Agreed. The dream is to be able to export a batch of them directly from an old save, into the new save. Bonus points if you can randomise the birthday, so you never know when they'll pop up
This is brilliant. I had a wonderkid come through my fm23 save called Stefano Vesi, I loved this kid and was sad when I left him behind in FM23 (yes I know I can use my FM23 save in FM24). Anyway, this has allowed me to create Stefano to load into my game. Cheating? yeah probably, but I have a bond with Stefano, he is my child and I will not let him rot away in some old save!

Quick question: since they're youth players is there a maximum age they can be? Or could you theoretically get a 40 year old youth player from your next intake?
That's something else i've not tested, but that would straight hilarious to be able to spawn like a 70 year old

Hello, have followed your process and created a player. But my issue is every player have created are not being used by their clubs or transferred. They are loan listed but no one is dropping an offer for them. They are being use in friendlies.
Despite their performance, still the clubs are not using them in competitive matches.
No matter the leagues or clubs not even among substitutes
You can also make more players per intake but only one per club.
Just make sure they are born in the same year.
How do you do that?
I figured out how to generate 3 players to the same team in the same season,go to the forum in the description, and you'll see how i did it

can you use PA ranges, like -10 etc, for the players or does it have to either be a fixed number or blank?
We were actually just discussing this on the discord so i have a sort of answer, apparently on FM23 you could use them but only in multiples of 10 for some reason, so -10 would work but not -5 or -15. I've not checked this on FM24 so it may require some trial and error
if -10 works thats a range between 190-200 I think. -9 would be 180-190 and -8 would be 170-180 or something close to those ranges

as this is changing the game files, that means that the same newgen will appear in every single save I create?

Nice video overall but why make your life so much difficult and not wait for pre game editor where you can have more specific details about your newgen
Because as far as i'm aware you can't add regens with the pre game editor? I'd love to know how if you can though.
Can these players be poached mid-season by other clubs like we see sometimes?
I don't believe so, as we discovered last night that the game actually treats them as "faceinthegame" players so they are guaranteed to spawn at the correct club as far as i know

Is there any difference between this and custom newgens from the pre game editor
The differences that I see are 1) the players will be generated in game faces this way (from the editor they will not), and 2) they can be set to appear in later seasons rather than being active from the start. I have only used the pre game editor before though, so I might well be missing something.

Apparently you can, and the pathway is /Users/NAME/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Football Manager 2024/data/database/db/2400 But i've never used a mac so it's tough for me to provide support there

The LIBRARY folder is hidden on a Mac, you hold OPTION key whilst clicking GO (at the top menu bar in finder) and you'll see the Library appear 😀

For the walker brothers is the game actually considering them brothers or just two separate people with the same surname.
I'm thinking like you could add like Harry Gray at leeds for the second season or Ronaldo Jr at al nassr in 3 years if that is the case
Unfortunately the game just considers them to be different people. The reason the brother thing for Aaron exists, is that in one of my test before i did the agent video, the game amazingly actually genned a brother for him the following year and he was listed as his brother but i was never able to recreate it

Back in he days of hardcore CM and later FM there were two universal rules. You don't touch any sort of editor, you don't reload.

I was trying this at the start of fm 2021 and it didn’t work so I wanted to check what I did wrong and I forgot the first “ at the time I was so frustrated because I didn’t know wat I did wrong
The tiniest little things can break it, when i was first testing it, i couldn't get it to work, then realised i had a random space after one of the words and it was breaking it
