    After hundreds, possibly thousands, of hours of tinkering on my tactics over several different careers (my favourite being taking Blyth Spartans from the bottom of the football league to being european champions), I've finally settled on my ultimate tactical set up...a kind of asymettrical 4-1-4-1, with two isomeric forms, which I'd dearly love to submit to your expert analysis but I've no idea how, as I play on the PS5. Hi guys, Killnion here (the first tactic), thought I'd share some information
    It works very well (won premier league and on-course for champions league with Colchester when I go back to it), it was inspired by Pep at city as he uses this a variation similar to this in some games. It is also similar to Alonso's formation, tho I made this before this season so that's just by chance.
    Quite a few people was right with their interpretations such as the 4-man block of midfield, Liberio stepping up alongside dlp, etc.
    You need the right personal e.g. fast WCB, technical Liberio, high work-rate Wingers.
    I can't link the tactic in this comment so :(

    0:52 I made almost the same tactic inspired on Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen, but I use two CMs instead of two DMs and I have 1 winger and 1 wide midfielder. The libero is very, very, very important, basically the heart of the team. It's amazing to press the opposition. Sometimes I end games with 80% possession, and goals from counterpressing are frequent. You just need to be very careful with your setup, though.
    I won the Premier League and lost UCL final with that tactic.

    1:29 I made up this 3-2-4-1 tactic in FM07 or about then. It didn’t have the positional roles, but it was the same players positions. I was San Lorenzo in Argentina and they were gash. They had decent players in these positions but no good CMs, so I got creative to use what I had and it also covered all the weak areas (or red patches). I jumped between 2-1 and 1-2 in the front 3, and it worked because we went on a mad unbeaten run.

    Have played with 2WCB + Libero and can confirm: There's a HUGE gap in the middle of your defense, if your keeper is not Neuer or Allison, you'll have trouble, and even then, it will hurt you against very quick strickers. That said, if your team is good enough, you will probably score more than the other team. I fixed it by playing a BPD on cover or defense. Also, a Half-Back DM works amazingly with the 2WCBs.

    The ONLY way that first tactic works is if you put the DLP on Defence (ideally a pacey half-back,) or like you say, ditch the Libero - but I do love creating a good Libero system, which is why I know this doesn’t work. I’m not having that tactic works one bit.
    His sim is probably suffering from a classic case of Brain Drain where literally every player with good mentals and/or good attacker randomly all leave over a certain period, so no matter how much xG he concedes, no one in the league has the composure or finishing to punish him. Not a sustainable tactic at all.

    Ran a similar tactic to the ARSE 4141. I used a DLP instead of a DM , wingers on cut inside with one on attack and one on support, and an AP on support instead of AM. I won the seria A 4 times in a row with a europa league and 4 domestic cups at inter. In game when you use high pressing with 4141 like this the positional play overloads the opponent as soon as the ball is turned over.

    • @Davidbaratunk
      @Davidbaratunk 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi! I sent in that tactic, and you're totally right. The toels for the DM and the two AM's were set to that because of the players I had available, and because I wanted different roles, so that I could incorporate players with different skills. And yeah, I forgot to mention that a lot of goals come from the opponent losing the ball in the middle of the pitch (often because one of the AM's are tackling back) and then the attackers just go forward like a swarm. usually one player gets the ball down the wings and by that point you often have 4 players crashing the box.

    On my Sparta Rotterdam save in FM22, there were occasions where I was switching my 4-2-3-1 Wide tactic to something more conservative, when wanting to retain the lead or a draw when playing against bigger teams.
    So, by just making a few tweaks and basically filling up the central area of the pitch, I played:
    Mikki Van Sas (GK-De)
    Denzel Hall (FB-De)
    Gerasimos Mitoglou (CD-St)
    Derrick Luckassen (BPD-De)
    Andreas Poulsen (WB-Su) - probably the most effective & powerful long throw I've ever seen
    David Kinsombi on DM (BWM-De)
    then on central midfield area, right to left:
    Sven Mijnans (Mez-Su)
    Amadou Onana (Box to box) - bargain deal from Lille and he delivered
    Magnus Mattsson (Mez-Su)
    Octavian Popescu (AP-Su)
    Ellis Simms (PF-De or At)
    After a few positive results, I decided to make this my main tactic. With a few tweaks here and there (such as Lewis Hall and Eder Balanta), I went on to win the league, the dutch cup, the Europa League once and establish the team as the most reputable in the country. Not bad for this 4-1-3-1-1. I didn't even need to ask for forcing opposition outside and with tons of work rate and stamina, my opponents needed to try A LOT to score.

