We are a homeschool family and learning about Scotland today. I looked up videos on Cape Wrath and found yours. So beautiful and inspiring! Thanks for sharing with us!
I did it last year in May and you have beautifully captured the sheer "brutifulness" of the trail. Testing you to your limits and rewarding you for doing so... thank you.
rewatched this video today... and again, wow! loved the imagery, the videos, the drone shots, the music, and the storytelling. you brought us on your journey
What a wonderful video. Felt I was right there walking with you. Thank you for creating it and sharing these incredible scenes of the earth's magnificent beauty!
Thank YOU, Amanda! 🥰 I'm so happy you could feel like you were right there with us - that's exactly how I hoped the video would let people feel! This world is so beautiful and I'm so happy to share it.
2025 for me. Did the WHW last August, EHW this week and will do the Great Glen in spring 2024. Your video and insight is perfect and gives a real flavour of what lays on store. Thank you 🙏🏻
I saw you for the first time today. I wasn't sure about you but now have decided that I like you very much. Thank you for sharing your nature. I love sweet beauty and inspiration.
I get so excited when you post videos on here because they are always so beautiful and bring such a sense of peace but also wildness. Thanks for taking us with on this awesome adventure!
Excellent video with beautiful wild landscapes. It’s a bit of a shame not to have added some nice photos at the end of the video. Thank you for sharing these images
What a beautiful film! I am so pleased that we got to meet you when you visited Lochhournhead. Loved seeing Flash was doing what Flash does best; keeping guests company while they eat and drink! 😁
hey Elizabeth, I found your video by accident but I am so glad i did. It was breathtaking and i got goose bumps, its magical. thank you for sharing your wonderful work
This was so gorgeous and inspiring! I love your narration, it reminds me that I need to "go for a walk" every now and again. Having just returned from Scotland I can't wait to go back now that Ive seen your video.
Awwweee thank you so much, Suzanne. 🥰 Scotland will always hold a special sort of enchantment over me, hehe. I'm so happy you could find this video inspiring, thank you!!
This is all magical but no surprise because YOU are magical! Thank you for taking us along on your journey in my favorite country on the planet! I never wanted this video to end. 🏴
Gosh I just came back from Scotland but this makes me miss it so much. And even more miss your. Your videos always are such a grounding to my heart! I love how you see and how you remind us of the profoundness of simplicity and the beauty in nature. Thank you for being you and sharing you with us. I LOVE how you story tell in these videos
Shelby this comment means so much to me! ❤ I love that we are both so in love with Scotland, hehe. And I'm so happy that you love my videos that much and find them grounding - that's exactly what I hope they can be for people who see them! I want to get into the habit of keeping up with making more videos regularly because I honestly LOVE it and find it therapeutic and grounding myself to capture and showcase how I see the world. 🥰 Thank you for everything!! I love you!
Thank you for this beautiful video, both in the beauty of the Nature you experienced, what you had to say about how it touched you and your life, and the accompanying music. I found it quite inspiring as I had hoped to trek across the British Isles with a newly acquired English Mastiff puppy, this after I finished college~way later than the original plan. But alas, it never happened; it has not been the right time to get a dog for years now, or to travel like this for a time-maybe it will be in a different place, at another fork in the road...time will tell. Oh, and loved your medieval gown and sword! 💘
I'm gonna walk the skye trail in 2 weeks, pretty excited and nervous, I never dared to dream of walking the cape wrath trail, but after seeing this wonderfull film i just know i have to walk this trail! Truly wonderfull watching this!
What a stunning video that really captured the essence of the trail. It brought tears to my eyes as the memories came flooding back. Would I do it again? I have!
Wooow, absolutely gorgeous video and the drone shots are out of this world!! A few years back I hiked the West Highland Way, which was beautiful, but not as desolate as this seems... I think this has to go on my bucket list. Amazing video!
Thank you, Angélica!! My partner Kris shot all the drone work and I was SO excited to include it in this video, hehe! It was soooo beautiful! I've always wanted to hike the West Highland Way, also - it seems so lovely, too, even if it is busier than the Cape Wrath up north! :) I hope you get to this one some day, it was so worth it!
Absolutely beautiful video! So magical with the music and everything. Funny to think you both collapsed on my couch to eat food and drink wine after all this epicness 😂
I just came back from a 2-week road trip in Scotland, and although I'm nowhere fit enough to do what you did, your video just makes me want to go back as soon as possible. Beautiful photography and sentiment.
