A lot of the deficiencies listed from dopamine sounds like a lot of the things I’m feeling, I mean a lot, I’m on anti depression so would it be safe for me to use tyrosine? I just got some vitamin d3 because of the use in mood improvement. I’ve also looked at trt and my levels were really low and then low normal. Overall I feel horrible and hopeless and all I have recently are negative feelings and thoughts

Now they seem to push cod liver oil for amazing benefits. Claim it is a better anti inflammatory than turmeric. You get vitamin d and a, your epa and dha? (Spelling), and probably a lot more benefits. One has to be careful with cod liver oil, majority is so processed that they wind up adding vit a & d. Find a good one, the oil should always be refrigerated. No pill forms.
BTW, thanks for your comment, I remember reading about fish oils and how good they are for the brain.

Adrenal fatigue perhaps. How do you handle sugar? Do you eat processed foods or do you cook your own? Do you think you might be hypoglycemic? Treat sugar like the plague, and caffeine is deadly on the adrenals. Try to eat lots of fresh complex carbs. Leafy lettuce and other nutritious vegetables. Even carrots are a no no, considered a simply carb or it covers to sugar. Also potatoes. Good luck.

Its not a real derpression coz I cured it with two strong coffe cups so many times before... This time I got some tyrosine, vit b6, folate, and wating for my Iron suplment to arrive. I hope it works. Tyrosine with some hot cocoa drink did help me a lot this morning, but I still miss that kick in the ass that coffee gives me. That feeling that no matter what - you can handle it.

These things all may help raise the amount of precursor minerals for building dopamine but in no way do they treat ADHD or any other dopamine disorder.
The reason is because it’s a problem with the dopamine circuitry and receptors NOT production of precursor nutrients. In example, you can eat all the protein you can handle but doesn’t mean you’ll put on muscle size, it needs the stressor from resistance exercise and the right hormones to trigger hypertrophy THEN protein becomes a factor to maximize gains.
As with “increasing dopamine” or treating dopamine disorders, loading up on precursor nutrients won’t fix a problem with the circuitry or receptors, you have to find activities your individual brain responds to with dopamine release and make that a part of your lifestyle THEN you can maximize dopamine by looking into precursors nutrients and absorption.

Then how do you treat or fix problems with circuitry or receptors? My experiences and those of so so many others is that DR's wont even speak to you about these things, also wont discuss any supplements that may help! ALL they want to do is prescribe some sort of pharmaceutical garbage. Sorry, but this is fact! Myself and all I know have seen so many MD's and they dont have a clue as to how to properly or any healthy way to treat you, nor will they even consider supplements etc. So how do you get one to consider anything but popping THEIR pills?
Also I have spoke to homeopaths and almost all are not covered by the required "health" insurances we have today. Their protocols can be astronomically expensive, given it costs about $150. just to see them. Most in America today cant afford that along with the $100.'s per month in supplements. UGH.

If someone doesn't respond to Tyrosine adequately, you can add in a small amount of 5HTP. It helps make the body be more responsive/sensitive to Tyrosine I believe.

    They sell an suplement with
    5-HTP 100mg
    SAMe-75mg
    B6-10mg
    B12-0.5mg
    Inositol-100mg
Honestly, i don't really like the effects of this combination. Never tried 5-HTP on its own, should I take only that?

Mam I have been suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder since my childhood. I have been on antidepressants (paroxetine) for 3 years .Gradually I started noticing decline in my ability to feel pleasure while communicating with people, or hobbies . Doctors say that it is the side effect of certain medications that numb emotions and that it will go when they change the type of antidepressant. But I faced the same from other antidepressants as well. Also I have been on buproprion but it gives me serious mood swings and gastric issues. I suspect that I have dopamine deficiency due to which SSRIs are troubling me . Maam can you suggest what course of treatment I should take
