My favourite use of the editor by far is going into competitions and turning off VAR! I get that it's realistic, but having a VAR check after almost every goal gets a bit tedious after a while. It's not like the game doesn't already know what the right decision is.
Thanks for this. Have never used in-game editor in the past so it gave a good view of it. One thing that always irritated me was nationality of players. On those young kids they could often be wrong from the get go by SI. Young Africans living in Europe then decide years into the save to play for ancestors home country. It happens very often and you find out that after playing awhile from the regular IRL news. SI got it wrong. So this can be changed. Love that you can change names on perhaps a fictional player popping in and you know IRL player was too young to be in the DB can take the fictionals place further into your save. Great. Same with VAR changes. Some league don't have it this year but planning to change that 1-2 years from now. Can be done then in the editor ? Still one thing that might be harder and risky to do with a in-game editor (and missing I think) is to handle the relegation and promotion of teams in countries that got North/South/West/East in lower divisions. In the past you could end up with the far southern team ending up in the North Div when it got promoted or relegated. Common problem in Scandinavian countries for their lower divisions.
You guys should do a video about the pregame editor. It’s very confounding and unapproachable for beginners. I’ve been playing for 20 years and it’s that way to me!
Oh man, you could do a series on the pregame editor alone. It’s a very complex beast and we’ve got a lot of respect for anybody who manoeuvres it with competence. Something we’d love to bring to the channel though, maybe a guest
I always want to use the pregame editor to unlock unusable, leagues, and nations in the game. That’s easy enough to do but it gets complex when you’re trying to simulate the different playoff styles for instant.
I now try and split my saves into one of two types: the serious saves, where I try and avoid using the editor in all but the rarest circumstances, and the fun saves where I don't mind using it regularly because...well, I'm supposed to be having fun with them lol
Great way of playing the game. Very similar here, I have my long term save where it’s a tough challenge and then I’ll mess around the experiments throughout the year too

I think the last FM I had was 2016, and on steam you just downloaded something called FM Cloud (I believe) for free. Was the editor free initially, or did I find some dodgy editor somehow?

Yeah you can add yourself with the editor. Not sure how it works on mobile, but on PC you can add a new manager with the same profile and take over that team. Then retire the other manager

You can get the pre game editor which is free and create different custom databases and select which database you want before u start a new save. You can also edit a lot more in the pre game editor like league structures, custom team, custom awards etc

League rules are really complex, so editing that needs to be pre editor and then tested. However, you can remove rules which may help you get around the issue. Within the squad page, click editor and you’ll see squad reg rules

Country is quite easy, you can improve the youth recruitment and facilities of the clubs in that country. You could also make the HoYD of that nation 20 across the board

Is there a way to remove the in-game editor icon from appearing in the menu bar? I don't mean unchecking the option "show in-game editor in the menu bar", I mean removing the icon entirely. When you untick that option it appears as a grey icon, but it's still there. Is there a way to uninstall it (I have the game in the Epic Store).

I just want to make my Coach Un-sackable. I have a Dream of Youth Development from the bottom. A bit of the Money Ball, perhaps. Yes, eventually to climb, but really (to start at least) to grow free Players into Valuable Transfers. I really wish there was an Owner Mode to FM, so I could set the Goals/Vision and do the Upgrades.
I want to relegate Manchester United to National League and rebuld them, all this info will be good to release the good players and change finances etc but dont know how to actually get them there in the first place!

Could you maybe do a video of the pre-game editor on how to enable unplayable leagues/nations, for example Cyprus or Ecuador? I think thats something many people would like to know instead of downloading files from Steam and other third parties
The in game editor isn't just for cheating. I've bought it just so I can go into the competition rules and turn off VAR. Having a 10 second VAR check after almost every goal isn't a fun gameplay experience.

Why don’t they do it on console, why does pc have so much advantage over console what’s the point of making it same price but less features
On pc you can even add mods while on console it costs like 10€ more to add mods and its 100x harder
So they can fleece console players for micro transactions. They couldn't get away with that on PCs.
PC is THE master race, they make games from PC too bro 😂
Unfortunately it's just the way consoles work which socks
Console is moddable their just lazy devs, other games such as fallout 4 have mods as the devs added mod tools to the in game interface

In game there is. You can add a column called ‘media description’, as long as they’ve been scouted then it will appear as ‘Wonderkid’

You don’t need the editor to do that, you can do that in normal game

If you go into the player in question, you can click on ‘start editing’ and it will show all attributes

Afraid not, each save game creates a separate database.

Yeah it was so annoying for FM23
but if I want to move more than one player in my team can I or can it only be done once?
You can do as many as you want, and then move that back. Unlikited

Yes you can, head to the staff members profile page and you’ll be able to do it
i dont know the reason but even though my in-game editor works fine i cant edit finances and stuff what can i do to fix it
I have downloaded the editor data after I bought the game but when I click on downloads it comes up saying that I haven’t bought it?
Via steam? Strange. Maybe check that it’s definitely gone out. Failing that, I’d check the steam account and maybe reset

Go to Preferences -> Interface -> Untick Show In-Game Editor.
Does anyone know how I can add the achievements option to players in fm editor? Because some players do not have the option to add them.

So you purchased the editor? You shouldn’t need to do anything aside from start a new game and follow the setup step.
