I hope Bungie sees this, and realizes their game balance is so bloody awful that a guy basically has to reach enlightenment and basically become Buddha himself, just to enjoy it! Jokes aside, this was a great video, and you're absolutely right about the proper approach. Detaching from the outcome does put the mind in a state to quickly, freely, and flexibly change tactics to counter anything they face. Plus, even if that still doesn't work, you'd be less prone to frustration.
Love it! We should somewhat glorify it from just goofy ass fun. Plenty of other competitive games out there. Balancing the Crucible still needs to be done and they are doing that but you find enjoyment when you don't stress about a KD and just play to try something different.
REGINALD! We have a problem... Crucible improvement creator, Ascendant Nomad, has discovered that Destiny can be pretty fun when you release the biases of "Must play the meta" or "must win". It will only be a matter of time before he discovers our ludicrously hilarious Sweet Business + Icefall Mantle + Whisper of Chains titan build...
Strangely enough, playing both halo infinite, and various fighting games helped me more than beating my head into the wall trying to improve in game, taking a break and playing other games can actually help a lot, through fighting games I learned that I bounce between being impulsive and being incredibly patient and how to control my impulsiveness along with timing my attack, and halo infinite has drilled into me how power positions and other factors like map control can influence a games outcome. Using both of the lessons I learned I managed to do pretty well compared to when I took a break.
Not that strange at all. There is a deep innate competitive design in Destiny's combat. It's not everything but knowing competitive play from multiple angles will give you an edge. Competition is part but not the center.
Bullet hells helped me play cod a bit better, but playing cod with only a knife instantly made me a god, after loosing for 4 or 5 days, once I found new ways to move and routes to open a chance for a knife kill, I pulled out a gun and got 20kills minimum every damn game, and died alot less. Never sprinting was a big part bc u don't show up on radar unless u shoot and makes aiming more consistent. Becoming great at cod made me amazing at destiny👌(cod guys made our gunplay, that's y we knew b4 they started development the gunplay would b top of the line crispy) I just had to get more efficient with specials

@@yugijak sniping is super hard on there to me, just play with only a knife for a few days, only sprint when u close enough to hit them and it'll make u better, since your jogging u won't b on radar and since u more slow it makes u learn the stages in and out much faster, and don't go to any hot spots ever, flank the hot spots and clean up enemies on the outside of them. It works on destiny also max out speed and do only melees
Just about to the point where I get so frustrated with my own play and an inability to do what I hope or want to in the game, and ready to just “retire” from pvp….here comes Nomad with another common sense, down to earth, practical approach video. And it puts my own mind in its place, and pushes me back in a direction of “stop beating yourself up so much”. Thank you, thank you, thank you
play WITH better players. Its helped me so much. Not saying im good, but im here at a 2.2 KDA having fun and constantly improving, or at least learning from some idiot play i managed to bungle. I owe a lot of this to my teammates.
Agreed, felt like that many times. I just try to remember that I play to relax and have fun. Getting better is a part of that, but sometimes I just have remind myself things don't always work out the way you want them to the first few times.
I’ve been saying this to my friends for so long. Destiny has SO many different ways to play and people that don’t experiment at least a little are really missing out, and they tend to be the angrier ones that get burnt out and frustrated
One of the biggest personal examples of that for me is with my first 2 characters, my first was a Hunter i mainly used Bottom Arc with. I eventually got bored with him and made a warlock on bottom Void and fell in love. As i swaped elements around and tried new dumb weapons on both ive come up with really fun ways to play, like Witherhoard Devour for raids with my Warlock, or Bow/Handcannon Hunter in PVP Or my personal favorite meme Top Void Hunter, with an Empty Sword, stealthing and one taping people xD
That Lumina Game play was great! I personally love the warlock healer build with Lumina :) another fun thought provoking video! Very glad ypu finished it
Great video. That message at the end is something I wish I could give to my clanmates. I can't tell you how many times I've heard them screaming about something in pvp killing them.
As much as I may have bitched in the past about this or that in the crucible, I have to say that my times I spend in there doing exactly what you said towards the end of the video are my best and most fun times in the game. I’m not the best, but it’s still a lot of fun. And just relaxing and getting into that zone where you’re feeling the game and not taking unnecessary risks make for fond memories. Thanks for the video Nomad! These always tune me back into how to just have fun and not get overly worked up when I hit a (long streak for me) streak of bad days. It is like meditation when you can get there, and I love for this game to be fun.