What an outstsnding hike and video! I've covered mist of the Cape Wrath route over the years , climbing the local hills on day and weekemd hikes. I'm planning to hike the entire trail in the next few years. Your video is very inspirational, and it was good to see Sandwood Bay again! Sutherland is such a magical landscspe "....the bare bones of eroded mountains, some of the oldest in the world, brooding, moody, and lashed by Atlantic rain.......a land for connoisseurs....." (quote from Tom Weir. Good luck on your next adventure, Nigel
Ahhh thank you, Nigel! I really appreciate your kind words! This trail has given me memories that will stick with me for the rest of my life, I already want to go back and further explore more of these places. 🥰
Ms Gadd, I am overwhelmed! Choking up 5 minutes in and barely holding it together after the waterfall at 10:40. I knew your photography would be awesome, but this was crazy. I really don’t know what to say. Im part Scottish, like many are, and my wife and I spent several weeks in Britain including a week in Cornwall and 10 days on Skye in 2012, one of the nicest summers on record! To do what you did is a dream, but my real dream is the Yukon where I lived from age 9 to 15. You just may have pushed me over the edge. Thank you ❤❤ ❤ PS. Love, love, love the 🎶
Wow, your kind words have meant so much to me to read! I'm honestly so happy that this video could resonate with you so much, Allan. Thank you. ❤ That helps me realize I'm doing something right be sharing these experiences! I so hope you get to live your real dream in the Yukon soon! 🥰
@@ElizabethGaddPhotography I’m so thrilled to read your response Elisabeth. Videos like yours are worth all the effort. I’ve tried to imagine how you do your incredible stills too, especially the landscape selfies, but it’s beyond me really. You truly are an artist, and all art is about connection and discovery, to self and to others we share this amazing life with. Not to mention connection to this marvellous 🌎 planet. I confess I am blessed/cursed(?) with the ability to feel such connection very deeply, and it always awes me when others resonate with that too. Btw your narration was really good as well, and definitely contributed to the calming and grounding that others have mentioned.☺️👍 Thanks for making my day for the second time this week! All the best 💗
I stopped watching 'yet another trail vlog over a year ago but so glad I made an exception for your film. You really captured something special. I'm packing for my return to the CWT (north to south this time) in a few weeks time. Can't wait!
Thank you so much, Cecil! I’m in the same boat, and wanted to do something different from all the other trail vlogs I’ve seen to document this trip. More like my own thoughts journaled in creative video form, hehe. I’m so happy it could connect with you! 🥰
Hey guys ..superb video! We met you both at Cape wrath wondering when we would all be able to get off. I was the guy with the puny drone that would fly in the wind 😊. Nice to see the finished film
Hahaha yes!! Was so awesome to meet you all at the end of the trail! What an incredible trip. So happy you enjoyed our video of the journey! Hope you’re doing super well! 😊
Fantastic movie , just found this .. I am one of the guys who slept on the floor that night in Cape Wrath , the scenery is stunning . love it. Best Wishes and hope you guys are well ❤
Ahhh thank you!! We’re so glad you enjoyed it! And what a way to end the trail, all stranded at the lighthouse together. 😂😊 Hope you’re doing well too! ❤️
@@ElizabethGaddPhotography yes , thought we were stuck for a few day's, it was lovely meeting you both ,hope you had a great time with your friend before you went home, Best Wishes Scott
Breathtaking shots accompanied by such a wonderful and humbling storytelling 💚✨💚 What an adventure! If I may, I don't know if it was a voluntary choice, but the use of audio ducking could have been helpful at the beginning as I struggled to understand to words because of the music still playing pretty loud behind your voice. Loved the composition otherwise!!
I am surprised that it hardly rained during this trip ; I have been living for 5 years near Cape Wrath ( BALCHRICK, near Kinlochbervie) and the weather is so impredictable that I wonder how you deal with every gear wet in few days !! Kind regards .
That’s the best cape wrath video I’ve seen, well done to you both 🫶🏻
So breathtaking! Thank you for adding one fine spot on my bucket list.
WOW!!! Purely EPIC on every level!!!! Thank you so very much for your amazing talents 🙏❤💫

I have read many of the comments and couldn't agree more, what a stunning video.

So beautiful! I loved what you said around minute 10:00... "we were...." all the things
Wow! I’m so glad I watched this. It was totally amazing. And to get that picture at 11.30 in the video was just stunning.

@angelica As beautiful as the WHW is, the CRT is definitely desolate in comparison!
I hope you end up doing it 🏕👍

Hahahaha thank you Sian! That was maybe even the best part - wine and couch lounging in your company! The best way to wind down in any case. 😂❤️❤️❤️
beautiful photography very majestic
