I would suggest the South West Coast Path. 630 miles. Although a bit longer than the Scottish National trail, it took me around the same amount of time to complete
Such beautiful views on this section😍 You two are doing great - almost there! The Cotswold Way was the first trail I completed in the UK over ten years ago. I loved it then, but it may be too touristy for you. I'm thinking of doing the Arran Coastal Way next year.
@@hikersheep It's been 10 years since I did it and I think it's only gotten more popular. The towns can be inundated with tourists during the day. I still enjoyed my time there.
499 miles.....you can see the light at the end of the tunnel, down the stretch you come! Fantastic effort by the two of you.I'd vote for the COTSWOLD WAY.For me it's the the prettiest part of England. The towns and villages are like something off a postcard.Wild/stealth camping overlooking towns all lit up at night.I also like the CLEVELAND WAY for the contrast, countryside then historic coastline...with good fish n chips !
awe sad music at the ending matched your sadness at being wet n cold n miserable. But ya did it yeh. Wanted to see Ben pitching a fit/his tent in the downpour! I can only imagine!
Pennine way the back bone of England. And Southdowns way on The South Coast. Love you walks and videos. Is some of your footage from a drone Christina xx
Many votes for Pennine Way! Thanks. South Downs Way I already did in October 2022 "yo-yo". Yo-yo means i walk from Winchester to Eastborne...then walk back. :) Videos on my playlist.
The hostel is booked by University of Edinburgh geology department for 2 weeks every year at the same time for the last 20 years. :/ We went to that car park but it was so overgrown and billions of midgies. So out of desperation, we camped at a field across the road from the hostel. Not sure what the field is for..? It's mowed
@@hikersheep It's different in a few ways. Yes, it is waymarked, you have easier access to food and towns for most of the hike, but it is longer. The terrain is completely different to the CWT, but you still have to work hard, and that is part of the charm. Highlights include walking through moorland, along Hadrians Wall as well at walking into Scotland at Kirk Yetholm where you started the SNT from.
Have u watched any of snowymatrix throughhike channel as he has walked quite a few of the UK long distance trails including those in Wales and the Southern Upland Way in Scotland which is a tough route although waymarked.
I think you'd love Offa's Dyke trail. Loads of sheep and hills. Otherwise the Shropshire Way or the Pennine Way. I think the cotswold Way would be really boring compared to the trails you've done so far. (I found it dull)
Don't know if you know. There's. A new trail opens the end of this year.it's called King Charles lll england coast path.2,700 miles.it will be the longest managed coastal path in the world. Easy trail bobo.😂
Wowww...that's way too long. I knew about Monarch's Way that follow the escape route of Charles II. I was gonna do that last year but ended up doing WHW and CWT instead. But thats interesting about the new trail though. Ill investigate. :)
Interesting to hear you say you stole food from the breakfast at Oykel Bridge Hotel. Last year we were behind you on the CWT by about two weeks. I mentioned your vlogs to the manager at Lochhournhead B&B and he was furious that you had taken several chocolate bars without paying. Any comment?
??? What??, That is not true at all. I paid for everything i got at Lochhournhead. Coffee, candy bars, a meal, internet access everything. If I remember correctly I spent over £33 on myself. I asked if a room was available but they were booked. They must have confused me with someone else! 😡 Regarding the joking comment i made about "stealing" food from Oykel Bridge Hotel. I took 1 banana and 1 apple from the breakfast buffet to eat on the go with me that I paid for including room for 2 nights. We spent approximately £300 there
@stevewilliams5872 It bothers me that he thinks I didn't pay for the chocolate bars. I talked to him awhile and I listed everything I got during my 4 hour stop there and paid in cash. He either confused me with someone else or counted his inventory wrong. 🤷🏾♀️ There were other people coming in and out as well. 😡
Long day 20miles. That hillside was high and steep but you made it!
Love to see you do the Pennine Way, also walks in Wales may appeal to you. Love your videos, thanks so much for sharing you are such a inspiration.
Thank you so much. Yes! Many people suggested the Pennine Way so I think we are going to do that. :)
Looks like a rough day but the views are spectacular.
CARPE DIEM
The most difficult and remotes sections are the most beautiful though

Too touristy? Is it too crowded? I had anxiety today walking around Edinburgh....too crowded...I hated it

@@danidaskam1027 oh ok. Hmmm....I'll find something that calls me....don't know what yet
It would be good to see you guys do the Pennie way. 👍
Pennine Way got many votes so far
Ha ha! 11:30 - you’ve been watching Haze 😂
Yea...sometimes I do. :)
Christina and Ben what a great video diary you will have to look back on .
Another great walk.
Head for the hills must be smiling from up on there😊
What do you mean? I don't understand. 🤔🙂
Search TH-cam for Head for the Hill's Scotland. He filmed many trips just like yourself but sadly he is no longer with us
Tough trail today but you guys made it through like champions! Beautiful views. Happy trails! 👣

I may be wrong but I think that the Cotswolds will be way too busy
@@paulmcqueen2680 Busy but beautiful. If you havent been to the Cotswolds you havent been to England.
Good milage by you both under very difficult conditions, well done. Regards. Andrew.

Oh, and yes, I used a small self-flying drone for some footages. :)
Thanks for the update & reply... I love the drone footage. Keep on walking Christina xx
The Lodge is really well run. Pity it was booked out again, but the little shop is an oasis of goodies. Was your camping spot as good as last year?

Have you done the Pennine Way? Exceptional good walk. I did the PW and CWT in one year and would struggle to pick one over the other.
Not yet done the PW...but it got many votes!! Is it similar to CWT but waymarked?

Yes, sometimes I do. Funny you said that, I'm watching his Offa's Dyke Path now
I've watched that series and it looks like a great trail - tough but superb scenery. Look forward to watching whatever one you end up choosing.
Do the Pennine Way

Ok. Thank you for the suggestions. Im less and less interested in the Cotswolds now. Yah, maybe Wales is next

You should try Wales.it's epic. brecon beacons,Pembrokeshire coast, snowdonia.all gorgeous.
Also, the Welsh Coast Path.
Also, in my opinion, worth researching the Pennine Way, Offa's Dyke Path, Pembrokeshire Coast Path, and the South West Coast Path 😀👍

Don’t worry about it. You’ve made things clear. Just a misunderstanding I guess.