Great stuff. I took a long break from Destiny. I came back and am enjoying it for what it does, and it’s been great. Spending more time in raids than grind PvP. Just taking in everything it offers. Nobody will put “Destiny sweatlord” on their resume or tombstone. Have fun with the game, or put that energy elsewhere. Until next time.
I always change my weapons, its always healty, and makes you make your own meta, and for me thats what destiny was always was about. "We shape our tools, and our tools shape us"
Really love your videos not just for their info and advice but for their honesty, humor, and positivity, and appreciate this one in particular so so much!
Thank you Nomad. This actually really helped. This weekend in trials, I tried to challenge myself to a solo que flawless, lfg trials has felt boring and unrewarding in terms of a pvp experience lately. I got so mad this weekend at all the bs, and I honestly hated how I felt. But I wasn’t even trying to adapt much, just press on and hope I played better than them. I think I’m going to try and work on adaptability above all else from now on. Thank you
This is really cool. I've taken a break from destiny for a bit because I've definitely gotten my worth out of this lengthy season, and excited to come back once all these sandbox changes hit. In the meantime I've been playing ALOT of Halo Infinite. The game that made me love Destiny in the first place. Being in this game where the sandbox is balanced, and im forced to adapt and learn from mistakes instead of just putting on dunemarchers to solve all my problems, has opened my eyes to the way I was misplaying in destiny, relying too much on abilites and 1 shots instead of relying on my instinct and mechanical knowledge. Play the way that makes the game feel like it's your experience, and don't be afraid to critique what's going on under the hood.
I've started playing Doom Eternal on PC lately and it's been a strange experience. I've watched a ton of high level players and I wanted to learn the rapid flow they had, and one of the things I had to forgo was the weapon wheel and have hotkeys for every weapon. It's not something I'm used to, even though I've been a PC player for a couple years; Even in D2 I had a hard time getting away from using the scroll wheel as my main weapon swap method, and I've noticed in the few crucible games and nightfalls already that I more reflexively use the hotkeys. Part of the reason I wanted to get away from the wheel is because I fumbled a flawless game because I over switched to my heavy and not my shotgun. And I remember many instances of leaving cover KNOWING it was a bad play, and yet I still did it. "Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast."
Excellent video and gracious relatable opinion that i truthfully welcome. I’ve just recently “tumbled” on your content and i am so glad i did. Your attention to quality of words and subjects stands above ohhh so many. I relate entirely with what you say. Instead of pursuing the meta and trying to grasp what didn’t feel good for me, i recently abandoned that quest and started doing my own thing. I feel now a better and more leveled head player while on Crucible/IB or Trials. Thank you and keep inspired!
Enlightening video as usual. One thing I would say helped me the most in my journey to improve is... Learning how to lose. I've experienced many loses over the years and through that I learned how to extract valuable information from those loses and not be angered by them.
As far as I can tell, this is the direction I NEED in order to improve myself in pvp not just in Destiny 2, but in all pvp related video games. I do want to say thank you as I'll try to implement this mindset when I try to get good in Destiny 2 PVP whenever I put myself through the gauntlet known as Crucible.
Wow! Great video as always! Learned something new. I tell some of my clanmates that everytime u die in pvp there is a lesson to be learned there. Thank u for reminding me of that
Total banger, not sure how much thought went into this video but I get the same vibes as the second half of Gjerda's Blink Warlock video. Keep it up, stay mentally/emotionally healthy, and keep feeding me content with that daddy voice.
I actually really appreciated this and I'll have to take your comment about "not leaving cover until you can secure the kill" to heart. I've only been playing for about a year and am very new to modern gaming (my first console was an Atari 2600). I do really enjoy the game in all aspects, but I'm so so so bad at PvP I usually just avoid it. I think focusing on a slower pace like you mentioned could really help me a lot.
Aaaaannnd, he's back! :D Coming out of the gate swinging, I love it. I often jokingly refer to myself as a "professional filthy casual" because while I do want to be better, I am usually unwilling to transition into the kind of mindset required. I don't want to be a sweaty, I don't want to take a VIDEO GAME seriously enough to the point that it stops being fun, relaxing, or stress-relieving. This video made me realize its possible to do both. I just need to find my grove, find my lane where I can be an asset without raging every time I cross paths with Vex Mythoclast or Ace of Spades.
