at the end of each row only on one side of the scarf, is that only for double crochet???

    • @Jean78578
      @Jean78578  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, height stitches are not needed for single crochet.

    • @Jean78578
      @Jean78578  ปีที่แล้ว

      If it's getting wider, perhaps you are accidentally crocheting two stitches in one stitch occasionally.
