    After several days and hours of
    - Practicing
    - Rewatching this video over and over.
    - Unraveling and starting over 5-6-7x
    I finally got it haha!
    It’s aligned correctly, only two minor errors, good quality hand work and half way done!
    Thank you so much, it’s
    b-e-a-utiful!!

      @@MozaicVal ah, yes. I see it shows 2 rolls. Unfortunately it does not say how many yards of yarn you need. And as many skeins come in different yard amounts, that's information that I would need in order to make the scarf. It also doesn't mention what thin/thickness the yarn is, which can drastically change how many yards you would need. Hope this helps🤗

    Thank you! I have tried learning how to crochet multiple times from other videos but my pieces always ended up a mess and I gave up. I found this video now and FINALLY I understood the technique. I still made some mistakes but I corrected them and now it's going really smooth. Thank you Swerella, you explained it really nicely. You explaining exactly where to put the needle made all the difference.

  • @picatsso
    @picatsso ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'm so thankful I finally found this channel. You use your hook in the same technique I do and it makes it so much easier to learn and understand when you learn from someone who uses the same technique. You explain things so clearly, and truly step by step and you don't use jargon until you explain what it is, which is so critical for a beginner like myself. I don't know how you keep your camera angles so perfect so I can see exactly what you're doing and it makes this SO much easier to emulate. I'm so excited to check out what other projects you have and I'm finally hopeful that I'll be able to do this well and it's not so intimidating anymore. I started doing this to help with my bad anxiety and I was getting very frustrated because I just couldn't understand the other TH-camrs and what they were doing and I was starting to feel like an idiot. Turns out that their teaching style just didn't mesh with my learning style. Thanks to you, I've been making straight rows and I've now mastered two kinds of stitches. Thank you so much for your help. Please keep making videos! You truly are helping people like me.

    This is a great tutorial on learning to crochet! Searched youtube for crocheting a scarf for beginners. I'm glad you said to take out stitches if need to and how to identify the correct loop. I had to multiple times start over. My first go I crocheted like nearly 6 inches worth of rows but it was not straight. It was hard to unravel, mentally, but I'm glad I did. After the third unravel I realized I was messing up my first row, missing a chain loop and in other areas adding in a stitch, and it set my scarf off crooked. I also chose a dark blue yarn Lol guess not the best choice to learn to crochet. I have to look under a light to see my rows Lol but is coming along nicely now! Thanks for your video! Subscribed. Only one day into my crocheting. Looking forward to the final product.

    I enjoyed the lesson but there was a few things you left out that I had to look up other youtubers to find answers too. If this is a true beginner course "no experience needed" I wish you would have explained what to do when you run out of yarn, how to start a new ball and tie off excess, also just showed more in the beginning and end. These are just my opinions. Either way I enjoyed this and was able to make a successful scarf, so thank you.