You can achieve something similar on a smaller scale if you want by picking an off-meta loadout for Iron Banner and sticking with it until all your bounties are complete. You will have frustrating games definitely, but you'll start to iron out the kinks in your build and you might just surprise yourself. The outright most fun I've had in this gmae in the last 12 months was last Iron Banner. I was running Well with Lumina and Boots of the Assembler. I matched alongside a 5-stack vs a 6-stack and I spent the entire game buffing my teammates. We mercied them in less than 3 minutes and it felt to damn rewarding.
My original MMO was Maplestory (where PvP wasn’t really a thing) Back then it was just about getting the biggest numbers on your attacks by grinding and looting. That’s how I’ve always played D2 and I haven’t gotten tired of it
I honestly feel the same way. I never took the game seriously and I just had fun trying my new toys in different activities, regardless if it's good or not
Take my sub!!! I believe two other content creators (imo) have the approach to D2 and its weapons, Coolguy and Raised by wolfs. But you are the first one I hear explaining it so well. I started enjoying 95 % of the D2 activities when I took it for what it is, a game. Meant to have fun. Also, I improved ( but am still bad) in pvp when I started to adapt my game style to the weapon I am using instead of trying to adapt the weapon to my game style. The one thing I never did though, was to blame others (players, meta, bungie) for my fails. Anyway, that was a great video and insight.
This reminds of what me and my buddy do whenever we sit down to play crucible together but are tired of the meta. We pick each other's loadouts. Sometimes we're nice and pick good stuff. Sometimes we're mean and pick bad stuff, and sometimes we just get weird with it. By making the other pick our loadouts it not only breaks some of the stale monotony of longstanding metas, it forced exactly this kind of adaptive play and made us better. Cause when the other guy says 'hey you need to use two bows and you can't use oathkeepers,' you learn how to lane or you die.
Lately I've feel a bit stuck, been trying several weapons (and subclasses) to change things up, and it's been really difficult. I've been stomped a lot more, which made me quit several times to prevent the angery taking over. I try to concentrate on the fun and adapting and improving, but sometimes it's too hard.
im 2 minutes in and i already agree with the part where you get better, i was playing other games for years and i was trash but as soon as i played destiny 2 for about 5 months i got way better from a kd that was 0.2 to around 2.
My biggest issue is that I tend to be overly aggressive a lot of the time without the movement skills necessary to do that effectively. A lot of that comes from the absurd number of hours I used to spend playing Gears of War and my aggressive play in that game was usually rewarded. The difference being that my movement skills in those games are good enough for me to do that, or at least they were. It's been a while since I've played. I also used to play a lot of Titanfall and I was able to play very aggressively in that as well because I spent a lot of time learning how to chain wall runs and build speed.
I'm 48 been gaming my whole life. I play destiny as a fill in game, something to just chill with mates. I main Battlefield games and have learnt some simple things over the years that when I see people play make these simple mistakes, Aim then shoot, never engage unless you are sure you can win, always have an exit strategy, always try to be covert (big one in Battlefield, keeping yourself off the Minimap,) work with your squad/team and finally always always always use cover.
I love your content its literally amazing to watch and gives me new perspectives on the games I play, I think you are a really unique channel that gives good insights, keep up the good work
I've played a handful of FPS games on a professional level and this is the approach I take when playing any game. It's a an incredible message to put out there and very eloquently said. Subscrbed. Much love.
I used to be always be at the top of the leaderboards in both destiny and halo but ever since the new gen came out i have to be hyper hyper focused to do that and its very hard to play pvp now without being extremely tense because of latency
This is a point I reached on my own a while back, and it's the reason I started trying every newly acquired weapon in at least a few crucible matches to see what I could learn from it, even if I personally disliked the weapon, there's no better way to learn the strengths and weaknesses of a weapon than using it yourself
I LOVE this view point. I've always been a hard-core pve player and just starting to get into pvp now that stasis is pretty tamed. This video really hits the right spots.
Nice vid friend. As you say, it's primarily a looter shooter and accepting that I wanna put in a word for Graviton Lance. For early game content in PvE against hoards of enemies, it's a god sent weapon! I can totally see how it would be pointless in PvP, but it wasn't designed for that. Also, have to say, I wish there were more players like you who can actually step back from the "gotta be the best" mentality. "Where am I on the leader board, what's my K/D ratio" etc. Aren't we primarily playing games for fun? Personally, I like to find a spot away from the action, and just admire the scenery every once in a while. Hats off to the back room staff who make all this great scenery that we just run past so often in pursuit of the next kill or loot chest.