  • @ii-xz9ui
    @ii-xz9ui 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    i just play WCB with Libero all the time and its pretty defensively stable cause out of posession the libero just plays normally and if your WCBs are actually fast enough it just doesnt have any problems

    Ahh wish I would have known about this. I created a tactic in my Ajax rebuild based on a Xabi Alonso style of play. Defends in a 5-3-2, but attacks in a 4-2-4. Plays some beautiful football!

    I kinda hoped Zealand would put each one of these to the test and see how they work out in a match (use editor to put whole team to max tactical knowledge to rule that factor out)
    BTW, can you download these from somewhere? I wanna get them a spin of my own :)

    I remember Gung Ho! It's older than FM08 though because that one is "All Out Attack" instead (versus Ultra Defensive. Was Gung Ho's counterpart "Park The Bus"?). I feel like 06 or 07 may have still had Gung Ho though.

    Embrace the Brian! A tactic very much in my heart as I’m playing something similar in my AFC Crewe save and like Brian I’m clueless with tactics and I’ve no idea how’s it’s working as I’m as defensive and basic as that tactic with all my defenders and two DM’s on defend duty but for some reason I’m blowing teams away.

    The first tactic is similar to my 3-1-2-3-1 (FM calls it 3-3-3-1 DM Wide) and ive wanted to tweak it a little more for defense, maybe switching a M to a DM. But this one is intriguing. My only issue is wanting to stay away from those players that can only play one side. It's why i eliminated fullbacks. I am less strict with AML/R due to wanting some width but i like my backup to be able to play both

    Oh man, I'm mad I missed the submission, I have a defensive tactic that they wouldn't believe how successful it is. It's a 4-3-3 with balanced mentality, low block and a wide Trequartista. It's truly beautiful to see those counters and the Trequartista magic.
    This tactic won me the brazilian 2nd division unbeaten with 94 points, won me the Copa do Brasil on the same year, in the next year we won the Copa Libertadores straight away knocking out big teams in every stage and on the 3rd season we are alive in all competitions and leading the 1st division with 53 points in 22 matches.

      @@lowencraft1404 No reloads. Before tooking over Mirassol and building this tactic, I was managing a very small brazillian team, achieving 2 promotions in 4 seasons from the 5th tier to the 3rd tier and constant relegation fights on the state championship. Never won or even fought for a trophy before tooking over Mirassol.
      Things clicked with this tactic and the team. Save scumming takes away all the fun of these achievements.

  • @joaoostermann210
    @joaoostermann210 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I use something very similar to the first one and it works PERFECTLY, instead of wcb i use 2 bpd, and instead of wingers i use 2 complete wing backs (one in support and the other one in attack)

    • @joaoostermann210
      @joaoostermann210 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Its not as strange as it looks, in attack u pretty much have 2 players playing in beetwen the lines in the half spaces while the wingbacks provide widht, and the 2 cms providing structure. In defense ur pretty much playing with a back 5(if u use wingbacks instead of wingers) u should also tell your ams to stay wide without the football so it becomes basically a 5-4-1 without the ball, and 2-1-4-3 in attack

    • @joaoostermann210

    That first system of the Harrier Jet absolutely demolishes two striker systems. Outnumbers them all over the pitch, two AM's can pin be used to pin good fullbacks and helped out with winger settings on the wide midfielders, Segundo Volante perfect for man to man presses against and is really solid defensively. Just don't play it against a 4141, you'll get cooked.

    11:47 I loved gung ho. Used whenever I was 3-0 down at half time. Usually with a change to 2-4-4 or 3-3-4 in the old games.
    Celtic came from 0-3 at ibrox for 3-3 and Partick thistle came from 0-4 to 4-4 at home to raith rovers.
