Hi Merrill, I am from the UK and i am sorry to tell you the old Penny is not a 1907 coin it is King George the V 1910-1936. Before him was King Edward the 7,1901-1910.
Hey Merrill...the long triangular item with prongs is the back of a brooch to clip it on...it had a hinge...many times women wore them close to the neck...ca. 1910 thru the 1950’s. Many made in Czech

That Japanese coin is year 29 (1896) made of .800 silver (0.1386 troy ounce). In comparison, a silver quarter is .900 silver (.1809).

Try the coinoscope app. More times than not, it pulls the coin up first time. Great tool for unidentifiable/foreign coins, also.