I started on PS then went to PC but still with controller-I really felt fluid with a controller with paddles on the back and thumbs never leaving the sticks so it was hard to give up. Then when I committed to transitioning to m&k, I thought I was like an unfortunate someone after an accident in rehab having to learn to walk again. But, having to be conscious of everything seems to have improved my decision making. I am still not as flow state with movement yet on m&k but having a personal goal that wasn’t an efficiency number or kill count has made the game fresh because I am more mindful when I play. That sounds like zen-wankery but I have really enjoyed what the transition has offered which surprisingly has not just been different movement.
I just want to say, I dont play D2 much anymore, waiting for the Witch Queen and being an adult and all. But I still Keep up with Nomads Channel, the mad lad makes some seriously good content.
this makes me wonder how he would do if he played fighting games after having this sort of realization. great video, reminded me of why I love improvement in the first place ^^
Most of my enjoyment as of late (besides playing with friends) has been build crafting. Today I tried to come up with a build to make a lightweight bow work (it was hit or miss). This has made me SUPER resource poor but the fun is worth it.
I've never been good at using the meta weapons and builds and I realized the reason why is because all the meta stuffs I tried didn't fit my play style, so I always reverted back to the weapons I was ever so slightly proficient with. And that's why I've never been good at the PvP section of the game is because I wasn't adaptable enough to learn different more efficient play styles
Love this video bud - of all the content around this is some of the most engaging. Honest, informative and delivered in a style that puts a smile on one's face. Keep up the good work bro 🙏
I love this take because this is exactly what I learned "grinding" comp in Season of the Drifter. I just started playing videogames on PC and forced myself to get Recluse and Mountaintop (which was some special fucking hell), and I absolutely sucked. I had to completely relearn the fundamentals of not only aiming and moving, but of Destiny 2 itself. I raged a lot but I learned a completely new playstyle that managed to take advantage of the fact I didn't have Luna's Howl and everyone else did, and even though I was definitely still shit and lost way too much, I was just shit enough to get Recluse. And have fun doing it. Against Luna's Howl. and Spectral Blades. It was probably my favorite, most impactful experience in this game, and ever since then preached we need to remember to have fun in the looter game first, and take it seriously some other step down the line. I love this video.
Great entertaining video. I've been playing Destiny for years & I find PvP really hard no matter how I play or the set up I use. Trail's is impossible for standard player's because of the opponent's you have to face
y'know, it's funny seeing this pop up this season because i went through a sort of reckoning myself after having mained fighting lion for ~11 seasons. i cracked 20,000 pvp kills with it because i pushed myself to do it after the nerfs and i was close, and i ended up miserable towards the end of the process. i hung it up once i was done and tried other things, learned what i was capable of and what i wasn't. and funnily enough pigeonholing myself for so long still felt like it made me a better player at the end of it all, because i learned all the *other* things along the way. i picked up bows, shotguns, fusions for a bit and i felt free; free to be *bad.* and i think there's something to letting yourself be bad at something for a while. but only for a while. after that comes the villain arc.
For me it's the time I spend alone in crucible that I learn the most about my own playstyle and how to tune it and make it advantageous and not otherwise. I've got this Liar's Handshake build I'm working on that's great fun with my 1-2 punch Sudden Death. I've gotta give credit where it's due though; I've learned a lot about buildcrafting in the past month, mostly thanks to TH-cam creators. It's really nice being at least a little good in PvP for once.
Last year I made the effort to take those "stay in cover till you know you can get the kill" and I was doing well.. Then something happened and I threw away all the knowledge I've picked up from your videos, and CoolGuy's. I've since gotten back to that mindset and just don't play 6v6 anymore!
I don't have anywhere near the time you are able to put into the game but this is basically how I've always felt playing destiny. I never understood all the rage and "nerf" this mentality. I guess I've always gone into Destiny for the variety. So I constantly switch up my loadouts, classes and exotics. So kinda what you had to do but in a much less intense fashion.
This is why some of the most fun I've ever had is meme-scrims with my friends. Just grab the funniest/least meta shit you have and go into a private rumble match. It forces you to think creatively and to acclimate yourself to an unusual playstyle. It also allows me to practice my pvp fundamentals with my friends even though they're nowhere near my skill level, because it's all fun and games, we all take it seriously enough to challenge ourselves with an unfamiliar setup, but not enough to get mad if we fail.
I quit d2 3 months ago and I've noticed something I didn't when D2 was the only fps I played and it's the controls, it doesn't matter if it's kbm or controller the controls are badly programmed and to be clear I've played a tonne of other fps games recently with both kbm and controller and nothing felt off like D2, I even had a go on a mates PlayStation to see if there was a difference and no it was off there too, I don't think any new approach to play or any dlc or update can fix what is broken right from its foundations.
Yeah. I have been using lumina on well warlock.. now I know lumina isn't the meta, but I have accepted that and decided to get good with a gun that I actually have fun using
Speaking about playing D2 wrong the whole time, I just "recently" realized, after playing on and off since day one, that I wasn't complete shit at pvp but that a 1.2x ads speed on a high base sensitivity wasn't the play(don't ask me why and how those were the settings cose idk), so yeah sometimes it's just a matter of how to approach the problem. Now i can actually use hand cannons and linear fusions are effectively as free as they looks when others use them.
One of my favorite things to do in destiny pvp is play with randomized loadouts from dim; it gives me a bunch of new weapons I don't usually use and let's me play with everything. For me, it's always been about messing around with different weapons.
I played Shatterdive for a good while because it was broken and every other Hunter and their mom used it. Then I tried Halo Infinite for a little bit. After I came back to D2, I lowered my sensitivity, hopped onto top tree Arcstrider, and started slaying. Sometimes the whole "using the meta" thingy actually ends up making you worse. Granted, I still use Stompees and I'm using that new Dire Promise from Xur with Snapshot and Elemental Capacitor alongside Duality, but I used to just use Eye of Sol with Igneous Hammer or Palindrome on Shatterdive, a loadout meant and designed to play lame despite my somewhat aggressive and pressure-oriented playstyle. Using what's more fun definitely feels way better than just conforming to the meta. Luckily, a lot of loadouts that I have fun with are already meta, but I'm glad to be off of Revenant at least.
I recently dumped a shitton of hours that I probably shouldn't have as a student into Halo Infinite but I feel that the no-bullshit environment provided by that game as opposed to D2 has helped me improve so much
My biggest grievance of PvP is the absolute garbage that is peer-to-peer connections. Nothing feels more frustrating than having some of the fastest internet you can get with a low ping, yet you still have to deal with turds from Lithuania on sub-dialup internet glitching around. Or, strafing around a corner and the RNG of "oh, their internet was different than yours" getting you killed when you were clearly entirely behind cover.
I've kinda been doing this & struggling with this my entire D2 career. Picking up certain weapons just HURTS sometimes, and yet I enjoy some of the randomest things. Like Khepris Horn with top tree sunbreaker and Icefall mantles + javlin behemoth. I really need to force myself to play with different tactics & weapims more to broaden my horizons of skill.
I think I’m going to take on this challenge. Use every exotic for a while, try and get good with it and when I feel comfortable, move to the next. Hopefully it’d change my play style for the better. Thanks for the idea Nomad, god help me
Some things I’m better at because of destiny 2: Movement/camera angle management. Being comfortable with being critically damaged. Situational observation and awareness. D2 is such a sophisticated game that you can’t fully appreciate it until you play something else.
One thing I would start doing it to learn when to ads and not compulsively do it when an enemy comes into range Not every weapon needs ads to be accurate
I feel like we are on the same level. Very hard to explain but when you were talking about what the game changed in you, i felt you were talking of my experience too. specially the part about serenity and meditation. I play pvp. i dont care if i win or lose. All i care about is me and how i performed. Im always on top of the leaderboard and it doesnt matter what guns i play. I can play many hours without knowing. i can adapt to all playstyles and play every gun with good success. i did a test once. 1v1s against 20 random good players (1.5kd+ overall). They all had different playstyles and i used different guns for almost all of them. i went 19-1. Out of all of them, only 1 guy beat me. My mentality, if its in the game: use it. cheese, meta, trash, odd. All equal. I dont remember last time i got mad at this game in pvp. i am at a level of full acceptance and nothing surprises me anymore.
I heard you loud and clear. It's a gambit game at heart. Silly me.

this does seem rather arbitrary and highly unfair.

because pvp it's not fun by any means
Fantastic video. I wanted to improve but never really did until i started trying new things and focusing on the fun first.
Saw the title & went "Of course, shoot your teammates and jump off the map"... Lol
Im so happy you can admit you've changed your perspective ... forgetting about fun it's a HUGE problem in this community

I love this mindset so much and I hope tons of people see this and take it to heart! 💛
I've experienced many loses over the years and through that I learned how to extract valuable information from those loses and not be angered by them.
added to my favorites. What a phenomenal piece of content man! Well done.
Welcome back AM! Good to hear from you. Keep up the great content.
I hate PVP too old and old reflexes, but this video makes me wanna get gud, or practice good habits. Pure inspiration. More please.
I lol'd knowingly at that final statement. But do not despair, my friend. It's timely and always welcome. Cheers!

Dude I love your stuff. I genuinely enjoy your videos so much. Make sure to keep taking care of yourself!
Caught up on my TH-cam watch list and I can’t thank you enough for the mention, Nomad.
uWu Daddy Nomad with another piece of juicy milky content
im dead haha was looking to see if you would comment on this too! loved the thorn video btw! my fav gun tbh
I love it when you zoom out and talk like this. Exactly what I signed up for
Aaaaannnd, he's back!
My original MMO was Maplestory (where PvP wasn’t really a thing)
Back then it was just about getting the biggest numbers on your attacks by grinding and looting.
Good video Nomad!
I love Crimson. I'm glad you gave it a mention!
The MAIN problem I have with Destiny 2 is the lack of decimal points in the sensitivity settings, 44cm 360 distance? No thank you bungo 😢
This dude is a goat. Great video. Can’t wait to relax a little and git gud next week after update. Let’s go
My biggest issue is that I tend to be overly aggressive a lot of the time without the movement skills necessary to do that effectively.
I love your content its literally amazing to watch and gives me new perspectives on the games I play, I think you are a really unique channel that gives good insights, keep up the good work
As always, love your take, wisdom and open mind. Great video, opened my eyes a bit
It basically forces me to stay in PvE until i get a new xbox
This is a point I reached on my own a while back, and it's the reason I started trying every newly acquired weapon in at least a few crucible matches to see what I could learn from it, even if I personally disliked the weapon, there's no better way to learn the strengths and weaknesses of a weapon than using it yourself
I LOVE this view point. I've always been a hard-core pve player and just starting to get into pvp now that stasis is pretty tamed. This video really hits the right spots.
The content I needed today. Appreciated!
Yes, love to see the Critbuff shoutout. He makes excellent videos and definitely deserves it!
"Only leave cover if you're confident you can secure a kill." - Ascendant Nomad (Best Advice a Guardian could receive... or give.)
Great vid, good points, well said 🏹
I started on PS then went to PC but still with controller-I really felt fluid with a controller with paddles on the back and thumbs never leaving the sticks so it was hard to give up.
You almost make me want to come back to Destiny... Almost. Love your content
I've never been good at using the meta weapons and builds and I realized the reason why is because all the meta stuffs I tried didn't fit my play style, so I always reverted back to the weapons I was ever so slightly proficient with. And that's why I've never been good at the PvP section of the game is because I wasn't adaptable enough to learn different more efficient play styles
ive always felt this way about loadouts, if its fun and you stick to the basics it doesnt matter the weapon you use.
Awsome vid! could even say that its changing the perspective how you can see things in D2
Am amazing video, as always... Thanks for taking this time for us ❤️
I needed this, thank you. I was convincing myself never to play trials again today.
I hit that like button I know making a video takes much work. Enjoyed it. Thanks
"contradict ourselves until we give it another go" Me trying to make 140's work when I obviously suck with the archetype. Miss my 150's
My group plays *laser tag* every now and then it's hilarious
Ive been playing since D1 and only just realized you can masterwork armor to increase stats which changed my crucible performance right away.
I recently dumped a shitton of hours that I probably shouldn't have as a student into Halo Infinite but I feel that the no-bullshit environment provided by that game as opposed to D2 has helped me improve so much
Before mechanical improvement comes mental improvement. Great video.
Seems like a fulfilling journey. Can't wait to see the result of all these efforts when the Exotic video is finally complete.
Thanks for the idea Nomad, god help me
"Only leave cover if your confident that you can secure a kill." 8:20
You got a like just for the effort put into the exotic weapon testing. Holy cow..
Some things I’m better at because of destiny 2:
Movement/camera angle management.
Being comfortable with being critically damaged.
Situational observation and awareness.
D2 is such a sophisticated game that you can’t fully appreciate it until you play something else.
Two take-ways; 1) do not move from cover unless I can secure a kill, 2) Graviton Lance is bad.
One thing I would start doing it to learn when to ads and not compulsively do it when an enemy comes into range
Not every weapon needs ads to be accurate
Love this video brother, well said! 🔥❤️
If nothing else I appreciate this video because of the well timed shatter dive triple kill after saying “Cheesy abilities”
